2015.08.26 Jimmy Rodgers: Charged with Murder in the Second Degree

  • #461
I was sleuthing some of the "innocents" involved in this case - of which there are many. I will not post anything here, of course, but do want to say that I feel sorry for the girl JRR was involved with. She is young and she is alone with two little kids and a third (his) on the way.

And I would imagine she will be one of the witnesses who will have to travel to Florida for the trial(s).

My favorite part:
"That case remains very active, very ongoing and as we speak, right now, there are developments unfolding in that case," Scott said Friday.

I like hearing this too.

Say goodbye, Mark?

You know CWW is passing out his unused phone minutes to the other inmates like a mad man knowing that JR is on his way to FL soon. Racking up those "favors"

I am really hopeful that JRR will do the "right" thing and tell LE everything he knows that might help LE. My worry is that CWW held a lot of info close to the vest and JRR may not know too much about MS involvement.

Please tell me that can't be possible!

Perhaps this has already been discussed but I was looking for something else and ran across this from a Wink news story back on Sept 2. In the article it said:

"A local attorney says the six month sentence could be a good thing. Once Rodgers is in Florida, he could request the right to a speedy trial, meaning his case has to go to trial in 180 days."

I don't know if this means anything five months later but I don't recall who his local attorney is, if he has one, or if he'd even request one.

No, say "Rot in hell"..

I was saving that for the death penalty or life verdict, along with the lyrics to Trace Adkins's Welcome to Hell. :)

IMO JR probably wouldn't get a good defense if he opted for a speedy trial. So much discovery for an attorney to go through!

What different jails cout CWW and JR be put in, yet be close enough for hearings etc.?

One of my main concerns is, CWW or 'someone' else putting a 'hit' on JR, in Florida jail system, as IMO, JR would be the one to tell what he knows to get out early. If there is money in hiding, this is possible, that is what it takes usually is money.

There is so much more to this story...

If today is the day JR's supposed to be released from Federal prison, IIR, CWW was brought in near midnight although not from a Federal facility. Am I correct in that with the late night time?

Has Rodgers retained a private attorney or had a public defender assigned to him for this case?

If so, I wonder when this happened. The lawyer may have worked on his defense for several months. Or maybe not.

Well...TSh is the person who stated that MS hired the hit for insurance money, so chances are much higher that JRR knows enough to sink MS's ship. I'm ready for LE to pull the trigger and get him behind bars.

I doubt he has one yet. He most likely will get a court appointed attorney once he's lands in Florida and gets formally charged

I thought that he was already formally charged.
