Cindy hasn't worked as a floor nurse in many many years...close to when she got out of school. Her skills would be lacking at this point. She has been working in an office and not involved directly with patient care.

Right and that above ground pool would have been down immediately if that was what happened. I know people who have had people drown in there very expensive in ground pools and they are filled with dirt very fast.

My baby cousin died by drowning in an in-ground pool. It was filled within a month of his passing. They ended up moving out of the house anyways because every time my aunt looked out the window she could still see the pool.

Oh and wanted to let everyone know that a fellow poster on a different website that has also followed this mess was at the pool at the Atlantis Resort and stood next to George and a couple of men with accents at the towel hut.

I told her she should start carrying her camera with her incase she runs into them again. It'd be big money especially if KC is there with them.

"In other words, if a loved one passes away because of another's recklessness or negligence on July 1, 2005, you must file a Florida wrongful death claim by July 1, 2007. Failing to file a claim within Florida's wrongful death statute of limitations may prohibit the deceased's family from ever recovering compensation for your loved one's death.

Almost no circumstances allow an individual to pursue a wrongful death claim in Florida after the statute of limitations has expired. Therefore, it is important to file your claim within two years of the death to ensure you are able to seek wrongful death damages."

quote from john morgans website.

Looks like an advertisement with a lot of lawyerezze trying to drum up business.

And IMHO :cow: :twocents: that is a GOOD thing.

I never flip flopped on Cindy and George. I disliked them from the beginning, and felt NO pity whatsoever when they "cried" on the stand. If anything, I like them less with each passing day and every move they make. Grieving grandparents, indeed; I like KC better than I like them.

I TOTALLY agree with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The more I saw of them, read about them, and saw their antics, the more they gave me the heebie jeebies. They are very scary, IMO. Talk about being a sociopath.......................the nut does not fall far from the tree. In looking at the overall picture, it seems to me that once Caylee was born into that family she never had a chance.

well, i am off to the verified lawyers thread to ask.

If you would please ask if the time limit has anything to do with when you learn there was a wrongful death.

Usually the law makes sense and statue of limitations in civil cases are based on when you learn about the wrong.

If you have surgery and and they leave a pair of hemostats in you and you do not learn about this until 3 years later the time of the statue of limitations starts then, not from the time of the operation.

just to clarify, are you asking if the date that JB made the opening statements would be the date the 2 year limit starts?

snipped by me.

All the above is great, BUT, more important to ME, would be if they had cared enough to actually meet the Nanny that was supposedly caring for the granddaughter they loved and wanted to protect so much.

THAT speaks volumes to me. IMO

Exctly! I agree with you, LoveJac, 110% !

But....... (and there seems to always be one of those, huh? LOL)....

I seem to remember G and Cindy were supposed to meet wealthy boyfriend several times.....for dinners at the A's home and out, and for whatever reason, table is set and Casey had an excuse why wealthy boyfriend couldn't make it....last minute change of plans.

Then the A's were supposed to meet Amy, and I think someone else and as usual, Casey made sure to come up with a reason why the person wasn't going to be able to show.

I wonder what would have happened, early on, if the A's had asked to meet Zanny?
What would have happened really early on if the A's 'INSISTED' on meeting the woman who what caring for their Grandchild day AND Night.

Something tells me there would have been reasons why Zanny wouldn't have been able to make those meets...... an accident, maybe?....Zanny's mother was really ill? Who knows. But I think that even if the A's insisted on meeting Zanny, it wouldn't have materialized.

Me? My Granddaughter? If I had to go 'super-sleuthing' on my own daughter, I WOULD have found out one way or another who this Zanny woman was....probably within the first month of hearing she was caring for my Grandchild!

There was no Nanny. Casey did any and everything to keep Cindy at bay when it came to the Nanny. Casey was a grown woman and entitled to leave her child with the nanny of her choice. There being no evidence of abuse, Cindy was likely never alarmed. When they were gone for so long, Casey continued to make things up about the Nanny - and Cindy could do nothing about it. Again, Casey was Caylee's mother, not Cindy.

I have no idea what I would do besides try to keep my daughter from getting the death penalty. I'm not about to say whether or not I am above the Anthony's and would act the same or differently - by the grace of God, I hope I never find out.

Thank you.

AZlawyer: No. First of all, he did try to get her bonded out. Secondly, if she had said, "No, wait, Caylee drowned by accident," it's not like anyone would have just released her based on that.

May I have a link to that post please? I can't seem to find it.

They are when there is a suspicion that scamming is involved thru non profit foundations and soliciting monies under false pretenses. I do not care about book deals/interviews. Rather distasteful but that is all.

It matters to me when many people who were tring to help were ripped off through the foundation, for one thing. 80% of the money they sent was taken by the Anthonys for their own personal use. Only 20% went to searching for Caylee. AND...........much of it was solicited when the Anthony's KNEW CAYLEE WAS DEAD. Disgusting!!!

Also fraudulent!

Speaking of Wedding..... Lee A said on the stand that he was presently NOT working.
A wedding, no matter the tradition for either family (Bride/Groom) means some $$$ doled out by the Groom/Groom's side, whether it be for the rehearsal dinner, boutonnieres, RING?

So if my math is correct, that means THREE people in the main wedding family are not employed.
A. mazing!

There's been a few times (very few) in my married life where we've been privy to some extra cash flow.
If other members in our family or friends were having a hard time, we MADE SURE not to flaunt our little windfall in front of their faces.

Two words: NO CLASS
*shakes head in disgust*

ETA: Don't get me wrong.....I don't begrudge anyone starting a new life and I wish Mallory and Lee a new beginning and a happy life.

I saw that the happy couple want someone to give them a $599.99 clothes hamper as a wedding gift.

Can someone in either family afford this? (That's not a real question.)

Maybe G&C's new friend David D will accommodate.

When Must a Wrongful Death Lawsuit Be Filed?

Each state has its own statute of limitations within which the wrongful death lawsuit must be filed:

  • California: 2 years
  • Florida: 2 years
  • Illinois: 2 years
  • New York: 2 years
  • Texas: 2 years
The deadline starts to run from the time of the victim's death, but occasionally, if the cause of death is not discovered until later, a court may allow the statute of limitations to being running from the date of discovery. This is called Tolling the Statute of Limitations.
