LKB (with her new face) keeps showing up on my tv trying to spin the Defense's (silly) story. In fact, she's on HLN right now throwing RoyK into the mix. VinnieP has been trying real hard to be impressed by JB, but Vinnie is saying this is a ridiculous defense theory. LKB says all this is a mystery, isn't it, that keeps getting bigger. Dream on LKB.

I can't and won't listen to or watch Vinnie. LKB filed a motion to withdraw, just after the Oakridge depos were taken. I still claim that she was after that database, left once she realized that she wasn't getting it from the experts of Oakridge.

The scrapings for the volatile fatty acids were taken from the carpet side of the tire cover ( refer to pg. 3 and 12 of the link below)... the bi-products of making chloroform were found from taking scrapings from the tire well (page 7 of link)

Great link. Thanks.

Still not clear, though. Let me try to see if we can clear up my confusion together.

What is referred to as the "spare tire" cover, this is the floor of the trunk which lifts up? And under that is where the tire is stored?

What is referred to as the tire well, that is the area where the tire itself is stored?

Sorry...older vehicle here. No idea what these terms mean.

Wonder how many times per day they each want to say "stop talking to me, I'm not listening".

I noted at one point that it seemed like JB was actually trying to absorb what the witness was testifying to and ICA just wouldn't STFU...he actually moved his chair slightly as if to say "uh, DUH I'M WORKING HERE !!" cracked me up for sure (this was during the dog testimony today).

I was in the zone.

The jury never see's this. :maddening:

I must be missing something? All I see is ICA whispering to each Atty in turn...

I was trying to understand why the defense would fight the dogs hitting on the backyard so hard when it goes with their theory of drowning - then I realized if they didn't argue the backyard hits then they couldn't argue against the hits in the Pontiac.

Catch -22 for Baez. He has to fight the dog's correct hits in the backyard, so he can also fight their hit on the trunk, even though 6 witnesses have given solid believable testimony there was the smell of decomp in the trunk. And he himself is saying there was a dead body in the yard. So he is just confusing the jury about what, exactly, he is trying to assert, and what he is trying to disprove.
By the time he gets to put his own case on, he will have very little of the juries confidence, imo.

It wouldnt matter what they used in their pool because she was in all kinds of pools, Chris's ,Toni's ..

The state doesnt care to address it because if they do Baez will make a bigger issue then the tiny possiblity the jury will believe that a swim suit was a source of Chloroform then it is worth .

They still have the bottle of gatoraide.

:waitasec:What swim suit?

You argued that the dog alert didn't count because a body wasn't found there, but a non-exsitent swim suit WOULD count ,even though the defense claims Caylee drowned in the pool that does not use chlorine.
The swim suit ,that we have not seen, may have left behind chlorine .
Is that what you mean by reasonable doubt?

After I cook dinner, the food is gone, eaten, but anyone coming into my home will probably still smell some of it.It's no longer there, only the odor remains.

You may step into an empty elevator and smell perfume ,because 10 minutes before ,someone wearing that perfume was in the elevator.

Our tracking dog follows a scent from shed skin cells that I cannot see. My son is not in every spot along the way. He's far ahead ,but because he WAS THERE AT ONE TIME,our dog can follow that scent until we come upon Sam's stopping place. It works because the dogs are trained.
Almost any dog will sniff at someone who was recently in contact with another animal. Because we don't see that other animal ,does that mean it was not there?

I know how incredibly frustrated this case is making you feel at times.
I can't speak for everyone that has followed this case religiously since July 16 2008.
You comments are a breath of fresh air to me! I got the facts slowly over days and through huge document dumps. Trying to muddle through the the chaos was at times mind boggling.
Now that. is being presented in a more managed fashion, to hear your intelligent take on what has been presented to you makes me confident that justice for Caylee will prevail! Hang in there your views are more appreciated than you can imagine!:twocents:

:great: *PLEASE THANK THIS POST TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION TO Mountain Kat !!!

Thank you so much for this, Gngr~snap. I actually DO worry that my comments and questions are frustrating to WSers who know this case VERY well, so this makes me feel much better about speaking with only the trial evidence to go on. Thanks again.

ETA: Lol..I thanked your post before you added the last part. Not appreciating myself...:floorlaugh:

Mr. Ashton should announce a bomb has been found in the building by a canine unit and that they must evacuate in an orderly fashion ... then sit back and watch JB RUN!!!
I bet he wouldn't question the dogs senses then!

AH hah! See jury even Baez believes canines!!
:floorlaugh:
case over.

This would be akin to the old joke that the prosecutor says something about the victim walking in to the courtroom and everyone looks to the door to see who walks in but defendant doesn't because he knows he killed the victim and the prosecutor rests his case.

When Cindy testified about driving to Universal to see Casey, did she say she no longer believed Casey had a job there? Or just wanted to confront Casey about where Caylee was? If it's the first, what made her suddenly not think she worked there?

IIRC, she went there to confront ICA and when she Couldn't find her, she called her and ICA told her she was in Jacksonville. I always thought this was odd. I used to work at universal and I don't know where CA would have gone to try to find her. The place ICA said she worked was in the back lot and not accessible to guests. It sounded like CA went thru city walk toward the guest entrance - paying to park too

Can anyone point me to the video and timeframe of KC's anger at JB today? When he walked away from her in midsentence? I just can't seem to find it - I've been at work and missed it. Thanks in advance!

Part 11 @ about the 25:37 mark. The camera catches Casey speaking "excitedly" to Jose. Jose smirks/smiles and walks away. He begins talking to Cheney and Casey stares at them during their conversation. HTH!

For lack of anything else to watch I turned on Vinnie this afternoon. Waste, huge waste. He leads off with this "Incredible opportunity for JB to absolutely demolish the Prosecution case" and is about to burst a blood vessel when JB didn't take advantage of the moment.
My ears pricked up, wondering what I had missed...
]Turns out it was the moment at the start of the day when JA apologized and told the court he had handed Dr V the wrong can ( there were two) and had to get him to identify the correct one.
He thought JB should have capitalized on that error to cast doubt on all the forensic evidence from Dr V.
And this guy Vinnie claims to be a Lawyer?

LKB,not LDB. :rocker: Slip o' the finger :seeya:

JB's joke of the day was trying to stand those pictures up in the middle of the floor by magic I guess. DH and I just laughed at how he started the day off again.

I was wondering why she would take the body to that far corner of the yard to wrap it. Then I saw the very large umbrella in the screenshot of where Gerus alerted. Not the striped one that is shown opened, but the closed, very tall one. I believe the body was moved there to afford ICA some privacy while wrapping the body. I see many windows of neighbors that she would need to be shielded from.

See, with this type of evidence it makes the accidental drowning theory completely wrong - wouldn't there have been a scream at the discovery of the body? Some natural freak-out fest that would have drawn the attention of the neighbors?!? If George and ICA really did fight at the discovery of the body, wouldn't it have likely been heard??

Last Friday or Saturday I am almost sure I heard the judge ask the SA how much longer they thought they would be and when they would be through with their evidence. I thought Linda said next Friday. Did anyone else hear that? tia

She said by Friday June 17th possibly 1 or 2 days earlier.

Do any of ya'll remember... wayyy back in the early days.......they determined the body had been in the trunk for, IIRC, 2.6 days?

Had the decomp fluid not been allowed to leak and therefore stain, there probably would never have been a smell in that trunk by the time July rolled around, if her body was indeed removed (dumped) after 2.6 days. The reason it stunk, then stunk worse, and eventually became unbearable, was because of that nasty decomp stain cooking in the Florida heat, and drawing flies which in no time led to maggots hatching

ETA: And the more I think about this, wasn't the 2.6 day window discovered by means of the air samples? Yet....in the testimony regarding the air samples, nothing about the 2.6 days was asked, nor mentioned.....hmmm.

ETA (again): I should say... hasn't been addressed *YET* at least.

Can I just say that that portion of the video is hilarious!!

Look at KC......WTH is she doing "down there"?

funny for so many reasons.PNG

Puts a new spin on the phrase..."She was up my azz." KC needs a refresher on body bubbles.

IIRC,it was the stage of the decomp,at 2.6 days, not that she was in the trunk 2.6 days. She may have been in the trunk all that time but that wasn't the point ,I don't believe.
