Info Not in PCA. Deliberately or Not. Non-dissemination Order

@maskedwoman snipped for focus Good post, agreeing,
quite a bit of info was not included in the PCA.

When drafting it, LE may have already had that ^those^ bits of info but saw no need to include them in PCA to support the arrest.

Some other "gaps" in PCA's narrative were filled by LE's further investigation. The def. team has (likely) received the info the state is obligated to provide thru discovery.
And here we are, discussing the gaps.

Question:
Between public release of PCA & judge's non-dissemination order, did LE or prosecutor release further evidentiary info re the case? TiA
I cannot recall any but may very well have missed it or may not have noted the timing.
I remember the search warrants and some return information being released by LE after the PCA. Then some video, etc., was released by both LE and non-LE sources, like videos of him being pulled over and the video that gas station manager found on the station's security system. I could be wrong, but I don't think any additional details about the events of that night have come out.

This is one example of what I mean when I say I can't stand 'Trial by Tweet. There are always going to inaccuracies in re-reporting the facts. Just like in the Murdaugh (Corey Fleming) case yesterday, first it was 10 year sentence and then corrected to 20 years. But after sooooo many tweets.

Gaaaaah, it drives me nuts.
Agree! You see the error the first time, and start to scream silently in your head "Noooooo, stop, stop, stop, make it stop!" because you know where it is leading *sigh*

Oh, it all comes back to me now.
I knew sooome things were released, could not recall what.
Thanks for this.

RSBBM. This is exactly where I've been from the beginning. I don't know what BK's motive might have been to go into that house and murder people, but I believe his background interest (possible obsession) in military and LE is significant. JMO. I very much think it looks like he was playing Special Ops the entire time, from the planning all the way to his exit out. I'm likely 100% incorrect, but I think it's possible his motive was the thrill of carrying out a mission like some bad a * *, rather than obsessing over a girl or an ideology. Logically, I think both the latter are much more plausible than my own idea, but I just can't shake it. JMO.

Makes you wonder if he was checking where in Moscow to score or heard about the supposed fraternity blow up (rumors). Things also weren't really going well in his graduate program and he might be running out of time.

Between previous surveillance and possible stalking, he had started planning. Then he thought this would be the perfect night to go over there and do something. Other people would be suspected (not him) because he supposedly has "no connection". It could have been an opportunity that presented itself. JMOO

I found this a tad curious.

No family has visited him.
Traveling from PA to ID just for a short visit at the county jail doesn't seem that practical so it doesn't seem curious or surprising to me. It's possible that members of his family will come for his trial, but maybe not, after all he is accused of murdering four young people.

I'm gobsmacked by Kohberger attempting to ban courtroom cameras and Delphi suspect Richard Allen attempting to allow them.

The two individuals seem so strikingly different. Kohberger strikes me as the type who'd love the attention and want every moment documented.

Richard Allen strikes me as one who knows the evidence against him is staggering and is legitimately wanting to minimize the details of his alleged crimes.

Definitely yes to cameras, but MOO a CSPAN type cam with the single point of view of the whole court minus the jury.
Wherever they decide to place the cameras, if indeed they are allowed, they definitely need to improve the audio feed. IMO it has been way below par in the hearings ("hearings" LOL ) so far.

Who knows?

My own impression of Kohberger regarding cameras is that since he seemed to thrive on dominance and control, and is also habituated to alienation, he is not comfortable with the spotlight on him. I also think he loses control even further when the media interprets and distills his story to the public, while he cannot shape it or stop it.

As to Richard Allen, that is a surprise to me, too.

Right, it's not called the "Inaudible."

Well we will have to wait for the hearing to find out details but with four people dead, two survivors, and not one single report of anyone yelling, screaming, pleading, or yelping in shock ... something doesn't stack up in that regard, unless everyone was pretty much fast asleep.

In a house that previous residents have stated the boards creak, where footfall can be heard, and has no sound proof or insulation. BK really got a bit exceptionally lucky didn't he? Not only that but a home with a dog and even then nobody even noticed for so many hours afterwards. It's unimaginable to me.
This was a very active weekend—football game, Greek events—late night—my opinion is that they were tired, drunk and asleep. I think Kaylee woke up, but her father said she was stabbed so hard that the knife went through her liver. She was incapacitated in seconds. What makes sense to me is that Ethan was asleep; Xana was awake and allegedly grabbed the knife causing her fingers to be nearly severed so yes, she fought back but the killer was stronger and had the element of surprise.

I believe it was Xana who collapsed against the wall. I’m unconvinced that Ethan was in the floor. I believe Xana was the only one in the floor. I think she got out of bed and tried to run but was trapped between the killer and the wall she collapsed on. She put up her hands..grabbed the knife, had her fingers nearly severed, and no doubt a fatal wound to a major organ.

Maddie was allegedly found in the bed with Kaylee slumped over her. I believe she tried to fight but wasn’t strong enough or alert enough or in a position to last very long. A stab to any of our major organs kills us in seconds. This is all opinion based on various statements.

I feel like we’ve been kicking this around since November and will be glad to finally have the facts. I’ve posted many times about the mall stabbing in Australia and how quickly that huge man collapsed. Something this traumatic causes the body to go to survival mode. Every ounce of energy goes to trying to live or to shield the brain from the awareness of death. No time to scream, or call anyone. They never had a chance.

Imagine someone bursting into your room and stabbing you at this very moment. You have maybe 4 seconds to act. If you had a loaded gun under your pillow, or a place to jump, maybe a tiny chance of surviving.

I don’t think the device next door picked up a thump or any sound from inside the house. Just my opinion. Everyone wants to solve the mystery—myself included—but our facts are few. I do hope the trial answers some of these questions. And I hope that someday there’s a way to prevent this type of thing from happening.again, just my opinion.

Saturday, Sept. 16 at 10/9c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

I'm not really sure what they can add other than some new details that the Goncalves and Xana's sister and dad may add. I think that will be important to hear.

“There’s evidence to show that she awakened and tried to get out of that situation, [but] she was assaulted and stabbed,” Steve Goncalves told CBS News’ Peter Van Santof his daughter, Kaylee Goncalves.
When the assailant turned on Kaylee, she was stuck between the body of her friend and the wall, Kristi added. ... “The bed was up against the wall. The headboard was touching the wall and the left side of the bed was touching the wall. And we believe that Maddie was on the outside and Kaylee was on the inside,” the grieving mother explained."

and

"Jazzmin and her father, Jeffrey Kernodle, spoke with Van Sant in "The Night of the Idaho Murders," airing Saturday, Sept. 16, at 10/9c on CBS, and streaming on Paramount+. Van Sant asked Jeffrey Kernodle about reports that his daughter, Xana, fought back against the attacker.

"I believe so," Kernodle replied. "It's upsetting to think about."

Plus at least one of his sisters has no illusions about him - the one who suspicious enough of him to search his car over Christmas.

They have phone contact it was also reported. Latah County jail has video visitation.

Can you even imagine the mob mentality (mainly by the media) if they were to show up in person? I'm not surprised they haven't been to see him in person. Plus, they are still recovering financially and emotionally from that tactical assault on their home when they arrested BK and the enormity of what BK is charged with.

I feel like these parents are not blinded by BK and what he may have done in the past or even what may have happened here in this case. You can love your (adult) child without condoning their illegal behavior IMO.

I still think there is something to the fact that they had to testify at the PA Grand Jury, which the finding were shared with ID. Still nags at me.

I just checked and it would cost over $800 and up to make a weekend round trip by air, booking 30 days ahead. They are humble people and I doubt they could afford that even if they wanted to. Certainly not very often. Including food and lodging, it would probably cost almost as much to drive it and it would be brutal to make that drive very often.

Yes, I was never really sure what that was about. We'll find out, one day.
