I was wondering when the baby would be born and now there's another innocent child victimized by having no father due to this greedy tragedy. If it were me, I doubt I'd have included the slime-ball on the registration since I'd be distancing myself from him as far as I could.

On the other hand, maybe she is hoping that JR's family will assist with the baby from time to time and doesn't want to offend them by not listing his name.

Although I'm glad she had the cajones to talk to LE, I also feel sorry for her in many ways but just not this one. Come to think of it, since she did talk to LE maybe some in JR's family is pissed at her for doing so and this is an olive branch to them. Who knows?

Creepy thought... I remember some posters speculating that the murder could have been recorded. Perhaps MS himself counted the blows?

I'm riding off of my other post to your response. DM, I know that you are a kind, loving, giving, and understanding person. These bunch of misfits do not carry those traits and it's been proven.

Because when I think of a baby who has nothing bc the sperm contributor happened to also be a ruthless, albeit stupid, killer, it pulls on my heartstrings and makes me want to get "One of Everything for the Chap"! Oh I'm kidding but she might guilt me into some diapers and baby formula. Does she breast feed, I wonder?

Because I'm the same as you. I try to warn others of people who are bottom-feeders. I do not know if TSh is that type of person. What I do know is that her circle is filled with people that don't care about you (or me).

I'm sure you are correct. I just can't get my mind wrapped around wanting to live my life and raising my children in such a way. I know things are different now than they were in the late 80's/early 90's when I was having kids--- or maybe they aren't so different. I guess there have always been people who work the system or bottom-feeders (great description btw!)
My job takes me to some really low income families in a state where poverty levels are high. Through the years, I developed a gut feeling for those that want to help themselves vs those who want something for nothing. Some might call that Intuitive!
Still, I have to fight cynicism as the burn out rate for my profession is quite high.
I HOPE TSh will get her act together, see how close she came to getting either 1- hooked up further with a maniac and/or 2- getting herself in a world of trouble. I am not terribly hopeful as she is publicizing JR's name as the father. That poor child will never know her dad and will forever carry a stigma, not deserved, that Daddy is a Hammer Killer.
ETA- IMO, it is never the child's "fault" but it is a fact the cycle continues.

I just re-read the past several posts. The more I think about it, I cannot believe she listed JR's name on the Baby Register! Sorry. Any sympathy I had for TSh just dissipated as soon as that sunk in.
What in the world is she thinking? Is she that stupid or in denial as someone suggested? I'm going with stupid. She is probably sending whatever money she can scrap together for his phone calls and commissary. I guess they have commissary- don't really know (thinking of OITNB). This girl was in bed with him when he confessed to killing a woman he 1) never met 2) bc his former prison mentor groomed him for the job and 3) for a measly 10k! (Not that it even matters!) He is a KILLER and she is still associating herself and her baby with him! Like the little couple from down the street!
I'm really sorry for the long rambling post that doesn't really add much to the discussion. I don't why the Baby Register didn't "register" when I was feeling bad for TSh.
Thank you, TSh, for helping LE in the beginning of this case but if you are reading this, disassociate yourself with that maniac! You will eventually have to explain to your daughter but you are YOUNG enough to start over- even with 3 kids! Start over, TSh! At a case management conference for the two defendants, prosecutors also said they haven't made a decision about whether to seek the death penalty in the case of Rodgers. They didn't speak to whether a decision has been made in Sievers' case, but no filing has been made.

Rodgers hasn't waived his right to a speedy trial. If Rodgers doesn't waive that right, prosecutors could be required to take the case to trial by late August.

I know everybody has their own taste in men, but honestly, looking at the photo of MS in the abovementioned link, the first thought that came to me is "What in the world did TS ever see in this guy?"

Was he SO flattering to her that she overlooked that he was not a good-looking man, had a minimum of education, never apparently had any kind of a great job, and seems to be inherently lazy. Perhaps he was the "lap dog type" with her and that's what she wanted?

It seems the more I read of their exchanges, the more confused I become about their relationship.

Our latest documents were released on May 17.
Since this article was posted on May 18th, It looks as if the next documents we are expecting are also cell phones and texts.

Hunter said more than 43,000 pages of evidence have been shared with lawyers for Rodgers and Sievers, with another large set of cell phone and tower records expected in the coming weeks.
