I still don't understand why he still had that second rental car when his car was ready before they left for the second trip for Florida :dunno:

I don't understand why he kept the second rental car so long either. Is it possible that the Kia wasn't running or reliable? I think that may be why they rented a car for the trip to the funeral. We had a wonderful older Camry that was fine for local use. But any time we traveled away from home we rented. It prolonged the life of the Camry, made sure we had a reliable car, and it was fun to try out different cars. Of course, we could afford it and CWW/AW presented themselves as poor.

I see the logic in renting a car to travel that far for various reasons BUT for CWW and AW not having money for bills or groceries, it's odd they could afford 2 rentals within 2(?) weeks of each other. JMO

They perhaps could not have afforded to rent them except for CWW having a Visa card on which to charge the rentals. I believe you cannot even rent a car nowadays without having a credit card against which the car rental company can "place a hold" on a certain dollar amount prior to you taking the car.

Regarding CWW keeping the rental car after they got back from the funeral, the rental contract was for a week, per the contract. So maybe he liked the car and just wanted to keep it for the entire pre-paid week.

Do we know for sure that he ever picked up his own car from the repair shop? Because that would have involved him paying for the repairs. What vehicle was he in when the police picked him up?

"she also lost a very young daughter who was kidnapped and murdered. <sidenote: We actually had a thread for her here at the time.>"

Was there ever an arrest and/or conviction for this crime?

Another question:

So, we are to believe that when the wife of MS was murdered, he never even called his "best buddy" - to whom he talked or texted every day for years, except over the prior month or two - to tell said buddy that his wife was dead? Hmmm....

Then CWW and wife AW immediately jump into another rental car and head for Florida. And they stayed for how long? With relatives of TS? Which relatives?

And CWW was out at the Seiver house installing cameras to the outside of the house? How very strange. Was this when the police still had the house cordoned off?

-----------

WHY was CWW rushing back down to Florida? When do we think MS paid CWW? How much? If the JRR portion was to be $10,000, then CWW must have been going to get a lot more than that amount, right?

Did CWW ever get paid? Did JRR ever get paid? Could that be what the $40,000 in the safe was for? Was the murderer supposed to take the money out of the safe as payment but could not open the safe, or what?

I agree with others who have posted that MS telling police "we kind of live month-to-month" and "there is $40K cash in a safe in the house" does not make a lot of sense. It would take some time to accumulate that amount of cash out of the medical business. Maybe not so much time if it was generated by something to do with drug dealing.

I knew the money in this case would lead back to MS! I knew a poor schlub like CWW didn't have 10,000 to pay JR--to kill a friends wife he "disliked"

Anyhow--I think driving a rental car was probably more reliable for CWW, he didn't want a break down on his special mission. Or his own car being spotted. Especially if his own vehicle was not super reliable. Most rental car agreements are in 24 hours increments, so if he booked the car for a week he probably kept that contracted rate. I'm sure he needed a credit card to rent that car. He just planned on paying his credit card bill with those crisp 100$ bills he seems to have all throughout the commission of his crime.

Oh and I think it's been said before but AmazonRain said TS had an iphone. There are so many apps to track someone with an iphone, just because MS did it, doesn't mean necessarily TS didn't know he could track her. They could have jointly had the find my friends app, that easily lets you track someone if they accept you. Me and my kids use it on each other all the time (me more then them!)

The Kia Rio they had was a 2012, so not exactly a hunk of junk and comparable to an Elantra IMO. CWW with AW driving were pulled over in the Kia when CWW was arrested. I believe they were speeding too heading north on some road (21 perhaps?).

Oh, but the tech Guru had deleted everything, don't ya know! What a buffoon.

Frigga, I'm pretty sure we were reliably informed early in the case that CWW is a GENIUS. I guess you forgot about that, so I just wanted to help you remember.

Did I understand correctly that LE was able to trace the calls and texts used with the "burner" phones? Did they MS, CWW and/or JR actually keep the burners?

LOL It always makes me smile to see it when someone refers to another as "a genius"!

I have a close relative who likes to bandy this term about. Her second husband was "a genius, an absolute genius" when she first married him. Ten years later, after he had long ago run through all of her money from a divorce settlement with hubby #1, was unable to keep a job and so started a business that he ran into the ground leaving them in debt to everyone in town including the State and IRS for unpaid taxes - well, he wasn't so much of a genius anymore. So she divorced him.
Some "genius".

After that, she began labeling the man her daughter married as "a genius". Oh, no, I thought. Yep, he turned out to be a drug addict. Who, during their eventual divorce, took the daughter financially for half of HER 401K savings and sued her for financial support. He also had incurred a whopping IRS debt from a failed business he had operated. Another "genius".

All I can say is, when you hear the term "genius" being bandied about, take a good hard look at the person who is making the statement.:facepalm::facepalm:

Not just a genius but a successful genius. When in truth neither CWW and MS can provide for their families.

If $40k was indeed in that safe, it just struck me how odd this would've seemed (from LE's perspective) considering MS told his mother to leave the alarm off. Despite the cash being secured in a safe, if you're living month to month why risk losing so much cash? I doubt the safe was bolted to the floor, but IDK.

IIRC MS donated to AW's deceased daughter's G** account. I wonder if CWW/AW are using these funds to pay their bills. How convenient. Wouldn't be surprised if MS made an anonymous donation as well.

I also saw that MS publically donated $100 to the 🤬🤬🤬 account for the deceased daughter of AW. I have my theories on that as well but I'll keep them to myself out of respect for the deceased woman (but certainly not respect for AW who, in my opinion, should be in jail as an accessory to murder after the fact).

In one of the articles I read or one of the videos I saw yesterday it was reported that LE took the $40k into evidence. Did you read that?

Just wanted to let all know that I started a thread (just approved, thanks beach!) called "Follow the Money" for all things monetary in this case.

I did not catch that! I bet MS was very upset if they took his $40k. In the investigative report, it says 'one of the safes was said to have had $40k in US Currency". The wording threw me off, it doesn't seem clear (to me) whether there was actually $40k in one of the 4 safes at the time it was opened for LE.

I think I'm going to start telling my daughters if they ever start dating someone who 'seems' to be a genius- RUN!

I have zero sympathy for AW. I've been praying she was interviewed by a federal agent at some point and made false statements. :jail:

I'd bet that AW knew nothing about the cash we think MS sent her husband. Part of why she was so angry that weekend was that he told her to stay and earn money while she thought he was taking "a vacation". I would wonder how he could afford to travel. I'd be furious and to telling him not to bother coming back from his vacation. Her parents buy their groceries, she has to work and new hubs takes off without his phone leaving me no way to contact him, my new husband? His stuff would be out on the porch with divorce papers. But, that's me.

Cash could have been one of the reasons why MS asked CWW if his mail was "safe" at home? Safe from wife's knowledge.

Run faster if they TELL you they're a genius. (or a ninja)

:drumroll:
