2016.02.23 Jimmy Ray Rodgers booked into Lee County Jail

  • #81
I was just thinking, we are wondering if CWW and JRR will be able to exchange any messages. Would Dept of Corrections staff try to gain their trust in an effort to try to get messages through them? Or put them in a cell (or near one) of a snitch who might get information out of them? Is that legal?

"My understanding is that CW is the only one that may have information leading to Mr. Sievers. Mr. Rogers never had any dealings with Mr. Sievers. If he has no direct link to Mr. Sievers, his testimony is worthless."

Usually a sign of alcohol abuse. Hence my name, I have first-hand knowledge.

Really doubt that JRR was consuming [much] alcohol during his last 6 month’s confinement in federal prison.

I hope to God, not. We see how prisoners work the system and are able to communicate with the help of others.

After further research I need to correct what I said to:

CWW and JR were both booked into downtown Lee County Jail, not Ortiz. However, CWW may or may not be at the Ortiz location. JR will remain at the downtown high security facility to be arraigned and then may or may not move to the Ortiz location.

I'm pretty sure that all intake is done downtown, and then inmates are bussed to the Ortiz facility if they are assigned to Ortiz. I want to say the Ortiz facility houses more inmates, but now I can't remember where I read that. But JR'S inmate locator is showing him at CORE, which is located on the Ortiz facilty, not downtown. It's the big newer building by the stockade building off Ortiz. The tent looking structures are the CPU units, which are the minimum sec. They will probably transfer JR back downtown for his arraignment.

The newest mugshot certainly looks like he might be taking things a bit more seriously now.

You never know. I watched a documentary once where inmates were fermenting their own alcohol in toilets (barf!) With orange juice, potatoes and fruit. They called it bunk, or something like that. I was thoroughly grossed out, lol

Simply put CWW and JR in the same cell that is wired for sound. Leave them in there for a month and the prosecution would have the entire layout placed in their lap. Jmo.
That may not be a bad idea. They've made such bufoons of themselves that they may still feel they're invincible.
I say try it out.

Totally agree with what you're saying. At first glance, that's what it resembled.

That's gross but I highly don't doubt it.

I think JR’s redness on face and neck look like a common sunburn pattern -
Red cheeks, red nose, and red lower portion of neck;
Forehead, chin, and underneath chin (upper neck) are flesh color – not noticeably red.

I see this type of sunburn on Florida tourists a lot.

Perhaps JR spent his last day in the Illinois federal prison rec yard catching some rays.

Exactly what some of us have already expressed concern about . Hopefully LE has more up their sleeve that hasn't been revealed yet. I would be showing CW pictures of MS every day enjoying his life of freedom in the FL sunshine.

I think you are correct. Booking done downtown and the moved to Ortiz. I think they may do video arraignment out of Ortiz, no? I wonder how they decide which max prisoners go to CORE and which ones stay downtown? I need a flow chart ;) And then if convicted do they go up to the state prison in north FL?

Didn't TSh tell the LE that the 10,000 owed to JR for his participation in the killing of TS, was supposed to come from a Life insurance payout? Surely if she knows, then JR most likely told her.

OMG! I had completely forgotten about that! Yup

Do you think that's enough though. Aren't a lot of murders similar to this due to life insurance payout? He could always say that he simply assumed that.

Ortiz holds a lot more than downtown but I would have no idea how they decide who goes where, except in instances like this where they need to be separated.

That caught my attention too. Just because TSH says MS didn't know JRR was involved doesn't mean it's true. I love how everyone (msm and others) has run with that as if it is fact. If that local defense attorney has been "watching this high profile case" then you would think he has seen the wedding pics with JRR, TSH and MS standing together 3 feet apart. So to say Mr. Rogers never had any dealings with Mr. Sievers isn't true. The attorney is either a lousy sleuth or he is looking for work (wink, wink).

I thought of that as well. Trying to fit in as a local. Locals don't have sunburned faces, btw.

BBM

And that means NO plea deal for him! Too bad, so sad. Don't drop the soap and all that jazz. It's sad he's so young and wasted his life - all for a freaking used mini van - But IMO this is exactly the kind of case where the death penalty should be used.
