Just think of how "over" this case would have been if there wasn't testimony that could be "bought" (for whatever reason: fame, recognition, whatever). I'm really not putting this all on Dr. Huntington. I think this entire case has gone on for too long for the wrong reasons.
My father was a criminal defense attorney and I once asked him how he could defend someone who was "obviously" guilty. He told me that if someone's guilt is that obvious then the prosecution knows it too and the best thing he could do for his client would be to negotiate the best sentence possible. IMVHO...this is what should have been done 3 years ago when even some of us might have believed it was an accident.

Hi all, just checking in. Had to work today so I missed alot. BUT, dh had the day off then late this aft. he went to his brother's house. So I get home and have time to relax and turn on the TV, low and behold it was on HLN!!!! He was watching the trial most of the day lol.

Oh and speaking of that whole 'mock trial' thingy....that Gabriel character was on one of the TH shows last night.....billed himself out as THE JURY CONSULTANT FOR THE CASEY ANTHONY CASE. I thought there was a problem with that? Him being with who was it? ABC and all? Some kind of conflict of interest?

I wonder if the Anthony's picked up on TH's testimony from this morning that decomp fluids will kill grass and that grass will not grow in an area where decomp fluids have been spilled.

Surely, that statement had to resonate with not only the Anthony's, but also with the jury--especially after Cindy made such a to-do about grass no longer growing in certain areas of their backyard, but she had no explanation as to why the grass would not grow.

I guess that now she knows why.

Boy I picked up on that right away. I'm betting the Anthony's didn't miss it either. Hoping the jury got it.

Inconsistent. He lies. I watched this "man" lie, again and again and again today. It is not snark. That is truth. He lied. :yes: He changed his "opinion" several times during his testimony today. If that is the best the defense has got, bring on the rest. IMHO.

I sensed a very similar "energy" in this witness and ICA.

I agree 100 percent he is a liar and Ashton proved that.

I hope he takes his name of the list of available experts to testify.

I don't know - but I think he is going to take charge of his courtroom. No voices raised, long drawn out and repeated questioning of the same thing - for starters. The jurors are getting bored and turned off by unprofessional behavior.

JA, bless him, needs to tone it down and JB needs to lay off the trial by text.

It REALLY did not help that Baez kept stumbling over his words and forgot what he wanted to say.

I am so glad that JA pointed out to the jury and got T. Huntington to agree that there was NO FOOD products in that garbage or trash..It completely debunks the Defenses assertions..No food..No decomp odour (odor for my US buds)..showing with the actual evidence that there was no Salami..but paper was just the icing on the cake :floorlaugh:

BTW..Didnt Dr. Vass say very clearly that these particular bugs are attracted to NON-PROCESSED meats?? Then went on to suggest that scenerio..2 pounds of raw hamburger and a bag over their head..something like that..That was really humourous!!

I really dont think poor Dr. Huntington discredited his mentor nor Dr. Vass with his "Assumptions" ..He assessed the trash by pictures (and what Baez told him) and very clearly JA pointed out his viewpoint was mistaken..JA also pointed out his test no where near came close to what happened to Caylee:great:

Quite the contrary. JB proved alot with this witness. He proved that there was NO FOOD in this trash bag. Therefore, no SMELL of rotting meat or pizza. If the trash don't smell, KC better get use to that cell....:floorlaugh:

No food in the car means the odor came from something (or sadly, someone) else.

There are those who'll defend Dr.TH's inability to pronounce things as being outside his area of expertise. However, he was portrayed (by himself and by JB) as an expert in a variety of disciplines - and was testifying under oath in a manner, as he knew, that would determine how justice for a murdered child was meted out by law

So whilst excuses might be attempted on Dr. TH's behalf by some - what the jury will remember (because they will identify) was the 'expert's' inability to pronounce the names of 'scientific stuff ' (which many jury members may well be conversant with and well able to pronounce)

Dr. TH might have believed he was displaying 'boyish' charm as he smiled, chuckled and stumbled over the 'big words' -- but in the eyes of the jury and general observers, he simply appeared INexpert, unqualified and a quack, imo, quite apart from the fact he was exposed by the State as an arrogant pretender -- who demonstrated conceit and preparedness to testify in areas in which he wasn't qualified, knowing as he did so that he was influencing a trial seeking justice for a child's murder

Boast and pretend at work, at home, online, by all means. But anyone who demonstrates willingness to do so in a court of law should be charged with attempt to pervert the course of justice, imo

According to an earlier tweet, Ashton's right on the money, because the jury pays more attention when he's bombastic. So, IMO, it's clear he's doing it for affect; he's a veteran prosecutor and knows what he's doing.

Does anyone know what was up with the tweet about the two jurors putting a coat over the monitor? That was during the picture of the stain in the trunk. Sure seems like some people have no problems thinking that it's decomp.

IMO, if jurors are covering their monitors at any time during the presentation of evidence, they have no business serving in this trial.

If the above quoted allegations are true, I hope HHJP is informed, so that he can inquire & determine the appropriate action.

You know what - it was worth to sit most of the day watching Baez and Huntington to see Jeff Ashton get up there and in under a minute wipe that stupid smirk off Baez's face and to finally see some fear on ICA's. More than worth it.

Bumping this, seeing as I'm unable to 'Thank' you at least ten times in succession. I'd go even further than you and state my belief that he needs to be made accountable for his performance today. It is not acceptable to say merely that he's young and inexperienced. In fact, he demonstrated that he was prepared and in fact DID testify in areas in which he had no expertise or credentials -- knowing full well that he was under oath and that his testimony as claimed 'expert' would directly influence a jury which in turn is required to make a judgement in a murder trial ... the murder of a helpless child .. as well as influencing the fate of the accused

I believe this individual should be charged on a variety of offences
