I believe wholeheartedly Joe knows alot more info about Haleigh case.....Moo

*IF* there was an alleged drug robbery the weekend before, might Joe have been along for the ride? I think he might know something too but his addy has been all over the internet and well some people might have been legitimately scared..... just thinking out loud. :banghead:

While exciting .... I also believe that this is a red herring distraction.

I don't think LE are fooled by the Croslin lies pointing at Joe and that the focus should remain on Misty and Ron.

When you review the actions and statements of everyone ... Ron, TN, GmaS, Misty then if it was simply Joe with Tommy as an accessory it simply does not make sense.

Misty has not held out this long through all of the scrutiny if it was simply Joe --- and Ron would have not been so verbal on protecting Joe and dispelling accusations against Joe if it was him.

Occam's Razor. This is not complex, it is as simple as those who were in HaLeigh's direct care. Anyone else was *maybe* involved in post cover-up or seeded conspiracy theories.

WOT! I just saw this on JVM (eyes popped wide open). So the swat team goes in (this is highly unusual) and he's detained...yet today he's out on bail? Dos this sound normal to anyone?

ughhhh!

PS: Is this this the stoopid-est group of drug dealers ever? I've never seen so many druggies in one family...right down to grammie.

all that hoopla for a stolen car (?) and some weed?

  • #206
I do not believe Joes involvement from Misty and Tommys accounts just from my own observations, I still believe that Misty has told all she knows and that it isn't much .... moo

  • #207
Back 2 Square 1: one media outlet says he IS a suspect and the other says he is NOT.

  • #208
Wow isn't it amazing how much the bail amounts differ in Tennesee to Florida? I think it is a bunch of (*&*&

Yes it is amazing indeed! In TN a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia is $2,000 bond, apparently. I think the same charge in Punam County FL has a bond of $504.

Here's my take, and MOO: He got busted for pot. Now, maybe I've been out in the West for too long, but that's a "pft!" bust, really. Stealing car isn't good.... I think they are TRYING go bust Joe to get him in to talk. But here's what I don't get: To get him in and talk him out of a pot bust? LOL Uh.... Seems Joe isn't a pill-poppin' kinda guy, but a weed kinda guy, like his cousins were before they went to Satsuma and met those who liked pills. MOO They are grasping at Joe... Not (IMO) because he's the suspect, but because they WANT him to talk and bust who's resonsible. JMO. MOO, etc... yadda.

O/T: Yawl seen Debs?

Applaud post, more than a thanks. And another one to poke for info: That Chelsea/Timmy combo. I think they know sumpin about sumpin, too.

i'm with you dripdrop. it doesn't make sense to call in the SWAT team for some pot and a stolen vehicle. that's just not normal. i thought SWAT was for riots, hostages, snipers, etc. either there is much more to this or they wanted to bring as much attention as possible to the situation. somebody had to tip off the media or how would they know to be there when the SWAT team pulled up and originally went to the door (at least that's the impression i got of the clip i saw on JVM). something just doesn't add up here.

Knee deep in the hoopla................

Seems about right, that weaving his way back into the criminal element he crawled out from. Other than that, pot? A SWAT raid for pot?

I get a mental image of LE swatting back the flies as they wrestle the alligators. Joe is a fly.

Bingo! As much as I know so very many do not think Joe is involved and that this arrest is IN NO WAY related to Haleigh case...

But I believe in my heart of hearts IT IS all related and tied into Haleigh's murder and though I do not believe Joe alone is responsible rather others already incarcerated are involved as well (hence the exact reason that we have yet to hear the ENTIRE TRUTH as to what took place Feb 9, 2009 because in order to get the WHOLE TRUTH they would implicate themselves). JMO

Well, I hope during the execution of a search warrant they are able to find other evidence in the HC murder. If they were able to seize a computer that might be the coffin nail, JMO. :loser:

BTW, I've heard of growing pot, but manufacturing? :waitasec:
My guess is they found some growing, some drying and some already weighed out for sale. Or it was all already grown. :waitasec:

As far as SWAT going in and they bonded out, a few years back we had been living in a nice quiet cul de sac for years, then one neighbor sold their house and a woman bought it and she had one 18 year old son. So to make a long story short, the mom met a man, 18 year old son was left at this house, and he made meth while mom lived with her new boyfriend. Two times out of many calls by the whole cul de sac, the Swat team came, and busted that place and all involved, next day, guess who shows up, each and everyone of them, one by one over the next day or so. Bond amounts are important.

Drugs and stolen cars--LE had to worry that guns couldn't be far behind. SWAT would be routine, I think, as these are felonies.

Cousin of Misty Croslin arrested on drug charges
Man questioned in HaLeigh case, but he is not a suspect

A Tennessee man questioned in the CASE of HaLeigh Cummings has been charged with growing marijuana after police went to his house looking for suspects in an aggravated assault.

Joseph Edward Overstreet, 21, and another man were arrested Sunday in Antioch TN.
Overstreet was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Overstreet, who was in Florida visiting relatives including cousin Misty Croslin the weekend HaLeigh disappeared, has been questioned about that case. Overstreet left to go back to Tennessee a within a day of her going missing.

Chief of Detectives Rick Ryan of the PCSO said barring any new developments they were not planning to interview Overstreet again after this arrest. He has been questioned in the past but not called a suspect.

Justin Blair Hogue, was charged with grand theft, petty theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wow is right! Am I reading this right!!!!!!!!!!!! :waitasec:

"Overstreet was visiting family in Putnam County the night Haleigh vanished. Investigators have said they think he is the key to solving the Haleigh case, which investigators said is now considered a homicide investigation."

Here we go again, one media outlet says that LE thinks he is the key to solving Haleigh's case and other's say LE will not question him again because he is not considered a suspect. The fact that LE will not question him again makes me think that maybe LE truly doesn't feel Joe had anything to do with the Haleigh case. Here is another problem I see with Misty, Tommy, Timmy, and Chelsea's claims about Joe. Joe was staying at Chelsea's that night. She was up late doing insurance paperwork per her words. I think she had just went to be when she got the call about Haleigh and went back to bed? So I am assuming the call was around 4am? Chelsea would know what time Joe would of left her house and if he took her van. She nor Timmy can say for sure if Joe took the van or where he was. We only heard that he was sitting up on the bed half dressed. Could it be the reason Joe was half dressed is because he was in bed and awoke when Chelsea went in to tell him Haleigh was missing.
Why can't Chelsea nor Timmy say for sure if Joe took off that night in the van and at what time? They are only speculating, but why? They both claim to be home how would then not know what Joe was up to?:waitasec: If she was awake how would she not know what Joe was doing that night? Unless the three of them were together? I just don't know anymore. Everyone is lying and it's so frustrating.

The SWAT team was on the scene because of a tip that suspects involved in an aggravated assault case were said to be at Joe's home. This is routine-aggravated assault equals violent criminal(s)-they are there to protect their fellow officers.
