Normally are all the witnesses on the witnesses list supposed to be called as witnesses or many of them just possibilities? I thought I read that Tim Miller, Dominic Casey among others are on the witnesses list and I don't envision them showing them up if they are wrapping it up for the State in a few days.

I'm so "frushtrated"! I feel like we know so much more evidence than the jury will ever know...like the stinky pants in the car that CA washed, the alleged fight the night before, SP saying how KC hated CA more than she loved Caylee, and all the friends that CA warned that KC was a sociopath etc.
Is anyone else "frushtrated" too?
Thx

At the beginning the Dates where all over the place w/ the Anthonys. it was like they knew it had been about a month but beyond that it was a toss up.

SA tried to get CA to clear up the June 9/Father's Day error on the stand, but it could still be confusing to those not obsessed.

I need to correct something I said in a previous post.

In the July 15, 911 call, CA stated that she hadn't seen her granddaughter since June 7th (not June 9th as I mistakenly posted).

From NG CNN transcripts:

CINDY ANTHONY: There`s something wrong. I found my daughter`s car today, and it smells like there`s been a dead body in the damn car! I have not seen her since 7th of June.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1105/31/ng.01.html

This makes it even more perplexing, since June 7, 2008 was a Saturday, and 8 days before Sunday June 15th, Father's Day 2008, which CA described in great detail to the court in her testimony, even talking about a videotape she took of the visit with her father.

Then we have KC talking about June 9th, and now purportedly LA saying they all took his mother's lead about the date??!!

As a mock juror - color me completely confused, not to mention skeptical.

These dates are all over the place, and don't lend any confidence as to the family members' testimonies.

:tyou::tyou: Thanks for posting this !

I remember when CA's "infamous" 9-1-1 calls were played in their ENTIRETY in the Courtroom a couple of weeks ago, I clearly heard CA say June 7th in that 9-1-1 call.

The date was finally cleared up when LE reviewed the video which showed Caylee visiting her Great-Grandfather at the home for Father's Day, June 15th.

Looks good from here Nurse :)
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: That's what's so nice about a "blog":floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Blog...:floorlaugh: sorry but everytime someone calls WS a blog I :floorlaugh:

All possibles.

ITA... AZlawyer has some really good answers on rebuttal on the legal thread for those interested.

During rebuttal the SA can call witnesses to any door that the defense opens and that includes experts (per AZLawyer)..

baez has been opening doors like a doorman during the SA's case so imagine what he will do when his side is up to bat? The rebuttal could be as long as the case in chief LOL...

What the new phrase someone came up with for this case?
Something like...It May Be New... but that doesn't mean... It's Isn't True.
Heck.. I forgot already but I did hear it today..JMHO

BTE.. I mute LKB when I see her on tv talking her trash..

I think it was something like "just because it's new, doesn't mean it's not true," and it was Bill Schaeffer talking.

iirc, it was Yuri Melich that brought it to Cindy's attention that Caylee was at the Nursing Home w/her Dad on the 15th and it was before she testified.

FWIW THIS IS SOOOO HINKY TO ME! CA KNEW SHE HAD CAYLEE ON FATHER'S DAY!
k done yelling. I apologize to those of you who feel this was an honest mistake.

CA is a detail oriented woman. She remembered every intricate detail of ICA'S lies about her imaginary friends, even about the familes, wealth, etc. And at no time in 31 days looked at a Calender to verify what day Father's Day was. Had she gone to Yuri and said I said the wrong day... I'd feel Much better, but Yuri, having to come to her... CA wantes the father's day date ERASED. as did ICA
wonder why... I'll never know.

I was just thinking about the whole 15th day that Cindy had Caylee at the Home to see her Dad. Her mom lived lives just down the road, iirc she walks to see him. It was then that I thought it was brought to Cindy's attention about some missing money. She goes home and confronts Casey and all Heck break loose.

I agree about the remark Cindy made to was it Pasley? about KC being a sociopath was a good ping to show that Cindy believed KC was possibly capable of something insidious. I don't remember her saying it to many others though. Did she say it to many others?

IDK I think being upset that you found your daughter and KNOW that the car smells like death and you don't know where your granddaughter is I probably wouldn't be able to remember my name, age, birthday or the EXACT date of when I saw them last I would be out of my mind

That doesn't explain the dogs hitting in the backyard. I believe that it would take nearly 24 hours for the body to be decomposed enough for the dogs to be able to hit on it laying on the ground. Did GA leave the body in the car for days until it started to smell and decompose in the car? His background would never allow that to happen. If he had been involved in a cover up, it would have been done a lot better. It also doesn't explain why someone would not just come out and say it was a drowning instead of what the defense presented. Nothing adds up except her committing it alone.

Do you have a link for that info? That's not what I was taught, but I don't have the info handy.

I agree with the rest. :)

Some guy named 'Ken' called into one of the shows the other day and assertively stated that KC put the tape on Caylee's face to keep the bugs from going into her body.
That's thinking outside the box!

Really!?!? That's...something...

Remember the night she borrowed the shovel? ICA drove around with poor Caylee in the trunk for at least a week. Then she borrowed a shovel with the plan of burying her under the playhouse. She brought Caylee into the backyard only discover the horrors of horrors, digging a hole is much harder in real life then it seems on TV. At this point she put her back in the trunk. Probably in all of this moving around is when she tore the original bag and leaked fluid in the car and in the backyard, leaving something for the dogs to hit on. It's probably when and why she doubled bagged the child, and where the smelly pants came from.

I can relate to the part I put in bold. I'm also on the west coast. I got up at about 8:45am today, and knowing that the lunch recess was only a few minutes away, thought I'd spend the next hour or so getting caught up with what happened in the morning session, so I'd be ready for the afternoon session.

I was so surprised to learn that court had been dismissed for the day pending the arrival of the state's next witness.

I've spend the last 4 hours getting caught up with the morning session. I thought the FBI witness, Elizabeth Fontaine, was very interesting. She was concise and spoke directly to the jury. The heart-sticker residue is important but it would have been more compelling if the state had shown a picture of heart stickers found in Casey's room. Steve Shaw, who testified to the hair was also interesting.

I'm a bit disappointed in the schedule being abruptly changed with the expectation that the state may finish their case in chief tomorrow or Wednesday, with the defense beginning on Wednesday or Thursday. My grandson's high-school graduation is on Thursday in a city 25 miles from here. We're having a family lunch in a restaurant there at noon, prior to the graduation ceremony, and a barbecue afterward. We expect to be gone all day, so I'll miss court that day. But I know everyone here will be posting all the important information and I'll have a lot to catch up on.

I'm on the west coast too and I've got a routine. I get up around 8:00 AM, get my laptop going and listen to the testimonies on my laptop. Then @ 9:00 AM, I switch over to IS (since we are 3 hours behind), so I get the morning session while they are @ lunch. When IS breaks for lunch, at noon, our time, I switch over to HLN. My DH is going crazy with all of this! Poor guy, he just says she's guilty and he knows nothing about the case! I hope the jury members feel the same. Hope I haven't confused everyone!

according to what I have learned from sars and oriah (two of our verified SAR posters) once someone dies they immediately begin to produce putrecene and cadaverine and the dogs can detect this...

Help! I'm legal and trial ignorant. If the prosecution wraps up their case in the next couple of days, can the defense put on a whole case with witnesses lasting for weeks? Is this expected to happen? If it does, can the state question each of these witnesses which will open the door to more incriminating things against Casey, for example Jesse Grund?

Yep! You seem to have got it right. Also the state can call rebuttal witnesses to counter the things that the defense brings in. Then both sides get their closing arguments and the case goes to the jury.

And then! If CA is convicted it starts all over again for the penalty phase. A mini trial where the jury gets to decide if she should receive the death penalty.

Does anyone know where I can see a transcript of the defense opening statement? Please?

Thank you in advance.

Gonna attempt to answer questions based on what AZLawyer has taught me during the last three years...

can the defense put on a whole case with witnesses lasting for weeks?

The defense can call ANY of the witnesses they have previously listed on their Defense List....but ONLY those listed...and I don't think they have enough to last "weeks"

Is this expected to happen?

I wouldn't expect it to happen....am currently reviewing defense witness list and going to take a guess at who I think Baez is actually going to put on the stand

If it does, can the state question each of these witnesses which will open the door to more incriminating things against Casey, for example Jesse Grund?[/

The State can cross exam (question) each of these defense witnesses...just like baez did....which probably WILL open the door to more incriminating things against Casey since Baez has apparently NOT LEARNED to ask questions he does NOT know the answer to...so yes, he will probably step in a pile of poo

Also keep in mind...once the Defense presents all the witnesses they plan on calling and rests ITS case, the Prosecution will then take another turn and have the opportunity to present REBUTTAL WITNESSES....

(At least I THINK this is right....:seeya:)
