I'll go by what Bill S. stated after court ended. He thought today was fairly uneventful. Not what you'd expect if you were starting your CIC (if you were the defense), especially, IMO, after a powerful presentation of evidence by the State. The jury wants to hear him prove his OS. I don't see where he is winning anything. The State admitted to the lab person's dna being on the tape. That was most of the day. IIRC, the State didn't make much of a reference to the puffy heart. Jose called more attention to it than was necessary.
Yep.

Baez got what he wanted out of the "relationship" though, so I don't think he cares about KC's fate at all, he's just going through the motions.

I respect alternative viewpoints, but I'd like to know what trial they watched to think Baez was affective.

Perhaps I missed something.

This is so sad to think about, you guys, but it's just past 4:30 EST. Three years ago today, almost to the minute, ICA's phone activity stopped for those two ominous hours.

:grouphug: for Caylee.

:(

....and maybe that 4.30pm time has not escaped the court either.

Caylee is definately right there under HHJBP's robes.

I just heard Jean Cesarez talking about the possibility that Caylee's father is alive on hnl. I didn't hear the trial today...just started listening. Why is Jean Cesarez talking about Caylee's father now?

JC was asked that question by the CNN host, Rochelle [?]. A viewer asked the question about the paternity so JC was just responding to that.

We saw a side bar as JA was at cross exam, jury comes back in and Jose...

Bill: it was confusing at first. But Mr. Baez forget to ask a line of questions on his direct Baez realized he didn't ask the questions. HHJP let Jose interrupt JA and ask questions. The biggest one is when Jose asked about the blanket and enlists a whole line of answers and had to admit to the jury he made a mistake.

(they play the "embarassing" moment) -how it was reported.

Wow, you can hear the embarassment in his voice, how much to his cred with the jury.

BS: even though it was a mistake it undermines the jury's perception you should speak with authority and when you say something you can take it to the bank.

BS: we have to look at the end of the day, did the defense raise a reasonable doubt? They did not to the evidence nor the first degree murder, the STATE has still proven its case. The defense is floundering, they have problems, everyone is waiting for them to start proving their case and the things Mr. B has claimed and he better hurry he is losing this jury.

They do not seem to be pursuring their opening statements.

There are breaks in the feed, but it comes back. :)

I think the DT LAST witness will be GA. They will try their dangest to outrage GA. They want the impression of the molestation fresh on the jurors minds.

when will these cell records come in??? on rebuttal??? poor caylee.... *sigh*

If I did my job as well as JB did his today, I'd be fired and have to go into a whole new line of business. See ya'll tomorrow...

Those Floridian courts treat themselves like queens (or kings). Hey hardly work a 4 hour day but get full time wages at the expense of other poor people that have given up 2 months of their lives for their system. I would be up in arms if I lived in Florida. They should be lucky to get 1 hour for lunch. Who gets 90 minute lunches but State and Public workers?? No wonder the states are all broke.

You know, I have watched many a trial and Florida is no where near the worst for wasting time...At least they work partial Saturdays..
Anyway, the top of my list for time wasting is California..Now those trials take twice as long due to their long lunches, short days, long breaks..LOL I remember someone actually calculated just how many hours a day they spent taking testimony...We went whoa..Like 3.5 hours or sumptin like that..

I am truly amazed this case against KC tho so complicated, many dead ends, and misleadings by ICA...Both JA and LDB kept it clean and simple..nothing extraneous to confuse the bottomline....Can you imagine all their evidence condensed to just 2 weeks of testimony??..I was so impressed!!

Sorry..Guess I can just say..Fla. is far more efficient than other states..
Also another state>>> I like TN courts, they allow juror questions, and I do recall some Sat. mornings too!!..

He made a big deal about 3 things:

The heart sticker, the shovel, and Lee tested for paternity. And, imo, they are all dead ends and red herrings.

People were kicked out?

I'm thinking one of more of the jurors was nodding off at the end. Merciful and smart, (before JB can pull out his 2nd mistrial motion this week)

Yes, they took people out of the balcony who were sleeping. It was tweeted out by the media members.

4 civilians have been evicted from the balcony today for sleeping.
InSession

Deputy just kicked out a sleeping spectator.

Can't watch anymore....just drinking...have progressed from white to red....:okay::okay:

Did JB open the door to the gatorade bottle being entered into evidence by showing the pictures of all the trash?

ynotdivein I will be praying that our sweet, precious Caylee did not suffer on this day three years ago. :(:(:( It breaks my heart and gives me goosebumps to even think of those "two ominous hours".
bbm

but she did... and this is just so hard to say...

she did suffer 3 years ago today...

and that is why we are all here... It gives me goosebumps too. I hope that all this bloviating testimony does not take away from how this little girl suffered and died. She was murdered.

Oh man...I keep putting my leg over to the right and the room is spinning. I can't drink and drive my way to the toilet. I can however completely understand the defense team strategy in this state. SCREWED!
UGH!!!!!

You and me baby...ride that horse!

From the trial thread

Wow. It sounds like there should be a restraining order. How is showing up with a camera crew helping anyone besides his ego. No matter what you think of the Anthony's they do have the right to not have be harrased by a pissed off bounty hunter with an axe to grind on their front lawn.

What exactly will his team of investigators DO? I understand he bailed Casey out in July of 08 believing her story about Zanny, he took the money back(?) and broke with the Anthony's in September saying they all were lying to him and not cooperating. So, axe to grind.

ITA. Hit him with a restraining order, and pray he fades away.

Regarding Judge OE, I actually sent him an email a few weeks back because I needed to correct him on a pretty significant fact! Still can't believe I did that. I'm sticking with Bill Shaeffer.

But if he has nothing he can't bring something.

All I was saying was, he says he has something to make it all make sense so whatever it is he should get on with it.

I think the DT LAST witness will be GA. They will try their dangest to outrage GA. They want the impression of the molestation fresh on the jurors minds.

Do they even have to continue with that defense? I can't see them pursuing it unless Casey takes the stand. It doesn't even seem like they're providing a defense now - they're just trying to put reasonable doubt in the jurors minds.

IMO they won't bring it up again because they don't even believe it and have no way of proving it. Otherwise they would be hammering that point home every chance they got. I may be wrong - but I think they are going to abandon it and hope the jury doesn't remember their opening statement. If they don't bring it up again neither can the SA right?
