Now Dateline is stating that BK befriended a female classmate (sorry not sure if grad student or underclassman), he installed cameras for her after a break-in. Supposedly he was actually considered a suspect in said break-in. Dateline talking heads wonder if it was orchestrated and part of his escalation toward murder.

It was Judge Megan Marshall. And that may be, that it's a new judge because of arraignment. I was wondering.

I think the new Judge (Judge Judge) is the District Court Judge. The case is going to trial and Judge Judge is going to manage the trial from here on out, unless of course the defendant successfully has a motion to change judges (which I doubt will happen). The defense may try to eliminate Judge Judge, but since Idaho has divided the judge duties so far, it will take a while before the defense could be successful in an appeal. Judge Judge has, IMO, done nothing controversial. He hasn't had time.

Looks like Idaho not only got a GJ, but has more than one judge agreeing on proper procedure. Hard to defeat on appeal. I like this.

Yikes! I am waiting for Dateline to be available in my timezone. That's a scoop. Oh my.

Dateline also just reported that a classmate of BK at Pullman had someone break into her apartment and not take anything, but move things around. She didn't report it to LE because nothing was taken. But she did call BK and he offered to go over to her apartment and have a look. He recommended she install a video security system and he offered to install it. So she did, and he did install it. And he knew the password, since he installed it. Just an interesting fact they reported, since Dateline is looking at the possibility that the murders followed a progression of actions by BK.

Also, in Moscow, close to the King Road House, about a month or so before (IIRC) a student who lived in a sorority nearby reported that she had left a suitcase in her car overnight, and in the morning the suitcase was found outside of her car. And stuff she had in her car in the center console, etc. were now in the suitcase. And a piece of her underwear that had been in her suitcase was placed in a cubby area of her side door console. Creepy and weird, police came and took a report, agreed it was weird. No proof this was related to BK, but they wonder if BK was progressing toward the murders by taking steps of peeping, doing odd things.

Now they wonder if BK was involved in some of these reports around the time before the murders and in the area.

Dateline reported that one of the assigned readings at DeSales University by Raamsland in her course that BK took was the book she co-wrote with BTK, "Confessions of a Serial Killer." I think they said the course was about "Extreme Murders," not sure of the exact title of the course, but "Extreme" was the first word.

Dateline is saying that BK purchased the KaBar and the sheath on Amazon before he left for school in Pullman??

I'm still waiting for it to be available in my timezone. Is the episode entitled "Killings in a College Town"? It appears to be using some footage from the earlier Dateline. Hard for me to say what's new, so far, if I'm watching the right thing.

This is very much in keeping with what some of us hypothesized about about the monster who did this. I'm only a little surprised that Dateline pulled in the other issues women were facing in that neighborhood.

Do you know the title of the episode??

TIA.

This one is “The Killings on King Road”. The Amazon knife/sheath purchase seems new, and I had never heard the story of the female that BK installed cameras for.

I've always wondered if he had been in the house before. The way the house was made would make it very easy to watch and know if anyone was home.

On Dateline tonight, various experts are saying that they believe that BK was likely in the house before, showing up at a crowded party and checking out the layout. Part of his progression from peeping, watching them through windows, to actually entering the house.

Dateline says investigators believe BK was Papa Rodgers who posted about the murders and that the sheath was found online b4 public knew sheath was found.

To me suggests BK was an inCel. OMG

Reminds me of the Golden State Killer, who went in people's houses at night while thay slept, took small things and escalated over time to rape and murder. He was a policeman for a couple of years.

I have theorized that BK always had a burglar kit with him in his car, ready to take opportunities to lurk or enter and that he had been doing B&E and getting away with it for some time.

If BK is "Papa Rogers"
It's definite. Page 118 is the crucial page of Elliot Rogers manifesto.

Source said that during the holidays, his sister brought up that BK had taken to wearing gloves, he had been near the Idaho killings, and drove an Elantra. She brought him up as a suspect, his Dad disagreed. Some family members went outside to look for evidence in the Elantra.

Feel so sorry for the Dad and his pride at his son being a PhD student. MOO BK a hard child to raise and then this.

IDs of two women (not the victims) were found inside a latex glove in BK’s room.

Too much coincidence for me. Of course, even before there was a suspect, I felt that this was probably one of those creeper-crimes, in which the perp spent time watching, prowling, hot prowling and working up to murder.

Crazy that he was a suspect in the break-in, but not shocking.

imo

Killings on King Road

THANK you. Still not available for another hour with my subscription. Will watch tomorrow.

I have to say I'm glad some major news outlets are picking up the story. Needs to be done. Good timing, too.
