Forward said the assault was McClintic's tenth conviction for violence and wanted a six month sentence to reflect the seriousness of the event that was planned, unprovoked and continued even when the victim was cowering for protection.

It would also be on her record if McClintic planned to apply for parole under the faint hope clause after serving 15 years

Oh how I wish we had the death penalty.....there is no chance of rehabilitating this This is her 1oth conviction for assault, she shows no remorse for her actions, but yet we spend our hard earned tax dollars on these scum bags. Work hard everyone, these inmates are depending on us to TRY to rehabilitate, educate, house and live on our dime!!!!! How many convictions are they going to allow her to have before putting her in isolation forever....what a wastecase!!!!!!

When it is time for parole, this assault will be considered. I do not think she will ever get out. And I do believe she will do it again... I don't think she wants out.

Seems to me AM didn't know better then to talk ***** behind bars. That's what happens when you bad mouth another inmate. I highly doubt it was "completely uprovoked". AM instigated the beating she received and she doesn't want other inmates to know that, that's why she wouldn't talk to the Crown. I'm not saying she deserved it but she should've known better. Maybe now she will keep her mouth shut regarding other inmates. TLM is a monster no doubt in my mind. I am assuming TLM was trying to let other inmates know not to mess with her and will continue to do so unless she is put into solitary confinement. I find it totally ridiculous that she isn't in solitary confinement WTH. TLM sure led a messed up life all thanks to her adoptive mother. She has learned to survive through violence, which seemed to be the main factor she was brought up with and her survivor tool. It now seems obvious why she abducted Tori for MR. As she stated herself, she couldn't believe she had found a good man, someone she believed loved her. (Something she had never known before IMO). It's so overwhelming when you look back on her life and take in some of what she went through as a child and teen. I certainly am not making excuses for everything evil TLM has done, I'm just not surprised she showed violence and will continue to show it while incarcerated as long as she is able to mingle with other inmates.

TLM and AM are exactly where they belong and hopefully they will never be released back into society. Both are evil. IMHO from what I have read regarding AM, she does not deserve another trial. She set the ball in motion for the murder of her ex boyfriend and helped the the murderers.

Canada could bring back the death penalty if the guards would just turn their backs, kwim. :floorlaugh::yesss: Yes very much indeed a waste of money which could be used to spruce up our education or healthcare system.

IMHO TLM and AM deserve each other. Throw them in a cell together and weld it shut lmao. They are both cut from the same cloth; one is no better or worse then the other. Pure evil murderesses. All JMHO.

Terri-Lynne McClintic, 22, was facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm for what the Crown called a "completely unprovoked" attack at Grand Valley Institution for Women, but instead pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault.

Crown attorney Julia Forward told court that the victim, Aimee McIntyre, was no longer co-operating with the Crown, so they couldn't prove certain bodily harm such as headaches she had earlier complained of having since the attack.

“She seems to have some pretty deep-seeded anger,” Westman said adding that as time passes, “she feels bad.”

“My only hope for you is that you will try the best you can to have a more civil attitude to fellow human beings ... Violence is not the answer.”

I don't believe for a second that it was unprovoked. From what we know about TLM, she snaps when threatened. Her life has been nothing short of a nightmare, and it is how she protects herself. It appears that the assault happened after TLM 'confessed' to murdering Tori (I don't believe she did it, but that isn't the point). AM said something, it got back to TLM, she flipped out and assaulted AM. I am not saying TLM was right (violence never is), but AM should have known what would happen when she opened her mouth. And I don't feel bad for the murderess at all. AM is no better than TLM.
So, basically, swedie, I completely agree with your first paragraph.

TLM seems to know when she is doing something wrong. She can't seem to help herself, though. Not only is the public better off where she is, but she is better off where she is.

So there we have it. It was provoked. AM was talking carp about TLM to other inmates and it got back to TLM. The beating was premeditated which tells me TLM just didn't fly off the handle, she knew what she was going to do to AM. TLM just wants other inmates to know not to mess with her. She wants to be at the top of the ladder, like the Queen B. I'm sure this will not be the last we hear about TLM and her troubles/violence behind bars. As far as the 10 other assault charges, most of them where brought out during her testimony on the stand at MR's trial. Makes me angry and sick to know AM has been granted a new trial. Another waste of money and she may end up free to walk the streets again. What's this BS about judges making errors? How about the evidence speaks for itself. TLM and AM are exactly where they belong and should remain for the rest of their pathetic lives. IMHO any woman sentenced to life should be segregated from the rest of the inmates just like in male prisons. MHO.

In the profanity-laced letter McClintic recounts that she confronted McIntyre about something she had said about her, and detailed the assault, saying she “got in at least a couple shots, good ones, like one or two decent face shots.”

At that point, “out of the blue,” McClintic pounced on McIntyre, said Forward, “kicking her, striking her body and her head.’’ McIntyre did not defend herself or retaliate, said Forward, who submitted photos showing the victim’s heavily bruised face and blackened eye. It took half a dozen guards to pull McClintic off McIntyre.

The two men pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Ironically, McIntyre went down on first-degree. However, she’s since been granted a new trial. The Court of Appeal for Ontario in May ruled that the trial judge had made several errors.

Who is that twit who was saying that she is adapting to life in prison? Violence is how TLM adapts. She will get worse as time goes on, just as she did when she was a free woman. She hasn't changed.

Maybe it's just me, but her hair looks darker in that picture than it did before, almost like she is dying it. I hope she isn't getting money to do that. I wish they could lock her up and throw away the key or at least put her in solitary. I hate seeing this monster's face in the news, I hate seeing her get attention. IMO this TLM story doesn't warrant any attention at all. What she did is not surprising to me. Prison fights happen. The injuries I saw in the news clip are not shocking. She hurt someone who pizzed her off. This happens to people. I want to know what's going on with the other liar. The with the 'true story' of what happened, but didn't tell it on the stand. JMO

IMO the bruises on AM are nothing compared to what the media makes it out to be. I thought there would have been much more damage to AM. Yes this stuff happens in prisons. The fact it's TLM is what made it newsworthy. It makes me happy to see her making the news in this way, just helps to keep her behind bars longer. No faint hope for her hahaha. I begrudge the thought of peoples' hard earned money going to waste on her or any of these though. Maybe one day TLM will cross paths with a couple of inmates serving life sentences also, who have nothing to lose and will put her out of her misery for good if you kwim. Hoping the same for the other sitting in solitary in KP. They deserve what they get.

Sure hope she is not being afforded contact lenses either. I realize she probably doesn't wear them on a regular basis but when she attended MR's trial, she had glasses on in the courtroom sketches and also in the photo of her in the back of the police vehicle.

FlipFlop I would love to hear what CM has to say. I guess there was no bidders knocking on her door. Either that or she no longer walks this earth. I guess no one is interested in writing a book regarding these two scumbags. I never thought MR was a loner, just thought he was a user of the many women he encountered. She just refused to believe she had a monster for a son. Funny how she would go on national TV and blame TLM for what happened as we know it was all MR's idea to abduct a little girl for his own sexual perverse reasons just as judge Heeney summed it up. About the Oxys (bottles) found in his bedroom, I'm sure he cried to him mommy a lot about back problem he claimed to have and sucks his Dr. into giving him a prescription for Oxys. This was his cover up for his drug use, dealings and lack of employment. I bet the only thing his mother didn't know was how he used CharityS for money. If she would have known that, I'm sure she wouldn't have allowed him to mooch off of her financially. I hope she has come to the realization of how evil her son is and has cut off all communication with him and moved on to a happier life. One of the largest studies of sexual killers ever undertaken in Canada has turned up some surprising findings about how socially normal they may actually appear.

Contrary to previous research, B.C. criminologist Eric Beauregard says his study's larger sample size shows sexually motivated killers aren't generally loners.

Another surprising finding is that 80 per cent of the killers had no prior sexual convictions, but on average they had 1.7 convictions for violent offences and 7.3 convictions for property offences.

Alan Leschied is a psychologist and professor at Western University, and has been involved with Canada&#8217;s prison system for years.

For 23 hours a day, Rafferty will be confined to his cell. He will eat all of his meals there, and will only have one hour of solitary, supervised outdoor time daily.

He may be allowed access to approved books and a computer so he can type a journal.

Leschied says in cases like this, inmates don&#8217;t have access to education or counselling because they are considered beyond rehabilitation.

thanks for the post again swede...this site draws me back often as I am so sickned by tori's Story...i wish we could have TURNED BACK TIME...I am sure we all would have wished someone could have RESCUED Victoria from such ,,,evil..i think often of her leaving that school and wish i could have grabbed her and taken her home safe and sound!......As far as Rafferty goes he is known within the Richmond hill area as an ODD guy ,...as I used to live very very close to where he grew up... I often ask questions ...many ppl have commented that he was very very strange even as a teenager!..IMO>>>.makes me wonder what else that sicko has done and never was reported!

Interesting and IMPO unnecessary comments here. This is a case of how some people need to MYOB. I am grateful Woodstock Sentinel clarified how this information about Tara's tattoo of Victoria came to light.

My heart breaks for Daryn as there is obviously still hard feelings between his parents. I am sure he spends time on the WWW, and to have to read nonsense like this, it's truly sad. I pray he is still receiving professional help over the tragic loss of his little sister and to understand why some people cannot get along even after something so tragic. I am saddened for Daryn more than any of the others as he is so young and probably still carries the guilt of not being there for his sister that horrible day. On top of that he has to deal with parents who play the blame game on each other. If they have any common sense, they don't do it in his presence. Sadly whatever appears on the WWW is there forever. Heartbreaking to think that Tori is looking down from above and witnessing all that goes on. RIP little one.

The tragic loss of M. Rodrigues' 4 month old son by a twice convicted drunk driver. Tara was in court to support Mary during the sentencing of the woman responsible for killing her baby boy. A reporter was the one who approached Tara about her tattoo.
