Records show shopping lists of trio arrested in Teresa Sievers slaying

--snips--

Turns out, Curtis Wayne Wright Jr. has a thing for Atomic Fireballs, chili corn chips and Jolly Ranchers.

Since his October arrest, the Missouri native has spent more than $850 at the Lee County Jail commissary on everything from candy and junk food to stamps and XXXL boxers.
He's also purchased the necessities: a wash cloth, crew socks, a thermal top, finger toothbrushes and dandruff shampoo. (bald guys require dandruff shampoo?)

He's purchased a few packs of playing cards and a word search, plus pens paper and stamps.
But mostly, it's been banana moon pies, jumbo honey buns and root beer barrels.
~~~~
In the meantime, [Mark Sievers]has spent just over $200 at the jail's commissary.
He's bought toiletries including triple antibiotic cream and deodorant, Colgate toothpaste and cocoa butter lotion.
He's purchased two pairs of boxers — size large — and a couple of tops and pants.
He has bought playing cards, writing pads, pens and stamped envelopes.
He too has purchased some junk food, including chocolate chip cookies, fudge brownies and strawberry Pop-Tarts.
~~~~

From the Collier County Jail, Jimmy Rodgers has spent just $39.50 in comparison. He's purchased Now and Later candy, a bag of peppermints, butterscotch candy, three Honey Buns and 39 stamped envelopes with blue pens and paper.

Why on earth is it anyone's business what these individuals have purchased from the commissary?

DT: Will MS ever come clean and be truthful to his daughters or will he die an old man still proclaiming his innocence?

Me: He will NEVER come clean to his daughters, IMVHO. He doesn't have it in him.

Here is a reputable link to a study discussing the relationship between prefrontal cortex (frontal lobe) damage to the brain and psychopathy: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3937069/

The studies began in the early 90s and were controversial, but it is now considered to be established to some extent. If MS has a damaged brain he is actually incapable of some of the feelings one would expect. And he will be most surprised when he is convicted and probably will not understand, EVER, what we are talking about. I do not know why this is not being discussed in the context of traumatic brain injury. Maybe out of respect since it is not their fault, but some of the results are the same. I have read about a movement among parents to limit heading of the soccer ball for children.

Because they lost their right to dignity when they were invloved in a brutal and pointless murder.

We as a society have got to figure out a way to protect ourselves from these people, whether or not it is a result of a malfunctioning brain. Too many people believe that anyone can be rehabilitated and thus, should be given a chance and dignity. This could be dangerous if the person's brain is damaged, making rehabilitation impossible.

Agree.

There's no rehabilitation from smashing a hammer into someone's face.

It's not an accident.

It's human nature for many of us to be curious about lots of things.

I've never been arrested, in jail or prison and many aspects of that life are interesting to me. You can even find recipes using items from the commissary. I find that interesting. Many creative criminals in there.

As I recall, DMacky, early on in this case ONE OF THE OFFICIALS - a detective? sheriff? - said publicly that they wanted to get CWW & JR completely cut off from one another. For Sure, they want MS completely cut off from CWW !! But, DMacky, I agree that it is stunning all the stunts Jodi A pulled off while she was in the jail -------- do any of you remember that day in the courtroom when Jodi sneakily stuffed a little paper into the lining of her courtroom chair???

Here's what I wonder: WHY IN THE WORLD would police NOT arrest MS BEFORE the news that CWW had made that plea agreement to rat-out MS became public knowledge??? It seems to me that MS would unravel & become unglued & that would put the innocent little ones in tremendous risk.

I guess it makes sense what I read here on WSl from some of the posters: MS is delusional now. MS thinks, for instance, that him being such a wonderful parent to the 2 kids is going to have the judge give him a slap on the wrist, such as, "Oh, MS, we are so sorry: You never again can own a firearm. But we all know that since you're such a wonderful dad, we're gonna let you go, on probation! - we know you just made a 1-time small blip to your usual good judgment & will never again do anything wrong...".

That video clip of MS in court about the 2 kids really burns me up: MS looks all happy, giddy!, & has this "I am in complete control of this judge/the legal system!!" about him.

Whether MS has a trial IMO will depend on who his appointed lead att'y is: If MS has a public defender team, I would expect MS to take a plea. If there was the utter lunacy of a trial in this matter, I have the feeling that we will 1st see a bit of weight gain on MS (those vending machine Frit@s), but in short course, reality will settle in on MS & he'll get bony thin, like Scott Peterson did as that trial progressed.

Mary,
The timing of MS's arrest was not a coincidence. Mark didn't have a clue that LE was coming to take him for a ride. He was arrested the same day his BFF took the plea deal. (Probably as soon as the ink dried)
I'm sure CWW gave LE the final piece of the puzzle/evidence they needed to link Mark to this horrific murder and make it stick.
The news about CWW didn't break UNTIL MS was handcuffed.

I don't think MS ever thought his brother would roll on him. Especially since CWW had already been in jail for 6 months, and hadn't yet. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Mark actually found out "his arrest" was a gift from his brother from another mother!
I wonder if LE told him, or maybe it was his own mother. MS didn't have access to watch the news like we all did. He was too busy getting frisked, fingerprinted, photographed, a new orange outfit etc.

Speaking of a new outfit, any takers for a new avatar? (JK)
Long fingernails to boot?

I agree as well. In a conversation a few yrs ago with our local Police Chief, he told me "these types DO NOT want to be rehabilitated, they don't care & never will". Sad.... there are people like this, FACT... that there is no way to rehabilitate them.

'Neither Mark Sievers nor Jimmy Rodgers attended the hearing, and written pleas of not guilty had previously been entered for each man.'

'The next scheduled court date for Rodgers and Sievers is May 18.'

Thanks NIN. If they both make an appearance it looks like "same time, same place" due to having the same case #. Bet there's a cat fight in Wardrobe over who gets to wear what. Could be bad for JR since MS may have lost access to the cell block manicurist.

BBM: I saw an interview with voluntary inmates for a program on A&E titled "60 Days In". They spoke of Jolly Ranchers being used for a drug delivery system...Melt the Jolly Rancher down, add drugs to it, and then keep it in your mouth. No worries. A lot of the hard candy it seems can be melted down and formed into weapons. CWW probably has the largest amount spent for 2 reasons...1 - He's been in longer. 2 - This ain't his first rodeo. You have "taxes" you have to pay whilst in the slammer. I'd love to know who is putting money on their books!

Oh, also I find it interesting that CWW's wife isn't mentioned as a video call or whatever. Something tells me, he played her (I'd have to refresh my memory as to why I came to that conclusion in the past).

I would be surprised if CWW was very happy with AW right now. I'm sure they would have been caught either way, but her complaining to anyone who would listen about the new hubby's Florida vacation didn't exactly help. [emoji1]

IDK, maybe it's just me, but it makes me sick that deprived criminals get to enjoy a multitude of snacks and grooming products. This is not a summer camp. I'm sure the prison system is making a lot of money.

I sort of agree with you in that I don't want them too comfortable. My goal is to keep the likes of them behind bars away from the public. CWW will get out in approx 20-25 yrs and there is no need to make him so mad at his treatment he comes out intent on making someone pay. It isn't our taxes paying for their luxuries or their phone calls. MS and CWW can scheme no more women, can start no new cons (there only con's will have to be conning other cons), can not kill anyone. There only intimacy will be with other cons. Cant be a negative role model for any children. All 3 guys are just where we need them. Many of us had a wonderful time with family and meals and Easter eggs yesterday. Those 3 , well at least 2 of them will probably never touch real grass again. I am guessing the source (s) adding money to their canteen account will slowly dry up.

I hope the good citizens of Florida don't have to pay their dental and medical bills for self-induced illnesses. I'm from the deep south. I thought we were the only people who ate moon pies, honey buns and root beer barrels. I guess they've gotten acclimated to our southern palate.

It appears TS Mercedes is worth somewhere around 5K. I did't look up the van but I would assume in that same range. The condo's in the same building in Missouri are selling in the $60K-$65K range. We have no idea on home equity on Jarvis , or for that matter, the equity in Missouri condo either). MS could have acquired some cash selling items to man pulling the trailer parked at his house for several days back in Feb I believe it was. We have no idea on potential TS student loans. IRS back taxes and penalties. Any found Siever cash will probably end up in MS defense fund.
I would guess maybe a sibling or relative has stashed some long term canteen cash for MS. Would you do that for your sibling that you 100% know planned the killing of his wife and mother of his kids? If you could easily afford to send (your brother) MS $100/month, would you? I think most moms would, many siblings would not.

"PRIVATE" attorney! This is no public/ regional defender. This is a private law firm (2 partners) from Naples.

-Nin

Didn't the public defender's office say they had a conflict, though? If so, a private attorney would be appointed from the "conflict counsel" list of attorneys who contract to represent defendants at low rates when the PD has a conflict.
