B - the State has some kind of lien on the property would be my guess

It looks to me that the additional defendants are parties that have liens on the property.

State of FL could be either that GA/CA have not paid property taxes on the house or that GA/CA perhaps owe income tax that has not been paid.

Homeowner's Association - GA/CA have probably not paid Homeowner's Assocation dues and the Association has placed a lien on the house to recoveer money owed. (That's what my HOA does when someone hasn't paid).

Guaranty Co. - GA/CA could have a home equity or personal loan secured by the house possibly used to buy a car.

the two unnamed defendents are interesting.

"Unnamed parties in possession" is just CYA in case anyone might be living there as a tenant.

I really am not familiar with Florida property laws, except that I'm 100% certain they are different from Arizona property laws. ;)

But I don't believe the B of A would have allowed a mortgage in Cindy's name alone if George was on the title--unless George signed off on the use of the home as collateral. Which he might have done.

We have moved seven times with my husband's job. In one state, the loan was in his name alone but the title was in both our names. I think it was in GA. I didn't work so I never really thought about it. I don't even know why it was done that way but there was no problem doing it.

Absolutely NO snarkiness intended when I say this, but I am surprised that the Anthony's church hasn't helped them out.

Where I live, the unemployment rate is over 11% and foreclosure rates are at a record high. I know many churches are doing what they can to help dedicated members.

I just checked zillow.com and a house recently sold for $85,000 (4827 Hopespring Drive). Four bedrooms, two baths, 1,1510 sq ft, built in 1985. It appears to have an inground pool too which is much more expensive than an above ground like the As.

It's my understanding the As have no equity in their home and their mortgage is $121,000 (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

This makes me question even more if this foreclosure was planned.

I know from looking at properties in my neighborhood and properties that have been sold by the builder that I work for, Zillow sometimes only picks up how much was borrowed by the buyer. Not always how much the property actually sold for. I know for a fact how much the contract is written for in some instances and the "sold for" listed is MUCH lower. Then I look at the closing docs and find that the listed amount is only the "borrowed" amount.

Thanks. Zillow is very misleading because it said "Recently Sold: $85,000." I believe you though so I deleted my post. I don't want to put any false information out there.

I've already admitted I know nothing about Florida property law, but I did notice the appraisal attached to that media story as well, and yeah I agree the property appears to be fully financed.

I'm aware many of the minimal (0%?) downpayment incentives are for NEW home purchases, but to me it would be unusual if homeowners could remortgage 100% of their property value at a later date. But I don't know for sure...

Are you aware of refinance/equity requirements?

Otherwise I'll see what I can spot on BofA's website.

FWIW...in FL. you do not have to be listed on the loan to be on the title of a home. In the case of a husband and wife, GA / CA would be listed on the title....as a primary home GA would have to sign the "mortgage" which states he is aware that there is a mortgage lien against the home, but if his income / assets/ credit were not used in qualifying for the loan itself, he would not be listed on the note. The note is what shows how much money is owed and the terms of repayment. I hope that explains it a little more.

ETA......GA is not on the title, only CA. He did sign the mortgage but not the note. See my links and info in post 602

Weren't they in foreclosure at KC's bond hearing. My memory could be wrong, but, I thought there was something about this then?

I seem to recall something about this too....although my recollection is not that they were already in foreclosure but that they were "behind" in house payments?

BBM....that is right.
By signing the BOA "mortgage" GA gives permission for his primary residence to be used as the loan collateral. He did not need to sign the note which covers repayment. He is allowed to be on the title.

They had an issue with cc payments IIRC.

Now this is down right weird! We have how many people now connected to KC's defense in foreclosure??? It's like it's planned out with all of them I swear!

moo

Or could just be "reap what you sow".

The latter I believe. Karmic revenge has no intention of sitting back and allowing the snail pace of the Florida Judicial System to gradually get justice for Caylee IMO.
Personally I believe the A's are telling the truth about their inability to find work. I wouldn't hire either of them. I also wouldn't hire anybody associated with them, nor would I support their businesses and I think I'm in a majority on that. Look how quickly Oprah cancelled them.
Yup Karma waited 2 years, as long as Caylee lived.

Anybody else getting a little angry at the comment that they can't lose the house because it was the only place Caylee ever lived? Is this an admission there was no living at Zanny's?
Caylee probably should have never been living there to start and wouldn't have been if she was conceived by a mother fit to raise her.

For those familiar with me posts and/or blogs, I never blame the wreckage of my past on anyone but me. Even with 6 years clean*, a degree and an engineering certification, coupled with a stellar (and verifiable) attendance record, it is hard for me to find steady work. Trust me, once popped some NEVER let you pay your so-called "debt to society" and I am OK with that. However, I am almost always one bad month away from homelessness (ONCE was enough, thank you) and jail if I miss child support. I expect no parade for finally controlling an appetite for drugs and violence. My point? Life is tough, scooter, get used to it. As a consultant I can have a month that pays what would take 6 to earn if at a minimum wage job. Then I may go the next 3 months without work. How do I pay support and keep a roof over me head? Well, at least the rules are easy. I stay off the drugs, trust God, and LIVE WITHIN MY MEANS.

Keeping an eye on the WS TOS, let's just say Caylee's grandparents got a real taste of American generosity when the story first broke. That anomalous rain of cash was not going to last forever. If anyone thought it was, they were foolish. Notoriety does not equal fame, and even "fame" can be tough to cash in on. Ask any one hit wonder about that supposition. Whether that alleged foundation was/is an attempt to keep the dineros flowing is between them, God, and the IRS.

My point? Certain figures in that tragio-comedy were not fiscally jurisprudent 20 years ago and seemingly learned nothing from losing a home (among other things) previously. Trust me, or don't, but this board and this country are full of folks like the poster with cancer and a hubby with a bum ticker. Knocked on our metaphorical dupas, we get up, dust ourselves off, and drive on. This is NOT a dig at the posters who expressed sympathy, far from it. I wish I could be as philosophically charitable as you. If I could get $20K for a picture of me little brother who dusted himself, I could BUY a house in my current less than fashionable neighborhood.

In closing, karma does indeed have very sharp teeth. Shaking off the bad karma I brought upon my lonesome has taken YEARS of living right and the road ahead is still a long one. Reaping the harvest one has sown is more than a religious platitude 🤬🤬🤬 cliche. It is a time tested maxim. The first step, were I in a similar situation, would be to look into a mirror instead of a TV camera. Hopefully this post has caused some to think about the points covered. Charity to all and malice towards none is a good stance but should be grounded in reality.

Here's some interesting timing...They stopped paying mortgage after 6/09. In 7/09 Lee forwarded emails to his attorney and the emails were released in 9/09 to the public. These were the emails with the wacky page of an "older looking Caylee (not) and other info from D. Casey and CA. I may be wrong but I seem to recall the fact that the A's had been asked for this stuff and never been given it (I could be completely wrong on that). In any event, I wonder if this caused a rift and I would still like to know when Lee actually moved out.

ThommyMac, congrats on your sobriety! It is obvious from your post that you have worked hard and done the introspection necessary to grow into the responsible person you are today. you should be so proud! yayyyy for you!

Cindy is collecting disability and it wouldn't surprise me if George is also collecting disability because of his suicide attempt. Lee moved in to help them with paying bills. They received money for interviews and pictures.
What have they been doing with their money?? Are they expecting to receive donations ?? Very, very puzzling.

Interesting! Given CA's restless mind always working the angles, recreating history with mistruths and half truths and, the complete focus on trying to save KC .... it would get to me.

It is one thing to support KC and remain neutral but it is a complete other to go to the lengths that CA seems to, day after day after day. It would wear you out.

You'd eventually come to an acceptance over Caylee's demise and KC's involvement and want to move on, heal and, let the cards fall. CA's appetite to champion her cause must both destroy any hope for a normal life as well as further erode any parental respect/value for LA ... so I'd crack and need to get away. CA is consumed by protectiveness for princess KC to the exclusion of all others.

I can't imagine the suffering of the Anthony family. To have to leave behind the house they shared with Caylee will/would obviously be terrible for them. My thoughts are with them, (and with all people losing their homes in these times of course).
