Is there a possibility that any information on JR was in Skinner's posts???
I do remember reading bits and pieces about JR and him inheriting a gun collection, but that was back in the early days of this case.
The only inherited guns mentioned in Skinner's thread were the ones inherited by MS from his father.
Kate,
all I could find is this WS post #678:
Jimmy's father was a crook when JR was a young lad. His dad was driving at an alarming rate of speed in an attempt to outrun the police who were chasing him. He died in a fatal car accident as a result. JRs father had a large cache of weapons. These are the same weapons that JR possessed when he was released from jail. JR could have owned more weapons than those belonging to his father. Upon a subsequent LEO visit to his home, the numerous weapons were discovered; hence, JR went to prison for weapons' possession by a felon.

No worries! Seriously. I totally understand how things spiral and it's easy to veer off track without realizing you're even doing it. :blowkiss:

There seems to be some questions about the weapons JR inherited. Judging by the date of the post, the information had to be available to us on or prior to Aug. 31.

"Rodgers’s only felony charge was filed in 2007, when he was 17 years old. He was accused of resisting arrest by fleeing and was sentenced to five years probation.
The felony conviction came two years later when he was caught with 43 rifles, pistols and shotguns that belonged to his deceased father. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
His lawyer in the federal case said in court filings that Rodgers had been told that he could return to the home he shared with his brother, as long as he didn’t touch the firearms. Prosecutors said Rodgers continued to acquire new guns after the state conviction.
He was arrested in 2010 for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He pleaded guilty in 2011 and was sentenced to 57 months in prison and was released in September 2014."

"Rodgers' only Missouri felony charge was filed in 2007 when, at age 17, he was accused of resisting arrest by fleeing in Monroe County, Mo. He was sentenced to five years probation. His lawyer at the time said that Rodgers was in a “hot rod” and didn't immediately pull over for police.
According to sources, that state felony conviction was the basis of a federal charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon that was filed in 2009. Officials said he was caught with 43 rifles, pistols and shotguns that belonged to his deceased father.
His lawyer .... said .... Rodgers had been told that as long as he did not touch the firearms there, he could return to the house he shared with his brother.
Federal prosecutors disputed .... said Rodgers continued to acquire new guns .... They noted that he was arrested in 2010 for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. In 2011 he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison. He was released in September 2014.

Thanks DeDee, I do believe that it was JR and NOT his dad who we thought was driving recklessly. I don't think there is anything more to his Dad's story or death after rereading. He was a guard at Moberly Corrections center when he died (info in obit)From my post, dated 8/31/2015, #678 in the thread:

Did anyone else think it was interesting that JR was AW's late daughter, C's, boyfriend when she passed away in March 2015? This per Charles R's interview.
Not boyfriend, but former housemates. This was clarified in a post beach made for an anonymous verified insider here. And what is also interesting, is CWW introduced her to JRR.

Beyond interesting. It's disturbing, imo.
