A second suspect in the case, 25-year-old Jimmy Rodgers, remains in the custody of U.S. Marshals in the St. Louis area. Rodgers must finish serving a six-month federal prison sentence before he can be transferred to face the charge in Lee County.

Hmm. IF the feds want JR to serve 6 months in a MO federal prison before transfer to FL, why is he now in the custody of US Marshals? Surely he would've been placed in a federal facility in MO or at least in BOP custody, if that was the plan.

Does anyone know when JR's boss called him?

The thing that is making me go WOW is that EVERYTHING that one would need to solve this tragic murder was posted on facebook the day after the murder. The BEST-FRIEND BRO, The HIT MAN and HAMMER, The wedding plan ,no ring, time period of plan inception, all linked together on face book

All of that had been posted at least 2 weeks prior to the murder, not after. Screenshots.

http://www.naplesnews.com/news/crime/sievers-suspect-moved-to-federal-prison-in-illinois

A Missouri man accused in the death of Dr. Teresa Sievers has been moved to a federal prison in Illinois.

Jimmy Rodgers, 25, is being held at a correctional facility in Greenville, Illinois, about an hour northeast of St. Louis. FCI Greenville is a medium-security prison with more than 1,200 inmates.

Rodgers is named on a warrant for second-degree murder in connection with Sievers' killing. Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott has said Rodgers and a second suspect, 47-year-old Curtis "Wayne" Wright, also of Missouri, were responsible for the doctor's death in late June. Few details about the homicide have been released by law enforcement.

Rodgers must finish serving a six-month federal prison sentence on a probation violation before he can be brought to Florida to face the charge in Lee County. Federal prosecutors and probation officials said Rodgers violated his probation by visiting a Fort Myers Walmart store on June 28, the day before Sievers was found dead.

Prison records give Rodgers an anticipated release date of Feb. 22, after which he can be transported to Lee County.

Wright, the second suspect, is no longer fighting extradition to Florida and could arrive at any moment. Sheriff Scott said last week that he knows when Wright will be transported but can't say publicly because of security reasons.

Gosh I would have thought an accusation of murder would have trumped a violation of probation order.....guess I am not up to date on all that...looks like they would let him go to Florida and/if stand trial for that then process for the probation violation...but guess that is not how that works.

LE needed to get Rodgers into lockup asap. Violation of probation was a sure thing and gave LE plenty of time to gather evidence sufficient to indict for the TS murder.

Am I correct in thinking JR could be transferred to a federal facility in FL before his Feb release date to get him in place for his arrest there?

From our favorite Sheriff regarding JR coming to a Florida prison....

"Lee Sheriff Mike Scott has said before that inmates can freely move between prisons, as the federal system is inter-connected.

“Prison is prison,” he previously told The News-Press."

If I remember correctly the closest fed prisons are Miami and Orlando. I was hoping they had one closer.

Tonight during the interview with Jessica Lipscomb from the Naples Daily News ( after Sheriff Mike Scott had to leave due to an emergency), she confirmed, that JR 's nickname "Hammer" was something he was not called by close friends before, but must have adopted that name some-when later.

Interesting!

Another potential timeline entry from JRR's Federal Warrant: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/2301410-jimmy-rodgers-federal-warrant

8/24/2015 LCSO contacted JRR's US Probation Officer and reported JRR was in FL.

Almost a month after the fact....interesting. I'm trying to reconcile the length of time between LCSO contacting his probation officer and what SMS said about CWW being a person of interest at the time of TS's funeral. Also, I see in another Fl case someone was charged w/ first degree felony murder approx 2 days after her son's body was found. Wasn't aware the GJ moved that fast!

JMO, LSCO obtained the Walmart video on August 24th, and immediately contacted Missouri (probably while driving to the airport).

Remember the suspect in that case was arrested on a lesser crime and extradited from another state first. I do hope when LCSO has completed collecting evidence and/or receive all the testing results, the grand jury will react just as quickly. That's been something I've been wondering about. Thank you.

I have a very strong suspicion that JR is working a deal with LE as we speak. The reasons I feel that way:
1- I think JR loves his pregnant gf, as much as a monster like him is able to. The fact that he took the time to buy her souvenirs from Florida, even though it led to his undoing, was kinda sweet in a way. CWW didn't buy Angie anything, did he? Since Taylor's the one who came clean to LE, I think she could convince JR to.
2- We haven't heard a peep about JR recently. The news has been focused on the two besties. Maybe that's bc he's still in MO and hasn't been prosecuted by FL yet, idk. Just seems weird to me that he's fallen off the radar.
