2016.02.23 Jimmy Ray Rodgers booked into Lee County Jail

While JR might not be able to offer testimony to nail Mark, he will be able to offer testimony to help bump CWW'S charges to 1st degree murder. Once the death penalty is on the table, CWW is a lot more likely to squeal on his brother from another mother.

I agree. Somehow, to me, CWW doesn't seem like the type to give up his life so his "brother from another mother" can get away with murder, and live it up on the outside.

Mine is for United Stated District Court. Oh dear, I just see where I am "on call" for one month! I think both juries are in the same building though? If we both have to show up on the same day, maybe go to lunch?

No, you are in the federal building on First Street. As a side-note, If you think the regular courthouse is high security, you will experience real high security when entering the federal building.

LOL, thanks for letting me know! I plan to have my daughter take me down there prior to the 1st so I will know where to go and where to park.

Looks like Fashion Week at The Big House.... think JR wore it better

I am so happy those psychopaths were made to wear those suicide dresses (for whatever reason) and filmed for all the world to see for time and eternity.

CANNOT wait to see Mark Sievers in one!

They are 3 bungling idiots ( thank goodness actually...so they could be caught) unfortunately nothing funny about what they did...
I agree completely on the bungling idiots and that was the comparison I was making only. I had a moment of the 3 of them slapping each other around. I'm sorry if it came through another way.

I'm so thankful they left a blazing trail of evidence of their activities, yet they all thought they were so smart that they could outsmart the system. (duh)

I never had the pleasure of meeting TS, however, it's very apparent she made a huge difference in this world and her precious life was taken long before her time in a most horrific and tragic way.

I pray everyday for TS and her precious 2 angels that the very people that are responsible for this tragedy have to do the time for this horrific crime they committed!!

I can't remember why both JRR and CWW were charged with 2nd degree as it appears to me as that they committed murder with premeditation. I am assuming the charges will be upped? Or is 2nd degree, being a lesser charge, supposed to be an incentive for them to talk? Is there a time frame for both men to have their charges elevated to 1st degree?

What would MS be charged with when LE gets more proof? Conspiracy? Or would he also be charged with 2nd degree murder? I was also wondering whether the murder of TS meets the criteria for the DP? TIA

Zuri, IIRC only a Grand Jury in Florida can indict someone on first degree charges- which would of course include the death penalty.

I wish the news station would also show pictures from the Wrights wedding in May showing Mark, Curtis and JRR together and either chatting or wooping it up. I want those pictures put up on the screen when talking of Mark Sievers being involved but not charged. Over. And. Over. Again!

While things JRR would tell prosecutors about anything he knows about the relationship between MS and CWW may not be admissible as evidence in a trial, it surely could end up being of value to investigators.

All the way down to Florida, hanging out while waiting to do the deed, entering the house to await Teresa's arrival, and then the long drive back after they killed her, does anyone really think the two of them never discussed MS at all?

Since it was a long drive from MO to FL there and back. Plus with Curtis telling others that he was going to FL to do work for Mark; I'm sure that Curtis told JR very specific things ( that will link Mark) during the entire trip.

So it's now every man for himself.

But in all honesty. Teresa's family should petition to the courts that Mark should not be allowed to hand over guardianship of the kids until he is truly proven not guilty of any involvement. Jmo

Thanks! What kind of charges would MS be facing?

That I don't know- hopefully Creepingskills or AZLawyer will chime in!

First degree murder, if he solicited and offered payment for it.

I keep thinking their names are really Larry, Moe and Curly. I can't figure out who is who though.

Lol. Some younger folks will never understand the good ole days of getting a bowl of popcorn to watch shows such as the 3 stooges, Benny Hill, Carol Burnett, etc.

Priceless indeed.

Don't worry. I will be astounded if they all are not charged with First Degree.

They drove thousands of miles to get there. There is no doubt. But they need the Grand Jury. Of course, it is Florida so they could get off. Grrrrrr

I have also wondered whether TS's murder fits with Florida's death penalty criteria. If so, for which suspects, etc. I found a list of aggravating circumstances listed on the Florida statute, which I have copied and pasted below. When I read through them, several seemed to me that they could be used against one or more of the suspects, IF the charges are upped to First degree Murder. I highlighted the ones that jumped out to me in red.

(5) AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES.—Aggravating circumstances shall be limited to the following:
(a) The capital felony was committed by a person previously convicted of a felony and under sentence of imprisonment or placed on community control or on felony probation.

(b) The defendant was previously convicted of another capital felony or of a felony involving the use or threat of violence to the person.

(c) The defendant knowingly created a great risk of death to many persons.

(d) The capital felony was committed while the defendant was engaged, or was an accomplice, in the commission of, or an attempt to commit, or flight after committing or attempting to commit, any: robbery; sexual battery; aggravated child abuse; abuse of an elderly person or disabled adult resulting in great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement; arson; burglary; kidnapping; aircraft piracy; or unlawful throwing, placing, or discharging of a destructive device or bomb.

(e) The capital felony was committed for the purpose of avoiding or preventing a lawful arrest or effecting an escape from custody.

(f) The capital felony was committed for pecuniary gain.

(g) The capital felony was committed to disrupt or hinder the lawful exercise of any governmental function or the enforcement of laws.

(h) The capital felony was especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel.

(i) The capital felony was a homicide and was committed in a cold, calculated, and premeditated manner without any pretense of moral or legal justification.

(j) The victim of the capital felony was a law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of his or her official duties.

(k) The victim of the capital felony was an elected or appointed public official engaged in the performance of his or her official duties if the motive for the capital felony was related, in whole or in part, to the victim’s official capacity.

(l) The victim of the capital felony was a person less than 12 years of age.

(m) The victim of the capital felony was particularly vulnerable due to advanced age or disability, or because the defendant stood in a position of familial or custodial authority over the victim.

(n) The capital felony was committed by a criminal gang member, as defined in s. 874.03.

(o) The capital felony was committed by a person designated as a sexual predator pursuant to s. 775.21 or a person previously designated as a sexual predator who had the sexual predator designation removed.

JRR was on federal probation at the time of the murder, so A could apply to him. F, H and I could apply to JRR, CWW and MS, if charged. They all committed the murder for financial gain. I am not sure what legally qualifies as "especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel", but to me being beaten to death with hammers seems like it should fit the bill. They could have shot her or chosen any other death in their sick scheme. But they chose one of the most vicious, brutal ways I can even think of to kill someone. I also think they killed TS in cold, calculated and premeditated way, without any moral justification. They did it for greed, plan and simple. I hope someone in the Sheriff's department reads those verbatim to JRR, and he squeals like a pig. I sincerely hope once JRR cracks, they will have enough to press CWW, who will sing like a canary about his "brother from another mother". Actually what I REALLY hope is that somehow they will get what they need to arrest MS, and up the charges to murder 1 on all of them. It makes me sick to think of any of them getting a deal.

In the videotape footage- Jimmy Ray looks like he recently got quite a bit of sun- his arms are very telling. I take it they can go shirtless in the yard? Can they wear those tank type undershirts?

I guess I started wondering about a Silence of the Lambs type of deal where in exchange for full cooperation and his testimony he's allowed some time outside with Taylor maybe- before his baby is born, and before he heads to Florida to do hard time. With the Feds that's possible- right?

I'm dreaming- I know.
