Hi, Is this the general thread for the day or only for sidebars? I am surprised at this fingerprint witness as she doesn't sound very polished. It's like she has memorized everything she is saying!

I'm sure she does have most "everything" memorized. I'd be willing to bet she's 'splained her lab procedures, policies and protocols at least 100 times over the course of her career.

Between depositions, court testimony, training, meetings, seminars, etc., she can probably recite in her sleep most of what she provided today. KWIM?

There were videos from Home Depot taken end of May or early June IIRC as the dates were listed next to each video....

Thanks................I've heard others here mention the Home Depot video and had decided it was something I missed hearing about.

Didn't the media report a couple days ago that ICA's jail penpal Robyn had been moved to the Orange County jail?? Is she there to testify in this case or is she there for some other case???

I seriously doubt they would call a jailhouse snitch to testify as one of the last witnesses.

I am thinking KioMarie Cruz would be a powerful witness for the state. She told LE long before the body was found to look there. She has said she and Casey buried childhood pets there. If I am not mistaken she also said Casey used hearts during the brural.

She also said Casey wasn't bright enough to pull it off by herself. IIRC. Personally, I don't think Casey was some sort of genuis, every shred of evidence points to her. I also don't believe Casey is any sort of "good liar" I think she sucks at it, every one of her lies has come back to bite her!

Here's the thing that bugs me - people talk about George not calling the police that day and that being suspicious because he was LE. But someone correct me if I am wrong....wasn't LE called just a few hours later that same day by Cindy? Was it not the same day??

Correct. And not only that, but George drove the car straight out of the tow yard gate and went right over to where Cindy was waiting. They spoke about it right then. We know that Cindy had been in touch with Casey every day and had spoken to her the previous day. So George knew it was not Casey that had been dead in the car, and I doubt they thought Caylee had been in the trunk. They knew Casey was a liar and a thief, but it never occurred to them she was going to kill their granddaughter, imoo.

She is on both the State and the Defense witness list ....

As far as I am concerned there is no reason for the SA CIC to muddy the waters with an inmate's testimony....DT can always point out her past and legal problems and ask what she got for her testimony etc..etc.. I think the SA has put on a clean lean CIC and we will only hear rebuttals to any lies that the DT wishes to put on in their CIC...The Ball will soon be in their park..

Unless DT does put on KC..they will NOT be able to prove their opening statement whats so ever...especially if anybody testifies they know yadda yadda because KC told them....KC has been proven in spades she is a pathelogical liar...So who knows??

My other thought about Robyn is that I hope they don't have her anywhere near ICA's cell...

And I hope the guards will be very vigilant in preventing any kind of communication between the two of them! :behindbar

Since we know the DT reads here:

ICA will admit, via JB, that GA placed Caylee in the backyard while ICA was hysterical with fear and sadness. GA left for work, telling ICA to get Caylee ready to be put somewhere where she wouldn't be found until they had their stories straight. GA threatened ICA. While GA was gone, ICA put the duct tape on Caylee to make it appear as a kidnapping, doing as GA demanded she do then placed the heart sticker as her goodbye. GA came home and took Caylee.

The pings; well JB will tell the jury, the pings are unreliable. That GA took the pontaic and ICAs cell phone and met up with Roy on Suburban Dr. Roy and GA met at the escort service. Yada, Yada, Yada ....

Yea, that's what happened. JB will be telling the story, while ICA musters up some pokey eye tears, using toilet (1 ply) tissue. :loser: :loser:

That doesn't explain the dogs hitting in the backyard. I believe that it would take nearly 24 hours for the body to be decomposed enough for the dogs to be able to hit on it laying on the ground. Did GA leave the body in the car for days until it started to smell and decompose in the car? His background would never allow that to happen. If he had been involved in a cover up, it would have been done a lot better. It also doesn't explain why someone would not just come out and say it was a drowning instead of what the defense presented. Nothing adds up except her committing it alone.

Okay, so let's think like the prosecution:

1. Start with family, focus on when they were notified our baby was missing
2. Go to friends, describe behavior during those 31 days
3. Go to investigators, show all the lies lies lies
4. Go to the forensics, show all the links links links
5. ?What would you end with? This is where we are.
I would think they would end with: motive (tattoo, diary, photos deleted, MySpace stuff, texts/phone records) or more forensics (plant vegetation, computer)

If they had a video of Casey purchasing items to make chloroform (I wish!) I would think they would have brought that up in their opening statement.

All just MOO :)

ITA. If, during a routine examination of potential evidence, an analyst discovers something unexpected & beyond the scope of their examination, that piece of potential evidence should then be examined by someone else under whose scope it would fall before that unexpected piece of potential evidence is destroyed & irretrievable.

But to proceed - and then later claim "When I looked at it again, it wasn't there. It's not my fault - I was tasked to look for latent finger prints."

Sounds like CYA and sloppy work, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't at least one juror who feels the same way.

We're talking the Death Penalty. If I'm a juror - I want solid, irrefutable work from ALL witnesses whose testimony I'm being asked to consider.

Also, unfortunately, it sounds like our government!
(make it as complicated at possible)

The fingerprint witness sounded like a tape recording or a manual of "how to do something".

I thought I heard the Judge say they are starting in the afternoon tomorrow. Did I hear that correctly? Why would they start late?

LKB is on HLN right now and of course is bringing forth the defense position. She says the state can't prove their case and therefore have resorted to junk science to try to put forth a claim of murder. She says the real science and evidence is not there.....relying on science (Body Farm) that is a research project and has never been in a courtroom before.

the next witness is not able to be there until the afternoon. They are shooting for 1:00 vs 1:30

I'm in total agreement she is not a good liar.. No doubt in my mind she is good at lying incessantly though..JMHO

Oh Yeah, that is the day I wished I had been along for the ride. Casey going to the car at Amscot and it Not being where she left. Telling Tone that Dad would come get it, it was "broke down" Telling Amy it was "out of gas". I would love to know what she was going to do with the car after she put gas in it.

I'm betting ICA knew exactly when that car was towed, or at least drove by a few times a day until it was towed!:twocents:

I was responding to Soulmagnets post in which that term was used. I assumed it meant a child who dies while nobody is there, like an accidental smothering or falling or choking.

Another thing I've thought of (too much thinking!), remember when someone said they heard over the phone, KC yelling to Caylee to GET DOWN, LEAVE THAT ALONE or something like that? Maybe she was using chloroform on Caylee but Caylee was able to grab the jar/bottle/whatever and actually drank it.
I read that chloroform is sweet like antifreeze is.

If KC was giving Caylee chloroform, she must be very, very stupid.
We know she wanted her freedom but, if she did that, she may as well have put a gun to Caylee's head.
I'm just not convinced the SA has proven that KC was chloroforming Caylee.
If there are vids of KC buying ingredients to make chloroform, that'll seal the deal in my mind.

I want to see the prosecution end this case like LDB ended her recross of the computer forensic guy when he said ICA had visited the website for how to make chloroform 84 times! I want a STRONG ending, and right now I'm feeling like they're going out with a whimper instead of a bang. Even Jane Valez Mitchell said earlier today that there were many other things the prosecutors could bring in! I'm afraid they're trying to go so fast that they're going to let Jose out of the trap!

Me too! And I think they will!
