I certainly hope so, everything Dr Spitz said was completely opposite of Dr G, not to mention him accusing her of skull tampering.

IIRC, the jury saw the photos from the crime scene, before and after picking up Caylee's skull. They know better.

Let me preface this with; I am in no way favoring the defense, y'all should know that by now. BUT.
He stated that Dr G botched the autopsy and the body was moved. remember, it only takes one......juror to run with this.

uhm...ok, but remember whose mouth that came out of - it wasn't god's, though that's what he'd have you believe...

So was this witness implying that the skull was under water in one place, and the duct tape was also under water, in another place, and then "someone" picked up both, took them to another place put the tape on the skull and then put both back in the place they were found?????

Only about his own credibility. IMO

Absolutely agree - the jury will disregard everything Spitz said - he was obviously just babbling - could not even "remember" the interviews he has given in Orlando this week. Could not recall where it is written or determined that the skull is always opened at autopsy. Did not wear gloves when he examined Caylee's remains. His hands shake so badly he had difficulty fitting the mandible back onto the rest of the skull.

He knew nothing about the history of the case, could not describe the dump site even though he later remembered he visited it. It just went on and on - and a good part of the time his denials were just plain silly even to the non professional like me.

Waste of time and the destruction of a person who earned a long pedigree in forensic examinations. Over. Ruined.

My head is pounding, so I am stepping away for the day. Carry on! See you Monday morning...oh, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

Baez has got to know he really messed up when he got this punch of sympathy from Casey as she was leaving. Sympathy from Casey!! :loser:
Or maybe not -- he still has that cocky smile on his face.

I'm so grateful that you got a photo of that, STEADFAST, as I couldn't believe my eyes when it happened. I thought I was seeing it wrong.

Thanks!

I disagree.... what he planted were ridiculous theories of someone picking up a completely skeletonized skull out in the woods, pulling special brand duct tape out of their pocket, picking up the seperated mandible, duct taping it all together, then leaving it back there for when it was found.

I guess WS testimony was preparing the way for the defense examination of Igor, oops I mean Kronk

Unbelievable - if we thought yesterday cross was bad - this cross was beyond the pale - I felt like I was at the Mad Hatter's tea party.

My head still hurts! It was so bad I don't have room to be happy for the Prosecution yet.
I don't know which image was worse...someone walking around with Caylee's skull...or the ME staging the picture of Caylee's hair on the skull.

I understand why the judge said he didn't want to hurt ICA because her lawyer is a lying, sneaky, ***** who has no problem disobeying court orders but, he should stick it to JB in a big way. Make him pay a huge fine. He will continue to do it unless he gets penalized.

IMO

Ye gods. I'm exhaused. Cant hardly read or talk right now. Gonna go lie down in a dark room with a wet rag over my face for a bit. Catch up on sidebar then. Can hardly wait to see what everyone has to say.

Was that a strange Twilight Zone episode that the cable slipped in or what?

Who thinks the jury will believe that the investigators manipulated Caylee's hair in some way? I'm very pro LE so maybe I'm in the dark thinking that Dr. S's statement about that isn't going to fly with the jurors.

BS talking about that now. Said a couple of jurrors laughed when Dr.S said that.

Did anyone take a tally of the things Dr.S could not remember?

1. Doing interviews
2. If he broke the skull
3. Caylee's name

the biggest one of all "the details of the case that made him come to the conclusion the manner of death was not determined" - that was huge after Dr. G listed all of the reasons she came to hers.

At that point he should have been escorted out.

Too many "experts" use the idea of everyone has an opinion to get away with lies. Lies are not an opinion. They are lies. You can have an opinion on the facts about something but not an opinion on a lie.

I feel bad for the jury when they leave on Saturday as it must seem like a long time until Monday morning when you are sequestered. I hope they are all getting visits from family and friends and that they are getting to do things to pass the time enjoyably.

Dr. Spitz's famous words. The skull didn't walk there. It was manipulated. Someone put it on brown paper to take a pic. He is implying someone in the ME office tampered with evidence. Yet, this doctor doesn't remember he was the one that cracked and broke Caylee's skull.

Give me a break. (oh, I don't mean to my skull)

I guess he forgot about the pics the ME's office took at the site and when they first took the skull back to the office, when it was still sitting in the cradle of dirt they dug around it so they could remove the skull intact.

I'm guessing this was a horrible way for this old man to retire....... JB should be held in contempt for doing this to a world-renound forensic expert.

Thank goodness he was allowed to walk out with his head held high.

This particular forensic expert is well known for selling his opinions and for his love of high-profile cases. He is not pathetic at all, but he knows how to try to get a jury's sympathy, if that seems the best way to handle the situation.
