"Also, early Saturday morning, a source close to the investigation said deputies removed a weapon from the trunk of a car belonging to Casey' father, George Anthony. Such a discovery on the Anthony property could have imperiled Casey Anthony's release from jail, but a spokesman for Orange County Corrections said that a judge ruled that Casey presumably had nothing to do with the weapon."

Good find, Sherbie - TY for the link

OK You all made me do it!! Look at the 2 pictures I can't make it any better than that my dog already thinks I'm nuts!!

Now you photoshop wizards add a bag to my pic and voila!!

Oh and forgive me my messy house--Websleuths calls!!

Oh and another thing as you can tell I'm fatter than she is so she has bony elbows!

I don't think that's a bear we're seeing in that picture. I believe her mag light is turned towards her and is on, and because it's close to her body and the bag, there's a sort of halo type effect.

It still looks like a police radio/scanner and some sort of stuffed thing! However, it does seem like it's a moot point now!

That's true. But the gun wasn't technically in the home. If George had it in the car technically speaking he might be able to get it back. If it was a gun.

I doubt if they will rearrest her over this.

I think LE wants George to know that they are on to his every move.

The sheriff is probably an elected official. Right now the majority of the public is "with him" and he knows it. Therefore he feels empowered to "harass" within the confines of the law. If you get my drift. LOL:)
they consider the yard and any place that she can go within the home as the home.

I don't think she will be rearrested either...but dang! what was george thinking??? I mean a complete duh....ya know?! I do not GET these people at all!

I also think and this is JMHO that George's outburst have made the sheriffs department feel less then good about him having a gun in his possession. We don't know what they might have discovered about his "leaving" his deputy sheriff's position in Ohio either.

Wonder where the "tip" came from? LE prob waited until very late at night due to the looky loos out front. Plus the added bonus of having to wake the A's up - didn't hurt.

I do believe an enclosed garage COULD BE considered part of the interior of the house.

They (LE) seemed to know exactly what they were going for and exactly where to find it.

IF that gun has been there for awhile - why go get it now? They just found out about it - prob during the day yesterday - had to get a judge to sign the warrant - then waited until they would be the "least" observed at going to get it. LE would not have sat on an available gun if they knew it was there. Maybe got the info off a wire tap in the house? Or maybe someone called saying they knew GA had a gun in the car.

Can't wait until the prime time shows tonight! Who knows what'll happen.

To be honest with you it has to have come from someone who knows him well, or family. They seemed to know EXACTLY where to find it.:)

better yet....did George have the gun the LAST time his daughter was on home confinement? Or is this a new purchase? WTH! If he had that gun the entire last time she was out if I were the judge I would revoke that bond! Esp since the gparents have been so odd and uncooperative imho!

Could be his employer, a co-worker, anyone who would know that G had the gun and where he kept it. I think they wanted a warrant to document it so there was no question about how they got it from him is all. Who knows? G may have told them earlier in the day himself.

Swag,
Will there be any prime shows tonight being it's the weekend? I am certainly HOPING there will be a show!

How did you get LE's shirt on?

Also, you got anything good to eat from that pantry.

And, also, thanks!

I wonder what transpired yesterday that brought the gun/weapon to their attention and prompted them to go remove it.

Afterall, unless George went and purchased it this week (and he was either seen or followed or found on film, etc.) and then they had to go retrieve it because he had acquired it when Casey was back in jail, which seems a bit unlikely, that means the gun/weapon had been there the FIRST time she was out.

So it seems somehow they were tipped off...OR they knew it was there all along (for whatever reason) but only chose to act on it now.

If THAT'S the case, why? Is the house tapped and they heard a lot of conflict in the house and mention of the gun? Had Rob or the BH gal that was in the house somehow come to knowledge of the gun and told LE when she was re-released since they were also well aware of the tension in the house?

It strikes me as very interesting that this was addressed just hours after her second release, when barring something being witnessed this week, the weapon was probably there the first time home.

seems to me that home confinement (since it is a condition) would make SURE and question the persons in the home about weapons BEFORE RELEASE. This just don't fly any way I look at it! He was hiding that stupid weapon! She either needs to be moved somewhere else or put back in the slammer. You cannot trust these parents to be truthful about having weapons on the property or anything else for that matter! imho imho.......frustrated nurse LOL

That is the same thing that crossed my mind. Remember Geo flipping out on Little Dude, too?

I think he has a temper, and a gun in the vicinity isn't a good idea whether his horrid Daughter is out, or not.

Well, the day of the umbrella guys filming his house, GA was very angry and he did talk to the neighbor fo a long time that day. We all know that GA doesn't have very good control when he is angry. He may have said somehting to the neighbor that day and the neighbor wasn't concerned enough to report it until last night when the protesters started yellig and the fight broke out. He would have called it in and then waiting for a judge to sign a warrant, the timing works out. IMO

IF that gun has been there for awhile - why go get it now?

Because pardon the pun-- George is a loaded gun. He's blinded by emotion and has no reality compass left him. I truly believe he grabbed that gun or threatened to grab that gun and Baez, as much as all hate him, stepped in and stopped that foolishness.

I think it is a power play by the sheriffs office. They are "stripping him of his power" so to speak.

He seems to have really poor impulse control.

I still wonder if he helped Casey.
