OMG! JB can't figure out the 3rd paragraph down, 4th sentence up! LOL!

Wow, so Baez can't count, and can't spell the elements he's arguing about. *facepalm* How. Did. He. Pass. LAW SCHOOL! God, I know law schools have standards!

Our producer says the jury is listening but looks weary... During Baez's cross examination

Hamburger now. Chicken? Dr. Vass has not studied these is JB's brilliant point.

Can't believe I am still learning from Dr. Vass even in cross-examination !! I really think the jury is liking him, and learning too. JB is not making any headway here.

Dr Vass' practical experience is what makes him a chemist, which is a heck of a lot more credible than a degree and no experience! It's common sense, IMO. Who cares about the paper? Experience is what counts, and Dr Vass is very highly regarded.

So has anyone kept count how many times Baez has said "you are not a chemist" or physicist?

Is it horribly inappropriate to say you could create a nice drinking game from this? Too bad it's the middle of the day.

here's a question I'm not sure anyone can answer but wouldn't there be a chemical released that is COMPLETELY unique to human decomposition itself? Like the specific chemical compound that makes up the smell that everyone says is totally unique to the smell of human decomp? Follow me?

ETA: And that chemical wouldn't be present if no human decomp happened there?

Might want Joypath to answer this for you as my chemistry background is about 10 years old at this point. I think the simple answer is no. There is no one chemical that would be unique to "human" decomp. However what Dr. Vass is trying to prove in his research is that there is a certain combination of chemicals present in varying degrees that is unique to human decomp.

Attorneys have their witness write things down for a jury to give it weight and importance. JB had to write all those things down himself and screwed it up in an epic manner.

He couldn't spell or follow along.

Casey appears to be quite engaged, following along with interest. Emotionless, but engaged and alert.

The different takes on the jurors by courtroom observers is interesting.

Jury is paying close attention to Vass. Some taking lots of notes. Some not. #caseyanthony

Here is the thing. Mr. Baez keeps saying you are not a chemist. Right. But now JB tries to outsmart him about the chemicals and can't. So what does this show the jury? While his PHD is not as a chemist, he sure has proved that Chemistry 101 wasn't Mr. Baez's first calling.

Nor was being a lawyer in my opinion....snort.

Do decomposing bodies have the munchies?

  • #754
Casey had to stifle back a smile, when JB said, "Close enough", as he abbreviated the word magnesium, as "mag" on his white board.

Amazing. Simply amazing that she can think ANYTHING relating to her being on trial for her life for killing her child is amusing. And I certainly wouldn't think that anyone pointing out my attorney's illiteracy would be amusing. Boggles my mind.

Munchies??!! GMAB!!!

  • #756
Ok, all I gleaned from the past five minutes is that there was marijuana in a hamburger in the trunk. WTH?

Before JB said they weren't talking about adipose tissue, and now he's talking about it.

  • #757
I'm fixing to go get the munchies if he does not stop.

  • #758
Were they eating raw hamburgers after smoking the wacky tobaccy?

  • #759
Someone with the munchies???

Were they munching in the trunk while they were decomposing???

  • #760
JB: do you recall finding traces of cannabinol on the paper towels? Couldn't someone have had the munchies?

Dun dun dun! :floorlaugh:
