Yes he is in his early thirties, he will served 25 years (85%) of his time possibly of that for 1st degree plus 10 years (again 85%) for other charges so 35 years -30% ...don't quote me but that's how I think this works

I thought i would be less angry when this was over, but I'm not. Mad at Heeney's inability to understand that Rafferty's searches were more than him just being a pervert. Mad at the joke of 10 years for kidnapping and raping someone. Mad at concurrent sentencing. Mad that MR might be paroled when Tori should have been in her early 30s. Mad that D has to grow up without his baby sister. Mad that MR said he was not guilty.

Happy that Rodney called him a in open court. Happy that the jury got it right, no thanks to the judge.

Well I did not suspect that he would get up and say "Ok guys, you got me, I did it". However I did not think he would still proclaim his innocence. Wonder who he thinks is still buying his **** anymore?

Maybe he's hoping there are still some out there who believes him. His family? Does he have any friends left? Doubt it. I'm not surprised he still claims to be innocent.

Derstine's role was to ensure MR had a fair trial with very, very slim chance of grounds for appeal. That was accomplished IMO. Watch some of Derstine's comments...he says a lot by not saying much at all.

We'll have to agree to disagree. The fact that he objected to the child , in my opinion, disgusts me. So does the Judge for not allowing it in.

Maybe we should blame the law for not being able to be understood by the common human being?

We should be blaming LE for not obtaining the proper warrant to allow the evidence in the first place. The seizure of the laptop had been questioned by a superior officer asking if the proper warrant had in fact been issued, it was ignored and that is why the evidence was suppressed. At the end of it all it wasn't necessary as the jury convicted on the assault without it.

I hope the admission that he is guilty of MANY other crimes for which he feels great shame.... I hope that bites him in the when his parole hearing rolls around. So busy trying to manipulate emotions and maintain his innocence in regards to Tori he admitted additional crimes. LOL That makes me feel a little bit better about the life sentence that isn't really a life sentence.
