4 infants found dead when landlord cleaned out rental home - Sept 2025 - Ford City PA

I found her mugshot and also a Facebook page that looks like her with the same age. It looks like she has two children and might be married and working. If she is still married and/or still working, you would think that someone would know that she was pregnant. I mean, it was three times. Very, very sad. Log into Facebook

Can you please provide an approved source link for the mugshot photo? Thanks!

It is mind blowing to me that once she proceeded with that first horrific incident , she repeated it twice more. It is very hard to believe. yikes. I'd think it would be impossible to continue that behaviour while also being a mother and working a job. She must have been depressed and an emotional zombie throughout the other 2 dead end pregnancies.

I don't have a subscription, but I can read it without one, for some reason. Some details from the article:

Troopers questioned Mauthe about a tote found at her former residence at 139 Oak Lane, court papers state.
She informed troopers that it was an infant child that she had birthed approximately one year ago, the affidavit reads.

Mauthe related she gave birth to this child in her bathroom while she was seated on the toilet, and that the child remained in the toilet for several minutes, court papers state.

During that time, Mauthe said she could hear the child making several noises, the affidavit reads.

Mauthe removed the child from the toilet, and wrapped a towel around the infant's entire body, where it remained until it stopped making noises, she said, according to court papers.

Did no one in her life notice her pregnancies?

she's on the bigger size so I can see people not wanting to comment but her husband? surely he noticed! (or maybe they were separated)

There's what's obviously a wedding picture from about eight years ago on her Facebook, other than that, just pictures of what I assume are her living children, last one posted two years ago.

No indication in the article that anyone other than her was living at the apartment, it just says she was evicted, not a family was evicted.

MOO
There were Legos in one picture of apartment.

Stupid question but can she claim post partum depression or psychosis if she didn't kill the other children?

Does it happen every pregnancy? I don't think post partum depression does, but I don't know about Psychosis.

I don't know either, but KEEPING the bodies in the home and then leaving the home without removing them has to be a sign of mental issues. Even if she was hiding the births and deaths, she didn't fully hide/dispose of the bodies.

Hiding 3 pregnancies, 3 births and then 3 bodies of three babies would not indicate post partum psychosis IMO. It's just doesn't work that conveniently.

Pennsylvania has a safe haven law too. All she had to do was take each infant and give it to the right person after birth and there would be no crime involved. People would line up for a healthy newborn to adopt.

This is so horrifically sad. I can never fathom people killing and hurting babies. It's just so insanely sick. But how stupid can you be to commit a crime like this three times and not even bother to hide the evidence of your crime? It would not be that hard to at some point dispose of a tiny body (to be frank). She had to have known she was being evicted. You don't just suddenly find yourself evicted in a few hours.

I can't help but think mental illness of some sort is involved. But I'm sure she doesn't have an IQ of 55 or something. And she's not so mentally ill she's been unable to survive or function on her own for years. But killing anyone at all always seems to me like the result of a really sick mind whether diagnosable mental illness or not. An evil person is by default "mentally ill".

Lots of junk left behind is more like it.
I think she needed help and either nobody noticed or she doesn't have anyone who noticed or was in position to help.

Keeping three dead bodies, getting evicited, leaving the house in that condition....huge red flags that she's not okay (understatement considering three babies died).

Does she have any other criminal history? It's so crazy. There has to be a larger story here.
