thank you for sharing that! I completely agree with Bill S... for those who didn't watch it yet he basically said that the DT has painted themselves into a corner with their OS and not making any inroads into there premises during the State's CIC. He says that now the jury will be sitting there waiting for Baez to "prove his case" and that basically the burden is on the DT (and shouldn't be but the DT put the burden on their own shoulders):rocker:

I don't understand this mix-up at all ?!?!
Because on the 911 call Casey very precisely states how many days she has been missing, and counting back it does not bring us back to the 9th June.

Casey Anthony: "My daughter has been missing for the last 31 days."

This is what trips me up every time - they started with a lie from day one.
Some people say it was an honest mistake, but with the visit to ggp on FD and KC stating '31 days', I find it hard to believe.

Either they were removing themselves from the actual day (June 15/16) or something happened the weekend before that got the downward spiral ball rolling
that caused the circumstances to come together the resulted in the death/murder of Caylee.

I seem to remember that ICA asked Amy if she had a gas can she could borrow, and didn't Amy say she might have one in her storage unit. And they ended up going somewhere and purchasing a gas can? I wonder if the Home Depot video has to do with this.........or is the video from an earlier date, prior to Caylee's death, and is the purchase of ingredients for making chloroform?

third....was the diary of days ever entered into evidence? The blog entry or note or whatever that ICA allegedly wrote that says something like "trust no one, only yourself, everyone lies, everyone dies" etc?

On the Tat artist: he may just say how good a mother Casey was during the visit. So no need. But, personally, I love the tat evidence and expect it to be mentioned in CA.

Yes, there is a home depo video. Exactly what is on it.. noone knows.

He wasn't called. Not sure why, why he wasn't. Note it was never revealed to the jury what ICA got a tattoo of during her "31 days" only that she got a tattoo.

And no, the diary of days has not been revealed to the jury.

There really is a Home Depot video that was entered as a SA evidence item and supplied to the defense but has not been released to the public (to my knowledge)...but I did see it listed in a (clerk's office? or something similar) after the trial started - I don't have a link.

2) not sure - my guess is they just decided not to.
3) nothing presented to date on the diary or the cell pings yet

JB's circus act of an opening statement is not in evidence. The jury is to look at the evidence. Let's see if JB can get something in "evidence" of his theory.

I'd like to see that from the DT too but, under law, they are not required to prove their case. If I were a Juror, it would have to make sense to me though -
not just because they said so.

What do you mean by "unattended deaths"?

I was responding to Soulmagnets post in which that term was used. I assumed it meant a child who dies while nobody is there, like an accidental smothering or falling or choking.

Just remember, 1) it ain't over 'til it's over, and 2) ISP now sits on Death Row, and there was even less forensic evidence used to convict him.

I'm actually surprised @ my own current stance, because for the past week and a half or so (maybe longer) I've been leaning strongly toward premeditation and/or aggravated child abuse resulting in death.

However, after allowing my emotions to subside and after reviewing the evidence that's been presented, I find myself having doubts regarding premeditation or even aggravated child abuse.

I'm grateful to have such a safe environment as WS in which to express my opinions.

As I've posted before, I haven't followed this case until the trial began, so I'm taking in the evidence presented in court & processing it on a daily basis. It's been quite intense.

There were videos from Home Depot taken end of May or early June IIRC as the dates were listed next to each video....

I know it's fairly recent,but why haven't we ever seen this in discovery? Wouldn't the DT have requested it? Am I confused?

The fingerprint expert this morning said she didn't photograph the heart impression, but her supervisor saw it. Further testing rendered it invisible. Could they be flying in the supervisor to corroborate that testimony, and then introduce the heart sticker from the scene and the heart stickers from the house as their final pieces of evidence in the case-in-chief?

As much as I want to believe we'll see a Home Depot video of ICA buying Acetone, I wouldn't bet on that happening.

Not entirely true, in this case, that the Defense has no burden of proof. Baez actually took on the burden of proof because of his opening statement. He made claims that were offered up as 'explanations' for the defendant's behavior. If they want the jury to ignore certain parts of the state's case then the defense has a slight burden of proof.

The Home Depot videos (or their mention of existing) were released in a 4-08-11 Doc dump previously linked on this thread and the dates are:

24. CD-R - Home Depot Video, 5-23-08, 6-29-08, 7-5-08
25. CD-R - Home Depot Video, 5-29-08

Two of them are obviously well before Caylee died, so if there is any evidence of her buying chemicals, masks, duct tape, etc. in Ma it will point to premeditation. The one on 6-29 might be her looking for a gas can and who knows what she was there for the day AL was returning home.

It's odd to me that she would be spending any stolen money on anyone but herself unless it was something important. I mean, it's not like you can buy sunglasses, bras and beer at Home Depot.
