Not to be a smart a@@, but would you hire either one of them?

Not me, I want people with good character, but as I previously stated, Cindy could get a job working from home, or as a Travel Nurse where No One would know of her . Work is plentiful for RN's - it may not be what you want or where you want or the shift you want but it will pay your mortgage and support your family in comfort .
Both are using the notoriety thing as an excuse. There are lots of unsavory characters out there working for a living...

I could see them simply not making the payment because they were mad that they continued to pursue the check fraud charges. Kinda like, well if you don't drop the charges, I'm not paying. Yeah, I can see them doing something like that.

But, I stand by my first assumption. They're looking for sympathy and expecting someone to bail them out.

I'm sure that cruise they took with 4 people cost a pretty penny. Along with that gaudy diamond earring that GA has. His tattoo, as poorly done as it was, had to cost at least 200 due to the size and colours. The lavish jewelry covering CA's wrists and arms. Always going to the beauty salon.

Lee is providing for the household, CA's disability can't be all that low considering how many years she's put in for that company. They received at least 20,000 for the 48 hours episode. I don't doubt the A's have made monies off other interviews/pictures/videos, despite them saying otherwise. If they aren't spending money on useless crap, that should have been more than enough to sustain them. GA has never provided so nothing new there.
I don't know how much they are spending on KC's defense (if any) or how much they've put in her acct. but it's got to be a helluva lot less than when she stealing thousands for them over the years. Unfortunately they're saving money by not having Caylee around as well.

I could care less that any of this is happening to the A's. You reap what you sow.
The only person I care for is Caylee, and her getting justice.

Assuming CA made between $50 and 60K (or more) as a Nurse Manager for a Home Health Agency, her disability pay from an employer policy will pay her around 60% ( or more) of that for 2 years if she meets medical criteria. More than many people have to live on. Then she will either have to apply for SSI disability or find a job.
Add in all the payments they have received for 'licensing fees' and there is no reason not to meet their obligations. They have no legal fees according to BC- he's working Pro Bono isn't he? Since they are at home all the time they could start by selling one of the cars.... things normal people do to conserve funds.

Lee said he moved back home to help out with expenses...do you suppose they mentioned to him that they weren't paying the mortgage?

It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't. This family has an endless history of lying to one another and keeping secrets from each other.

It's don't ask don't tell in the immediate A family.

also question if this could also be an attempt to forego all potential lawsuits regarding what she has said of others (the blame game they have done)--reduce what is in their name...

also kind of wonder if we will now see kc file papers of indigent???:waitasec:

IMO, Cindy would never let her internet coverage lapse.

Can't help but to wonder how long they will continue to blame the outcome of their own poor choices on their daughter.

It's not their daughter they blame (she's perfect according to them), they blame everyone else.

Without going into a loooooooooooooooong drawn out post.....allow me to expand on what another poster discussed. The mortgage bail out programs are NOT working.....banks claim to want to work with their mtg clients who are having financial problems but the banks also want their money.

If the Anthony's were paying their mtg payments and for whatever reason began to have problems paying on time, they may have called BOA to ask for help. Many customers call to ask for a new payment, or a grace period as opposed to letting a house go back. When they refinanced in 2005 property values were SIGNIFICANTLY higher so they borrowed as much as they could within their loan parameters.

Now.....with housing values dropping daily they are indeed "upside down". Orlando has an enormous foreclosure problem. I have family there....when they moved to a different area they actually took a loss on the house in order to get out and sell it. They were lucky enough to have the money to BRING to closing as the seller.

IF the Anthony's want to renegotiate their mtg terms the banks won't even consider it unless they are already behind. While is makes no sense to force someone to pay late in order to prove they really need the help, it does make sense that a bank doesn't want customers who CAN pay to just ask and receive lower payments because they WANT them. The bank counts on the interest.

As overloaded as banks are in their delinquency control, what may have been anticipated as a 3-4 month process by either party could easily draw out for 9 months or more. Banks do not want the houses and I suspect that the Anthony's do not plan to move, but that this was just part of an effort to renegotiate their loan amount and payment.

Even though the bank may work with a client and it end up being settled, they still have to file foreclosure in the event that it does not. I have seen people literally run up the steps of the courthouse with their check minutes before an auction has started.

If the Anthony's want to walk away....then why wouldn't they stay in the house rent free until the very last minute? While the Anthony's are high profile and this housing scenario plays into an already drama filled case.......their situation is really no different from the 25% of the Orlando home population in the exact same situation. Well...minus a daughter accused of murder.

I guess what I am trying to say is that it is not likely nearly as salacious as we would like to speculate.

Yes, can one of our local members please check the MLS and see if the house is indeed listed for sale? Someone was joking earlier about maybe LP could buy it. That would not surprise me since he said he has bought mom and pop Croslin a car, is going to get his brother to employ them in his sheet rock or drywall company and relocate them all to Cali.

You just can't make this stuff up!

CA did tell LDB during her State depo that she gave 5 grand to Brad and used the rest on bills and things (but apparently not their house payment)

I agree with what Lola says. I think they haven't paid throughout the months because they don't feel that they should have to. Their sense of entitlement leads me to believe this.

And yes, selling one of your cars when there is no shortage of cars at that household (like one of the detectives said)... is what normal people do. Normal people also try to save as much as they can, only buying necessities. They try to go back to work eventually after a love one has passed. Sure it takes time, but at least try... even part time for crying out loud. It would sure help distract them for the time being.

But nothing the A's have ever done have made sense. Why should it now?

Whaaat? He should just adopt them all and be done with it!

IIRC, wasn't the judge handling ZFG's civil lawsuit, also busy settling foreclosed houses?

Wouldn't that be some weird karma if he was in charge of throwing the anthony's out of their home.

Buying the a's house to look for evidence sounds like a great idea!

I have to say that, in their shoes, I would probably let the house go too. Maybe that's not honorable, but they will have no peace living there no matter the outcome of the trial. I would make the clean break from the property as well. Of course, I would have a place to move into first, for which I hope they have squirrled away some money. Cindy doesn't strike me a a homeless shelter type.

Holy Homeless on Hopespring!

Hopefully no one will throw them into the woods on Suburban like trash.

This is so typiical of the A's. They had'nt paid their mortgage for nine months and
now they say they did'nt know the house would go into foreclosure. Truth is
not in their makeup. I have to wonder if by blaming this problem on the lose of their
grandchild, they may be looking for a sugar daddy like their killer dgtr. was able to get.
(for just a little while though) IMO
Dear sweet little Caylee. Her mother brought harm to her and her grandparents are
still using her for their gains.

People say with an upside down mortgage sometimes it makes sense to just walk away. Doesn't foreclosure ruin your credit rating?

Years back, my folks filed for bankruptcy. It affected their credit for years.
My mother in one of her usual get out of dodge moves when her life changed after their divorce, decided to spitefully and underhandedly stop making payments and let the house we all called home 15+ yrs go.
My oldest brother would have liked to have it, my father would have liked to take over the mortgage payments...

That was 10 yrs ago. Now, she is pretty much a gypsy who leaves her belongings behind and bounces from family member to family member (including her ex husband who takes her in every time without question and helps her get back on her feet), state to state when she decides to up and leave.
She whines and complains what a huge mistake it was now, and she clearly still has not learned her lesson. So Torismom, I don't see this being much of a learning lesson for the Anthony's.

By the way, those payments... on a 3 bedroom, two story New England home built in the late 1800's, with a sun room that had been frequently used as a 4th bedroom, beautiful finished hardwood ceilings and a large fenced in back yard were less than $500 a month :snooty:
