IIRC the family had financial problems before Caylee went missing.
Also no one works anymore........right?
They have been living off baby Caylee's pictures etc.
I personally do not feel sorry for the family at all.
JMOO

Lee works, and states he refuses to take money off of the case. Other than that....you're right.

I wonder if they are/were expecting a free ride?

Why of course believe09! In their mind, they are 'entitled'. :tsktsk:

Seriously, they are upside down in this house and it wouldn't surprise me a bit for them to ride this out..then, use their stashed away blood money to pay cash for a new place whether it's together or separately. Prolly counting on their book, movie deal 'eggs' before they're 'hatched'...jmo and all..

I know it may sound terrible, but I'm still hoping that the A's may be taking up residency behind bars at some point in the not too distant future..

I can think of one job GA has had in the past that would welcome people stopping by just to get a glimpse of GA. A car dealership. The more people the merrier and maybe they may get a chance to sell a car. Please. He could work as a janitor at night and no one would be bothering him there. They thought they were going to make a living off the Foundation that was set up. GA said he wanted to be actively involved in finding missing children. It did not work out, so go out and get a job. As far as CA. I think I would have paid my mortgage before I would have paid a hairdresser. Or, just go back to work.

Maybe CA just wants out of the house. Too many memories and why keep it now. Let it go and move on. And the house would sell. It's a nice home and believe it or not someone would love to have it. JMO

People say with an upside down mortgage sometimes it makes sense to just walk away. Doesn't foreclosure ruin your credit rating?
It does make good sense sometimes no doubt about it.
It creates a ding for a while, but so many people are going through foreclosure that it probably won't be that big of a deal in the future.
Obama's help for homeowners prgrams should be able to fix this problem so I suspect the default will be cured if they want it to be. There are plenty of programs and they can spread the default amount over a period of time so it is fixable. but if they want out of the house then they won't cure it and they can move on.
The fact that it is not a purchase money loan but it is a refinace money loan could possibly have an impact on their ability to fix, not sure about Florida.

The Anthony's last known TV appearance was on the Today Show, December 15, 2009.

According to those links the last four years of payments are made, apparantly by the mortgage company (which I think is a requirement if you have PMI, that they are rolled together).

Looks like the last four years have been paid in the last week of November.
I am not seeing that they are in arrears or have a payment due today?

Look at the second link provided in the upper left hand corner it says: Date: 2/23/2010 . What would 2/23/10 indicate?

I pay my taxes seperate from my mortgage. If the mortgage company hasn't received a mortgate payment since June 2009, then how would the mortgage company pay the property taxes?

I am having a "senior moment overload day".

Gosh did I see the payment was 785? working backwards would n't that represent just an amortized principal payment only at about 6.5 for 30 years back in 2005? Can that possibly include TI as well?
I cannot see that 785 covering everything. Maybe that is not the whole payment but just the PI?
I have a copy of the mortgage I will look at it when I get a chance. Unless they got a super low rate or an IO payment or something. I guess there were lots of programs in 2005 so i will do some research.

JBean, I have to tell you these new 'Obama programs' are not worth :twocents: imo. My house was going into foreclosure in 2008 when I lost my job, (and it's just me in my household) and trying to talk to the mortgage co. was THE MOST FRUSTRATING thing I do believe that I have ever had to deal with. I was told so many different things and each person I talked to told me something different. Finally, we reached an agreement and I was paying what I was supposed to ..$2500.00 and 3 pmts pd on time, then they would modify. Right before it was time to make the 3rd pmt Wells Fargo changed it and wanted a payment and a half for the next 12 months, an impossible feat on the income I had.

To make a long story short, if it hadn't been for my Son in Law (who is an attorney, but this was not his field) I would have thrown my hands up and prolly walked away. It took 3 months for him to get WF attorney to return his call and even then WF attorney had no idea what was going on. SIL had to file breach of contract to get their attention and TG it worked. Now they are paying part of his atty fees. Last but not least tho, these 'new programs' helped me not at all..The only people that I know of they have benefited from them are some that had barely qualified to begin with and had high or variable APR's, it seems the rest of us don't matter..:banghead:

I don't know if the site updates daily to show the date that you printed the data from their site.

The mortgage company will keep the taxes current because they are going to have to pay them when they get the property back anyway. They are maintaining their primary position on the property.

If you let your insurance lapse they will add that on and pay it themselves as well. It is just about protecting their investment.

However the night janitor thing makes sense. Graveyard shifts until things settle.

The bank will prolly have a hard time selling that house. I couldn't live there. My kids would think it is haunted like the property down the street. IMO

Yep, they did pay mine in 2008. I did make pmts. for about 7 mths of that year though. I mentioned earlier that they never pay my taxes on time though which always irritated me because it seems like they pay them every year in Nov or Dec (they are due earlier in the year) and then I wonder if the late fee is also something that I am paying. :waitasec: Never have understood it and I have called the tax office about it...only to be told not to worry about it...oy vey..

According to a post in this thread they refied 121k four years ago, according to a mortgage calculator if they got 5% during the refi frenzy, 785 would include principle, interest, pmi, and property taxes.

Probably 6.5 were for jumbo loans and your estimated 5% would be more accurate.

I had no clue that the mortgage company would pay the property taxes even though the mortgage is not paid. Where can I read up on this information?

Not sure if this has been talked about as I haven't read every post yet. If the Anthony's do a "short sale" they can still have a deficiency judgment against them for the difference owed.

With the overwhelming losses that mortgage lenders have suffered from the foreclosure crisis, more and more lenders are willing to accept a short sale option instead of filing for foreclosure. And yes the A's would be responsible for the deficiency.

My best friend avoided foreclosure when she and her lender agreed on a short sale. She did not have to make any mortgage payments during that time. Any short sale contract includes a contingency where the bank must approve the sale.

I think the bulk depositers that are paying on a large number of parcels like a mortgage company would have staggered dates coming in the following 30 days that personal payments are received/due.

Hmmm...I had just completed grueling treatment for Stage 4 (as bad as it gets) cancer and my husband had just gone thru quadruple heart bypass surgery with serious complications. We truly could not work. It took Bank of America 3 months to file foreclosure papers on us. In that last 4th month, I worked, not 1, but 2 jobs (my hair still hadn't grown back from the chemo) and my husband worked overtime and we got to keep our house. We did not go on cruises or wallow in self-pity. We worked our tail feathers off. I have no sympathy for these people at all.

Grrrr....

Blessings sent your way
