I saw the end of this this morning. Watch Dan Abrams after NG says something about JB at about 4:29. You can tell he agrees with her but is afraid to...
:floorlaugh:

NG: Conventional wisdom tells you never, ever, ever, ever put your client on the stand in a criminal defense case....which means Baez will probably do it.

HAHA! Even the off camera people were laughing.

From photos I've seen of the backyard, there was no access to the woods but that's a good question. Personally, I think she drove there, took Caylee out of the car and dumped her. It would've been too risky to walk around with the garbage bag. I hated typing "garbage" :(

Thank you.. I would think it would be rather risky to drive up to that location on Surburban, get out of the car, open the truck and take a black bag into those woods too...IS there heavy traffic on that road, anyone know?

Well, in fairness (because I am not necessarily criticizing the police here), I don't see that they had an easy way to go. The only thing they could have immediately charged her with was lying to LE. They did not know whether Caylee was actually missing. Yes, ICA had told them about the "kidnapping", but it was obvious that she had lied about all of that. So, was it true? How could they know, when the child's mother wouldn't tell them? She was quite calm. Was she hiding Caylee from her mom? Again, they couldn't know.

The charge was the problem. As soon as they found out about the checks, they had something concrete to hold her on.

What was the penalty she got for the check fraud? Just curious.

Good question. Maybe she could and knew how to from childhood....

SMK, this is not directed at you in any way. But IMO when you look at the fence around the Anthony's yard, I do not think it's reasonable to think that ICA hoisted Caylee's inert body over that fence and then carried her the "back way" all the way down some kind of trail through gosh knows what kind of brush and muck to the final dump site.

Caylee was found 20 feet off Suburban. She was right by a trail that led into the swamp from Suburban. IMO, ICA pulled over at some point, popped the trunk, carried the bags containing her daughter Caylee down the trail until she got "creeped out," and then tossed precious Caylee into the swamp.

And IMO then she wiped off her hands, stepped away from that nasty trash dump, got back in her car, and carried on with her Bella Vita.

:cow:

Had to laugh at Welch and Moss. Not even close. LOL

I love CSI Welch...reminds me of everybody's best friend in any movie/tv show (i.e Judy Greer)
She's adorable, professional, cute, loyal, well-spoken, enthusiastic, meticulous and smart. Just love her.

I do not think heavy traffic...it is a dead end road...elementary school on down on opposite side...

No heavy traffic ...1 minute and 10 second drive from Casey's house. Casey is LAZY....

I was thinking maybe she went the back way....behind the houses. Was there a gate on the back of their fence and was there a house behind their house?

I, too, was worried that she was deliberately keeping Caylee from her mom. I wondered if the hard tact YM was taking was to scare her into admitting just that. He was giving some pretty damning scenarios...pretty scary stuff...how easy it would be for her to dispute that and confess that it was a much simpler and easier to explain domestic dispute. Casey, however, remained undaunted and stuck hard and fast to the kidnapping story. I think that probably did stun and confuse him. Let's remember, we have Casey telling one officer that it was a domestic issue...and we have Cindy demanding her daughter be arrested for something because, IMO, Casey wasn't telling her where Caylee was. So we have her family even believing this was a deliberate act of concealing Caylee from them. Remember the first phone call when Casey stated she was arrested on a whim? Cindy specifically says that Casey isn't telling anyone where Caylee was. I don't believe anyone at that moment in time (July 16, 2008) believed Caylee was dead.
JMHO

Don't know where to put my question so I'll just drop it here in hopes someone can answer it.
Went on a "search" but being as the subject is duct tape, well....... :)

George has said under oath that when he got the gas cans back from Casey, he noticed the vent cap was missing so he used a piece of duct tape to put over the vent hole.

Cindy, second time she got on the stand, trial, said that George told her he got the gas cans back from LE and the vent cap was missing so he applied a piece of duct tape to the can to cover the vent hole.

Not that it's a big deal in the grand scheme of things but is this yet another lie coming from one of the Anthonys or is it just confusion because there was so much going on during that time?

Could this be another drop in an already full glass regarding George's x-wife and her comment about George having a not-so-truthful streak? Could that streak possibly be inherited by one or more offspring?

Read your answers....didn't read them before I posted. I apologize for repeating. Thanks!

IMO No way did Casey WALK a quarter mile lugging Caylee. That would have been work. She's just too LAZY.

We do know whatever George said on the stand was consistant with his Grand Jury testimony...per JP

No, no gate, and no, no house just behind theirs.

The remains were found IIRC 15 houses down from the Anthony's.

So either ICA all by herself hoisted the "sleeping" weight of her deceased child up and over a 5' fence (without causing any fractures to the bones that were eventually found, and without leaving any decomp sig anywhere in the backyard other than in front of Caylee's play area), then either jumped the fence herself or ran down to the end of the block then waded through the overgrowth to fetch the bag and drag it back to the final resting site about 20 feet from the roadside on Suburban, or...

Oh lordy. I forgot to weave RK into all this. Let me reconsider.

This is one argument I can kind of see Baez being correct on or at least 50/50 on, probably to the dismay of many but let me explain.

His point was that he had prepared for the releases that SA intended to use during the trial, as many here have poured over when they were originally released. If there are additional email messages, texts, chat scripts, and searches previously unreleased before trial that the SA now wants to bring forward based on a rebuttal he may very well be unprepared. The state had some experts that were able to extract much of this from deleted memory on the disk drive and history files that probably only an expert will be able to find and piece together. If he hadn't done that and is relying on what was previously released in discovery on the computer he now has a huge challenge going back to the hard drive... The several 100's of thousands he has received on the case is not that much when you look back on three years and all the people involved - yes much is pro-bono I suppose but still it is not that much money.

BUT !!!!

ONE thing I noticed today between 8:30 and 9:00 was JA and LB giving what appeared to be a binder to Baez. He paged through it and they all chatted for awhile. My guess is that the SA provided all the relevant chats and messages and emails in that binder from the day(s) in question. He seemed pleased to receive it and my other guess is that they provided him the information so that he could prepare and they could avoid appeal.

Feel free to correct me or give me my 100 lashes now........

Thank you. Now I'd like to know what caused her bug-eyed responses and half-covered smirks.

One thing that infuriates me: JB's ludicrous opening statement gets as much press as the 3 years of discovery. As if his statements are as much true as the real evidence. I press mute everytime.
