dark_shadows, I accept your apology, but.......I wish you would have done it before I reported you to the moderator........

LOL dark_shadows, I am just kidding. I'll agree to disagree with you and Mabel. No harm, no foul.

Me? You disagree with me? Shirley you jest.

I know how a Mom feels about her kids. I always say...talk ugly to me or about me....slap me if you must(LOL) but don't you DARE mess with my kids! :D I know that you almost ALWAYS post with kindness. We all get carried away sometimes.:o I know I do when someone posts something about a prisoner whining about his/her treatment. It makes my blood BOIL! I want to smack the loser murderer in their ugly face. Then I have to go back and sometimes erase the post because I have said some horrible things. I really have little pity for people who kill or harm others. :furious: :furious:
Deandaniellws, you are truly an .Thank-you.

Sorry, Buzz, but I'm gonna do battle with you again ;)

I can say that I would not have done the same thing. I've lived in rural areas. I did not allow my children to break laws. The laws exist for a reason, to protect people. No, everyone can't afford to buy a 10 passenger vehicle, but if this mom isn't able to afford a vehicle in which to transport them all safely, why is she adopting them?

No, the girl doesn't sound like a crazy teenager. But the law doesn't say underage unlicensed drivers can haul a bunch of other children around illegally and unrestrained so long as they go to church afterwards.

Judge not? At what point do we draw the line? Perhaps under the same circumstances we'd all be Joseph Duncan. Should we give him a free pass because of that?

If this girl, with the car load full of children, had caused the accident, what would you be saying about the mother right now? It didn't happen, but it very well could have.
Mabel, the first news I heard was that it was seven adopted children. The last, and most recent article I read, said that five were siblings, and other two were their cousins. I don't know how this all fits together, but I can understand that if they are from a poor community, they probably have been driving around with all of them in the car for a long time. It isn't lawful, but it is the way it is.

Deandaniellws,Thank-you for what you have done.
Buzzm1,You stood by your opinion the same as I.
Mabel,You stood by my side with your own opinion.
Thanks to all of you.

And you also. :blowkiss: Sometimes I should stay out of the "small children that are killed or abused threads". Every once in a while I just break down and cry. I want to know why. I am going to ask God that one day. Why...WHY do the little children suffer!?!? I know you are not supposed to ask why. But I do, and I cry. With so many women in the world who want children, and then in the same breath we read of those beaten or thrown in the trash. I just don't understand. And again, the world cries. :(

I've read conflicting reports about their relationships too. I think one thing we can all agree on is that it's a terrible tragedy and the mother, regardless of whether or not her actions contributed to the loss of life, is no doubt hurting beyond anything we can imagine. I'm sure she feels quite a bit of guilt too. Accidents occur in the blink of an eye. My ex husband and I once happened to find ourselves first on the scene of an accident in which two young men had killed themselves joy riding in a souped up car. It was a horrible thing that haunts me to this day. If only it were possible to set the clock back even a few seconds, before foolish decisions are made, before events are set into motion. There is no second chance for the 7 lost children. It's incredibly sad.

Have there been any reports why the driver of the truck didn't see them? Was it a winding road or something like that? I can't even begin to understand how the families of these children will be able to cope with this tragedy.

Buzzm1,I did not think of the poor community aspect until you just posted it.
It reminds me of when New Orleans was told to evacuate. The poor were mainly the ones to suffer. No vehicles to transport the out of the city. Some had no communication to even know that something was wrong.Actions out of poverty were not in my thoughts when I posted.Thank-you.

I wonder when they are going to release the medical info of the children that were thrown from the bus? :(
