I mentioned this before Broderick but will again because it may have gotten lost in the quick flow of posting this morning.

I was on full rant yesterday because I wanted to see how the major news sites reported the destruction of Dr. Spitz yesterday. So went through CNN, Fox, etc and all had almost an identical article that described some of Dr. Spitz's testimony, but nothing about JA's cross - nothing at all.

So as I was raving to myself about who wrote this garbage, I looked a little further and saw it was from Associated Press, which all sites used. Then at the bottom of the article, in little print was the note of three names who wrote the piece - all from In Sessions - in other words HLN. So there you have it - no reporting and complete rubbish. :banghead:

Thanks for going the extra step. It is rubbish, and IS should be ashamed as should the AP for this drivel. There are so many people in this country trying to follow this case on limited time only to have NO clue what is actually happening in the hearings. Maddening.

I am seriously wondering if Jeff Ashton goes home everyday and either beats his head against a wall or takes a hammer and smashes something with it. I would have to do one of those things to deal with Baez everyday. Or drink wine and try to forget about it. I sure hope he's watching his blood pressure these days. I really feel for him. Baez has to be the worst lawyer on the planet, and I can't imagine putting up with him for almost three years and then putting up with him daily in a trial. I would lose my mind completely!

----------------
My thoughts exactly. IF we were allowed I'd send a bottle to JA. and LDB..My God they deserve it!!!!!!:banghead:

Whomever the 3rd witness was that was supposed to be "30 minutes" away, which, apparently was just another lie. But why not keep the iron pressing on the DT to produce someone, anyone at that point?
I'm wondering if that invisible 3rd witness might have been an expert of some kind that didn't make a report like these others that Baez tried to slip in... It sure looks like Baez & company are doing their damndest to "ambush" the prosecution....

If these are so called 'expert witnesses' wouldn't they know they had to submit a report. I don't get it. jmo

Perhaps I missed it but I don't recall seeing any witness being called into court this morning and taking the stand.:waitasec:

There were tweets regarding Dr. Boch in the hallway and JC on IS said an "eldery" lady was sitting in the witness area. Not sure if they had her wait there, if she was called or what-

Here's the tweet:

#TonyPipitone says he saw Dr Bach outside after court recessed.????

I believe HH will take this beyond the Bar. He is deferring dealing with it now because they are in the middle of a DP case, but JB is on notice,he is staring down the barrel of HHJP's gun.
HH will not want to see JB represent another person in the State of FL.IMO
Of course not. Baez' antics are costing the state too much money. Those jurors must be dying to get out of there.

"Vasco Thompson is a 'non-party' in Casey case

Also filed today was a motion to quash the subpoena for Vasco Thompson, the man the defense listed as a late witness last week.

The motion, filed by attorney Matt T. Morgan, says Thompson is set to appear before Perry at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It goes on to say Thompson "has no personal knowledge of facts relating to the alleged killing of Caylee Marie Anthony."

The motion calls Thompson's subpoena for trial "a misguided attempt to draw attention and publicity to an already highly publicized matter."

Thompson "believes that the defendant's subpoena for trial is only a delay, to create confusion in the evidence and a ploy to create an illusion of reasonable doubt," Morgan's motion says.

It adds that the subpoena "was filed in bad faith against the non-party Vasco Thompson" and creates an undue burden on him.

The motion asks Perry to quash the subpoena and enter "a protective order prohibiting the defendant, Casey Anthony, from further contact with" Thompson."

Man oh man oh man, that man is just beyond belief. The total disregard and lack of respect for the process, the jurors, the court and his team. Before this ever went to trial we wondered how any defense could be made in light of the overwhelming evidence against his client. I'm sure Baez had to beat the bushes to try and find experts. One has to wonder if the ones he has found have been following the circus and decided that they want no part of it. Also wonder if after seeing Jeff Ashton in action, they figure there is no way they want to subject themselves to that. Sooo ..... perhaps what minimal list of experts he had are jumping off the Titanic.

Also wonder if Casey dudded herself up today because she was supposed to be called?
No, I think she is working CM...

Great information! Anything about the motion regarding the release of juror names?

I don't know what happened in court today, but I don't think it was over the witness.

The judge called in his intern, then the court reporter and the deputy. I am thinking/guessing that he was looking at them as witnesses over something.

So I don't know what happened in there, but I am thinking it was something major.

I have to disagree. There must be two countries called Canada or maybe each province is different, because I’m also a Canadian and Legal Aid does provide some of the worst of the worst (rapists, murderers and child abusers),with some of the best and most expensive defense attorneys around and often they get off because of the choice in attorneys they are allowed to make. In the Canada I live in, Canadians pay the legal aid bill. They do not have a cap on the amount, unlike divorce court.

As far as Florida goes, it is an open system with respect to media. I don't believe the court is holding the trial for the media, as you say, but rather to attempt to determine who killed this little one and in order to ensure it goes forward without a mistrial being called, the judge errs on the side of caution.

All systems have flaws and it is fair to recognize them, however, I highly doubt you really want to stand trial in Israel, especially if you are innocent. :waitasec:

I agree our system is the same to a huge extent. I never said anything about our sick legal system. All our lawyers are forced to take on a certain number of "free" non-paid legal aid cases to keep their licences. And yes we pay for it all. But otherwise, I disagree. I would much rather stand in front of a judge and jury in Israel then with a "free" court appointed lawyer here.

Matter of taste. I don't find it creepy. It made me smile. Was unexpected but cute. After all, many illustrations, avatars, etc. show angels hovering above individuals and we accept that because we're many of us accustomed from childhood onwards to seeing and accepting such images

No. Not creepy at all, imo. In fact, I like it. Like it so much, I'd like KC to see it :giggle:

I was just going to say the same thing....my first thought was KC seeing it...but then I realized what we would see....no reaction at all...:banghead:

Just looked at wftv.com and noticed there was hardly any court session today. What happened?

I had to laugh, first time she came out only one button was undone, second time she came out two buttons were undone - I was thinking if there are many more breaks she'll run out of buttons LOL
Totally inappropriate. I can imagine her primping in front of a mirror, nothing in her head but me, me, me. :loser:

I vote creepy.

So do I. Indeed, it is a matter of taste, and I, personally, find photoshopping pictures of dead children distasteful. I understand the sentiment and know a lot of people like that sort of thing, but the visual is just . . . I'll stop there. JMO.

Do I understand correctly that the state didn't depose the witness from Saturday? I thought the deposition was set for Saturday afternoon; what happened?

They did indeed depose him - just got the transcript this morning and want to review.
