I ask this on the trial thread but not sure if it got answered. Does anyone know if JB and CM will be obligated to represent her in her appeals phase? TIA

Judge Eaton saying how either no one knows how Caylee died. Not true. Obviously SOMEONE new. Occam's Razor: simplest reason/answer/explanation is often the correct one. The simplest answer in this is that ICA killed her child. She was the last one to be seen with her, she has been proven by both sides to be a habitual liar, need I go on?

Wouldn't that be something! :)

Well really, if they aren't going to put ICA on the stand, what CAN they present? Some testimony about CA saying she thought someone was in the back yard because the pool ladder was up? Why even bother if they can't explain to the jury why ICA was celebrating after her daughter "accidentally drown"?

I don't think they are OBLIGATED,she can get someone who is more experience with the appeals process

I bet the defense is scrambling to put together a defense right now. Oh Chit! We didn't get an acquittal! Now what do we do? PANIC!!! LOL

Oh, it's hard to believe they didn't expect this from the beginning. I think they have always known they would have to put on a defense. Even if JB was that naive (and of course, he may be), neither CM nor DCS are.

I can't stay for afternoon court.

I just wanted to share that my son (17) had walked into the room to speak to me the other night while I was watching NG.

He saw Caylee on the screen (she was quite young and in the Anthony's livingroom moving around it was a video) and he stopped and just watched and he said---Isn't she just precious?

Then he stopped immediately and said--was, wasn't she precious. She's dead.

I turned off TV because I can always see NG but he wanted to tell me something and I always stop and listen. I always have.

Just sharing.

My 17 year old Daughter walked into my room, saw Casey on the TV and asked..."Why don't they just kill her already?"

Maybe she was in a bad mood?! :innocent:

If ICA gets the death penalty, how long could the appeal process take? Could it take 20 years, as many do, to finally be carried out?

IMO, ICA is a day-by-day person. It's all about emotions toward others at this moment at this place; about this attention, right here, right now. She does not care about next month or next year or anything like that.

Outwardly, she is putting on a performance of a lifetime, what she does best, sadly. I believe she is intentionally being animated, happy, winking, etc. when the jury is out, performing for the camera just to irritate others. Her performance in front of the jury is self-serving. She has no regard for others it is clear.

But, remember, her life in prison, where she is alone 23 hours a day, is the antithesis of what a party-girl would want. She has already aged 10 years, which is typical in prison. I'm not sure what she has done haunts her during the day, but I bet it does at night. Of course, all my opinion only.

If they present, I think they're going to try to show negligence by Cindy with the pool ladder incident, completely try to destroy RK on the stand, and continue with the subtle and not so subtle remarks about George.

They don't have to prove any of it. They just have to provide reasonable doubt.

All of that said, I think they're going to hang themselves and ICA will be found guilty.

I'm sure this is the last thing her DT wants but I kinda get the feeling that KC wants to testify. She wants to be at the center of attention. And she thinks shes a lawyer now. LOL

Thank you. I think they are going to cut and run so fast. JB can't wait to start his new gig as a TH on a cable channel :floorlaugh: and CM is ready to retire.

I just watched the post trial analysis on wesh live and Richard Hornsby said that the defense cannot put Robyn Adams on the stand because what Casey said is heresay and the letters are some sort of prejudicial heresay about the abuse... he said the only way that DT can get the "abuse" (alleged) in is if they put ICA on the stand.

Hornsby further stated that if they put the grief counselor on the stand and she claims any sort of mental stuff that the SA can put the two psychologists on the stand (the ones the DT let go as they found nothing wrong with ICA) as rebuttal.. says putting the grief conselor is not a good idea for the DT and the SA can blow her testimony out of the water on rebuttal!

What an emotionally exhausting morning. I think I need a cat nap.

Everyone did a great job this morning. Thank you posters for being within TOS - thank you mods for making what you do look easy. I know there is a tremendous amount of work you have all done to keep this forum running as smoothly as you have. THANK YOU for all of your hard work! :blowkiss:

At this point, I'm really begining to wonder if the defense will even present their case.

I agree - the talking heads have been discussing this also. If not for JB's crazy OS - they would have been able to say they did not need to - but now they are backed into a corner. Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I read somewhere the avg time is 10-12 yrs

My impression was she was making a huge effort to show she expected it, and it therefore didn't matter, IOW didn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing it upset her.

Norman Bates, as Mother at the end of Psycho
I'll just sit here and be quiet, just in case they do... suspect me. They're probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of a person I am. I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching... they'll see. They'll see and they'll know, and they'll say, "Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly...”

Did Judge Eaton just say he doesn't necessarily think putting duct tape on a child is child abuse?

So we know for sure Casey had the "Big Trouble" shirt since March when that photograph was taken at Ricardo's. Where the hell was she keeping it so Cindy did not see it for minimum, 3 months?
We all know Cindy was all over Caylee's room (and probably Casey's when she wasn't home). Cindy testified she never saw the shirt and Casey sat there motionless. She did not shake her head when Cindy said the first time she saw the shirt was in her deposition.

Where was Casey hiding that shirt?

Very interesting question.....wonder if that is what ICA meant when she made the comment to Rob "they haven't even found her clothes yet". I don't know. Don't mind me. My mind just continues to wonder about this whole case.

I have just the thing to help you with that CAT nap. Want me to send them to you? ;)

Someone posted this link earlier YouTube - ‪Cheney Mason....really?‬‏ - CM spouting off when Caylee's remains were found before he was on the Defense team. It's pretty priceless that he says on the tape that JB and the Anthony's going on this show and that show talking to everyone is going to look bad when it goes to trial. Uh, CM, you went from show to show talking too. Should've taken you own advice, eh?

ETA: He actually says "It establishes that they have no credibility whatsoever."

If he's lumping himself in with them now, I could not agree more.

:clown::jester::footinmouth: Love CM's quote " ...a circus trial." :clown::jester::footinmouth:
