I'm waiting for an explanation for why KC left her purse in the car. Imo, I think she was hoping someone would steal it (the car). I believe that was her plan, but the dummy cameras probably scared off any would-be thieves.

And you all know the rest of the story...

:boohoo:

Were her keys in the car or in her purse?

I bet he is going to call an ex-boyfriend of Amy's who dated KC. He pressed her about dating other guys who dated KC.

I liked when Mason got put in his place... telling the witness, "Look at me!"

Um... Hello? These are professional people, trained to talk to the jury, after all, they, THE JURY, are WHY the experts are testifying! These Pro's give their answer to the people who matter... the jurists.

To embarrass yourself by telling the witness, "Look at me!" You're telling the jury that THEY are not important... can we say "lose points?"

Who was he speaking to? I was away from my puter for several hours and missed that.

Re: the hairs in the trunk. Bear with me for a while because I have a stupid question.

Okay, so what we're trying to prove is that Caylee was in the trunk when she was dead and decomposing. Right?

So we need Caylee's hair in the trunk, preferably with the death band, because other kind of Caylee hair could have gotten there in her backpack and other things or when she climbed in the trunk as a joke or as a transfer via Casey handling Caylee and then stuff in the trunk. Right?

So they found Caylee's hair with a death band there in the trunk. Right?

Sooooo... Either Caylee was in the trunk while dead or the hair with the death band got there via transfer from someone who was in contact with dead Caylee's hair. Right?

So can anyone explain to me, what does it matter if other hairs were found there? I assume that there could have been lots of hairs in that trunk in, say, May 2008 and June 2008 and any other point in time. Jose Baez did kindly explain that it was an old car and even if meticulously kept, hairs are shed all the time.

But we do not require for the trunk to have been surgically sterile for Caylee's body to have been placed there, do we?

So why does it matter if there were 12 or 17 hairs there?

ITA!
It is really sad that HLN is harping on George and sexual abuse, still trying to advance this defense. Sorry, HLN, I am soooo beyond opening statements and am dealing with the trial at hand.
IMO, there is a huge difference in asking how the jury might relate certain comments to the OS, and having a sexual abuse victim on to bolster the defense's OS.

Maybe WSers ought to clue HLN in to the fact that JB is going to try to switch horses midstream and go with a grief trauma theory instead of the original SA trauma theory. :innocent:

I missed the great CM in action today, so I just watched what y'all have been discussing. The "I'm over here" comment. All I can say is :laughcry:

The entire DT hates anyone who has respect for the jury and speaks to them directly!

My favorite part of today was hearing from the CSI that she had to pull the hairs from Casey's head with her hands, since her tweezers "didn't work." lol

Man..I miss all the good stuff. Did he say it like I said it to my kids when they were little? "Look at me when I'm talking to you?" or what?

I bet CM makes his wife walk behind him, too. Sounds like that kind of mentality. You know, wives should be seen and not heard. Little woman, and all that hockey. Barefoot and pregnant. All JMO of course.

It wasn't her purse - it was what the family referred to as her work bag. I believe the only thing in it was Amy's resume.

But I believe ICA left it there hoping someone would think it was a purse and break into the car and/or steal it.

I just want to say, to all sexually abused victims here, I am so terribly sorry that you have had to go through that. This claim by Casey must truly make you feel livid. I cannot even imagine. Know that you are loved, know that we are also so livid at this claim. :heartbeat:

Maybe thats why George didnt see anything when she was getting the gas cans? I cant remember if he was close enough to see into the trunk?
IIRC, he said early on that KC wouldn't let him near the trunk, that she insisted on getting the items herself.

I don't think it should matter either, but JB can possibly use this to imply someone else was involved in putting Caylee's body there. How? Beats the hell out of me! On the other hand, Baez seems to be implying there never was a dead body in the car though!

I also posted this in the Amy H Testimony thread..........interesting tidbit! I don't think we've ever seen a transcript from a sidebar.

Watching WKMG talking heads after testimony ended today. Tony P obtained the transcript of the sidebar at the end of Amy's testimony. Apparently, she was served with a subpena by the defense to keep her in FL for the purpose of impeaching her testimony. She was very upset because she had an afternoon flight back to Barcelona. HHJP asked JB what specifically he intended on impeaching her with and he said "I'd rather not say". In the end, HHJP allowed her to leave and said if the DT needs her testimony again, he will arrange for her to appear via Skype! Waiting to see if the transcript appears on Click Orlando!

Wow. I don't blame her for being upset. First she gets victimized by her bff, who steals money from her, and lies to her, falsely promising to get a house together. Then she comes to testify and is attacked by the DT, and in front of millions of people, she is accused of being a drunk 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Why would she want to come back on the stand? Especially because there is no point to it. She knows nothing that can help Baez. His only desire is to bring her back and attack her some more. imoo

Baez asked inappropriate questions of someone who was tasked with the "collection" of evidence. It is not the job of this witness to test or analyze the evidence that he collects.

Baez also appears to be very eager to ask questions in regards to "cheese." (yes, I used quotes!)

Objection! There is no evidence to support the implication that velveeta is cheese!

I agree with you. The point jose was trying to make was the CSI people were sloppy. Look they missed all these hairs after they went over the car 12 times and vaccumed it, what else did they miss?

Wasn't the purse described as Casey's "work purse" by Cindy? I assumed it meant she had another purse for other purposes. She left Caylee's stuff there as well, things that Caylee would have had with her if she'd been left at the babysitter's.

Possibly they just didn't register to her as important because she had already written Caylee off and why would she really need a work purse since she didn't work?

yes, as to LP

no details, just the teaser for tonight's JVM show. LP has been appearing there often, recently

I thought he got a cease and decist order from the A's lawyer and hes going on anyway! I read it on here a few pages back.

I've wondered this too. Why would she need it? Cindy called it her "work" purse, which would indicate she really doesn't need it. When I think about what is in my purse - checkbook, wallet, etc... - Well, she would have none of those things either. So, what was in it or why would she "need" it? :waitasec:

I tend to think that it was nothing more than a bag with meaningless crap in it. :twocents:
