The Disability Insurance Plans her company has probably provides for 2 years of coverage, the monthly $ amount paid depends on the level of coverage the employee wants to buy- but the coverage is reviewed monthly as to continued medical necessity, so she may well have been discontinued - specially when they saw her gadding around on a cruise, having a fine time...

They could always get a job. There are several contributors to this site who have suffered the anguish of a murder in their family- I haven't heard them say they resigned from work for life after it happened, they go on making ends meet by working.

Not to be a smart a@@, but would you hire either one of them?

Top 10 ways to be sure you lose your home
1-Quit your job
2-Stop paying your mortgage
3-Buy a new wardrobe
4-Buy new gaudy jewelry
5-Go on a cruise
6-Expect John Q Public to support you with donations
7-
feel free to add to list

Ohh, no doubt they will just say the mortgage company has it in for 'em because of who their daughter is.. because of who they are. No way did their own actions lead to this, no way!:banghead::sick::loser:

With the overwhelming losses that mortgage lenders have suffered from the foreclosure crisis, more and more lenders are willing to accept a short sale option instead of filing for foreclosure. And yes the A's would be responsible for the deficiency.

My best friend avoided foreclosure when she and her lender agreed on a short sale. She did not have to make any mortgage payments during that time. Any short sale contract includes a contingency where the bank must approve the sale.

Even if the bank approves the "short sale" they can still come after you with a deficiency judgment. In fact this made news on CNN's Money at the beginning of this month. Florida is one of the states mentioned that deficiency judgments are being used in because lenders are losing serious money in that state and are trying to recoup as much as possible (imho). California is one of a few states that doesn't have deficiency judgments as they are "non-recourse".

BANK OF AMERICA.....how ironic!

Gosh, in spite of everything, this makes me feel sad. I am ashamed to admit my first thoughts were critical of the way they've spent their ill begotten money. But to lose your home!!! And the one thing that I found that I had respect for Cindy for was that it appeared she has been a hard worker. Now what will they do?

Call themselves on their own bullsh!t perhaps? Admit they screwed up and then do something to try and fix it? Naw, who am I trying to kid. lol

I guess I'm plain stupid because a $785.00 payment on a home is a great deal to me as everyone I know has payments of $1000.00 or more.
If they do lose their house where will they live for less then $785.00 a month?
I can't see CA's brother Rick letting them move in with him, maybe CA's Mom.

There is "absolutely" no way this foreclosure came about without the A's knowledge. I am wondering why the A's are willing to let go of their home so easily unless their strategy is to make themselves "lawsuit proof" should Caylee's father ever become interested in taking legal action against them. I also wonder whether that cruise ship stopped off in the Cayman Islands and if there was a casino on that ship. I pray that GA is not gambling again. I would imagine losing your house/home is one of life's most devastating events and it certainly is going to put them in the "we have nothing else to lose" category.
What's next?

BBM

Most excellent point. In light of ZG's witness list being released this afternoon (which, by the way, can we say "overkill" on the witnesses from OCS?), this could be a very purposeful move on the part of the A's.

I'm expecting to see a new plea and boo-hoo story up on their CMA Foundation website, 'please help us save our home'.
It seems they will try anything to avoid doing what they should be doing.

I am really starting to think you are right and they plan to ride the "gravy train".

You would think that most people would try to do something. Either pay what they can, work something out with the mortgage company, or put the house up for sale. Something is up. It just makes no sense unless they just want out of the home. JMO

Where are they going to find a place to rent, cheaper than $785.00 a month..? Unless rents are cheap back there..here in CA..can't hardly start for $1000.00 for a decent place at least in my part of the woods..LOL

They should of taken that cruise money an applied it..But OH Wait they deserved that cruise..no sympathy here. they probably have money hidden somewhere to start anew when this whole thing blows over..

I live in Fort Myers, Florida and I pay 1300 dollars a month to live in a decent area. I'm can't imagine Orlando being any different. I would love to pay only 785.00 a month for a decent house in what seems to be a nice neighborhood (with the exception of them living there).

They can always move to Sawgrass apartments #210? Okay, that was really mean of me!

Many lending institutions are doing what they can to keep homes from going into foreclosure these days. They can't afford to have these liabilities on their books. I know a case here in Oregon where the man didn't pay his mortgage for ten months. It went into foreclosure after 90 days, but the transaction wouldn't be completed for ten months. He waited until two weeks before it went to sale and was able to negotiate a lower payment and didn't have to pay back any of the past payments.

Until I see the home is in the name of Bank of America, I'm not going to get too excited about this.

Were they thinking ZFG could get their house?

I see a cindy'ism coming on. "I THOUGHT GEORGE WAS MAKING THOSE PAYMENTS". But instead good ol' George is off doing one of those internet money making scams.

Is this their way of asking for more money? Did they think they were special and the bank would never come after them? I'd sure like to know who's paying Jose B.

WOW ..what have they been doing with their money?
I'm sure that cruise they took with 4 people cost a pretty penny. Along with that gaudy diamond earring that GA has. His tattoo, as poorly done as it was, had to cost at least 200 due to the size and colours. The lavish jewelry covering CA's wrists and arms. Always going to the beauty salon.

Lee is providing for the household, CA's disability can't be all that low considering how many years she's put in for that company. They received at least 20,000 for the 48 hours episode. I don't doubt the A's have made monies off other interviews/pictures/videos, despite them saying otherwise. If they aren't spending money on useless crap, that should have been more than enough to sustain them. GA has never provided so nothing new there.
I don't know how much they are spending on KC's defense (if any) or how much they've put in her acct. but it's got to be a helluva lot less than when she stealing thousands for them over the years. Unfortunately they're saving money by not having Caylee around as well.

I could care less that any of this is happening to the A's. You reap what you sow.
The only person I care for is Caylee, and her getting justice.

I think they just decided they didn't want to live there anymore, but the only way they could get rid of that house was to let the bank take it back. In the meanwhile they live rent free for a year until they kick them out. Cunning as always.

Lee said he moved back home to help out with expenses...do you suppose they mentioned to him that they weren't paying the mortgage?

wow...this came as a surprise to me......hmmm....just weird

I'm only on page 7 of this thread but the one thing that keeps running through my mind, besides agreeing something hinky is up - is - is any part of the house considered a crime scene and would the jury or anyone want to do a tour of it during the trial? If that's the case, would it have to be preserved in any manner by the courts until and during the trial?

Maybe they just can't stand the thought of a whole nation seeing pictures of their home and garden as a murder scene again splashed over national TV when the viewers will not be at sympathetic this time.

Maybe this is an easier way for them to "escape" what they must surely know is coming down the road towards them - the trial, the protesters, a guilty plea - I can't see them staying in the house during and after that. Why not throw it away and keep your cash stashed - I can imagine them thinking that. Whatever is going on - it won't be straightforward - after all these are the Anthonys.

All of the A's were playing their games, but that's over now. The house of cards has finally begun to fall in...

Were they thinking ZFG could get their house?

If ZFG were successful in winning a judgement against the Anthony's (G and C) she could place a lien against any equity in their home.....but they have none. Plus.......she is suing KC not her parents. I doubt they were taking any action to keep money away from anyone....well....except the bank.

I can hear it now......."didn't Jose send those payments in??? He said he did".
