I think these searches go a long way to explaining how the SA thinks this is first degree murder and not an accident. Cause of death is not the only way to say something was thought out and planned... Add to this the chloroform in the trunk, the duct tape and I can say there HAS definitely been evidence that this was a planned event even if I do not know how it happened.

For someone like this witness.....I can imagine that not being able to snatch the keyboard and pull up what he needs has to be frustrating.

His mind works differently.......and FASTER than most!

You are so right. I'm not in his league, but even I don't know what I would do without being able to pull up multiple things in multiple windows. And when watching tv, I'm lost without being able to rewind something that I don't understand. (Makes for an embarrassing situation when I am trying to rewind the radio in my car when I miss something...)

Rather insulting to the jurors to say things need to be "dumbed down"....IMO

Sorry, I'm not thinking of jury but any average computer user. No insult intended. It's just that when he explains complicated concepts that most users have never heard of, you lose people.

Agreed, maybe finding an analogy the jurors are familiar with is better!:innocent:

Okay, yes. I'll go edit my post. That sounds better.

I know what he's talking about but this has gotten tedious. I think the visuals in the court help a lot. These search results are important.

his location of the words "self-defense" and "inhalation" are lost in the techie terms.

He needs to raise his voice or change his tone when he gets to the key words. If I were a juror I would not recognize these apart from the regular tech words.

O.M.G.

Now we see where the duct tape comes in, to prevent self defense.

No, self defense search was autogenerated. Kinda like when computer generates "people also like..." kinda of thing. Not hand typed for a search.

Maybe for killing cindy and george?

Or possibly how a murder victim of might try to defend themself, like yanking duct tape off their face and trying not to be dead.

Head injuries!

I wish he would summarize with a sentence like this after each reading of the URL....he needs to say "she clicked on multiple websites for chloroform" a million times in this testimony to get its value.

He's getting there now. :woohoo:

this might read much better than it is heard - if the jury is seeing this paper and sees the words "chloroform" then "self-defense" then "inhalation" etc they may absorb it better than me (can't read the text, its not clear on my screen)....

I want to see Cindy's face during this testimony. "Head Injuries" would freak me out !

RBSD... Got this from google...

RBSD - Reality Based Self Defense (RBSD) is a blanket term for an approach to self-defense training that focuses on practical application. RBSD practitioners emphasize training that directly relates to the most dangerous of all possible situations. .... More »

Too bad it didn't occur to her to Google: Penalty + Murder 1

Usually, the state has graphs, posters to explain what the forensic testimony is (in easy to understand terms). I don't understand why there is none. For instance, a poster showing the times of Casey's searches, what she searched, what she searched before and after, etc.. Maybe this will be brought in later, but I thought it was usually presented with the experts testimony.

Yes - that's what I want !
