Hi all! Yes its been very hot here today. And so windy. I am so sick of the wind. I want to move so bad. I am hating where we live. But we are stuck here forever..:( But were far enough away from these fires, and thats what matters most.

But my gosh these fires are horrible. I feel for all those people that live in those areas. Jbean, I pray your friend is safe. And I hope they can save her home.

A reporter on site just said that the fire is now 30% contained. The weather has cooled considerably--that's important.

humidity has increased, I can feel it. I am sending my son out to shop competition in Riverside tomorrow, so he will have the camera. He'll go right by there, so I'll tell him to snap anything interesting.

Fire seems to be about 80% co9ntained and much tension is relieved to day.

As an aside, I mentioned yesterday that my partner was on his way to the Laker game with his wife and he could see the fire from the 73 tollroad.
The Laker's had their biggest home loss in like 47 years last night.

Our morning news is reporting that the stolen car was set on fire intentionally and that is what started the fire.

We have our very own terrorists at work. Let's hope this doesn't catch on. An arsonist, or two, could create chaos in many areas of the country.

What a mess! Unbelievable! I'm back home now after spending the night at my parents' house. The roof of our house looks like it has a layer of snow. Yuck. Everything is filthy. Even ash all over our oranges and grapefruit. I've got to head to work now.

JBean, do you know if I'll be able to hop onto the 241 South at Santiago Canyon? I'm assuming so.

I'm thankful it's cooler there now and think there is moist air coming in off the Pacific.

I read an article talking about how so many people are really mad at what this fire cost to fight. I sure hope they find some fingerprints in that stolen car so they can nail the pervs! Buzz is right. as with everything so tinder dry anyone who has a mind to could wreck havoc with Ca right now and thru the summer.

The gal in Montana I think who was a forrest ranger and lit that one forrest fire, is she in prison, does anyone know? Scandi
