Interesting that CSI collects both loose hair and then pulls a hair from the head.

I wonder what the difference?

The principle is to collect at least a sample size of 25-50 hairs (nope don't count them, just "guestimate by volume) in order to achieve a ROOT and then non rooted hairs are used in microscopic studies.

I also think ICA is very jealous of LDB. JB does look her up and down when she approaches the DT. This witness is very professional. OCSO trains their people very well to be respectful and professional in court.

How did they get the warrant so quickly? I think ICA would have objected if they started trying to pull her hair out without a warrant and I understand that a warrant would have to be obtained to do that.

These samples were taken 12 days after she was arrested. A warrant takes only a couple of hours to obtain.

Sorta wondering why this is all necessary... where's LDB going? Seems like she is on a path to something important?

All these witnesses are necessary in order to bring in collected evidence..to show "Chain of Custody" and who was the initial collector of said evidence and how it was secured and labelled...These people did NOT necessarily do any testing at all on these items...
An aside..Forensic collection and testing in reality is NOT like you see in such CSI programs...never mind the obtaining the results so fast...

When I was a little kid I had a bunch of toothbrushes too. I enjoyed getting them from the dentist. Maybe Caylee just liked them. Not sure. I did wonder that too, though.

Witness was then shown another package. She identified it as four tooth brushes belonging to Caylee. She obtained them from YM. She put them in the package and sealed it on 7/28/08.

She was then shown another package that she identified as one brush belonging to Caylee. She got this from YM. The package is sealed and dated - 7/28/08.

She was shown another package that she identified as one comb belonging to Caylee. It was dated 7/28/08 and she got it from YM.

She was shown another package she identified as one thermometer belonging to Caylee which she got from YM. She put it in the package and sealed it on 7/28/08.

She recognized ICA as the person who she obtained the cheek and hair samples. JB stipulated it was her.
