8-23-11. Hearing for protective order

  • #81
I wonder why the Cox's haven't tried to get a family court to give them some visitation rights before now? I realize that GP's in Washington don't usually get special priveledges like that unless the parents allow it, but in this case, Susan can't represent herself since she is missing, and the only parent left is the man who is the number one suspect in her possible murder!

Even if odds are against them, I hope they will at least try. Josh and SP have shown some very troubling behaviors, and that should be considered.

Money is another problem. Custody and visitation battles are expensive! I am sure that there are plenty of people who are concerned for these boys who would be happy to contribute to a legal fund for the Coxes!

Does anyone know of any other reason why they might be hesitant to pursue a case for visitation? Do you think that they are afraid that doing so would anger the Powells so much that the boys would be in danger of being hidden or killed by JP or SP?

I almost skipped the last sentence of this article: "There's a paranoia that has surfaced, the source of which is unknown," Downing (the attorney for Mr. Cox) said.
"Mr. Powell is becoming unhinged"

Very telling, that remark!!!

I agree with you. This is very troubling.

In an earlier video of JP and SP confronting Mr. Cox as he was handing out flyers, JP talks to the media. He looks like he's been missing a few {winks}, PERHAPS this past weekend search in Ely, was bothering him. :waitasec: But he does sound ALMOST {unhinged} when he talks about Mr. Cox and people he's gotten to bother JP.

I think he's getting a little,..............................desparate. Curious for someone who portrayed these searches to the media a few days prior, as a good thing, he's disturbed by flyers with her photo, being distributed.

Course, it's understandable why old SP is upset. After all, his secret life has been uncovered and revealed to the world.

I do wonder if he didn't make a quick trip to Utah during the first days that Susan was missing? PERHAPS the night JP rented a car. A meeting place in Utah to ehh.....MOVE something? ...... Interesting development if you ask me.

Oh, and fwiw, I think Mr. Cox should get a PO on SP, he's seems dangerous to me. Oh, and go for custody of the children and have the entire Washington Powell clan deposed.

Just and idea. Seen it before.

I'm so glad more info is coming out about the Powell case. Just imagine, this has all been kept under-wraps and LE has KNOWN from the beginning about old man P. Wow! Wonder what else we haven't learned? :maddening:

I swear from the beginning of this latest round I have thought there is a turncoat in the Powell Compound and daddy Powells ego won't let him see it and thinks they are getting info from somewhere else.

If Josh is having paranoid delusions, maybe he needs to be evaluated. That would surely be interesting if a family court judge would order it!

I like the way Mr. Cox's lawyer thinks!

It seems the sub-zero camping trip may have ignited a roaring fire in somebody's mind and the smoke is getting to the investigators?????:banghead:

So, let me get this straight. When Mr and Mrs Cox are with the kids at the park, old michael and his sis show up at the park lickety/split to take pictures of them visiting with the grandkids.

But Michael is toooo busy to attend court and submits an affidavit.

Daddy throws his face in front of the cameras, complaining about Mr. Cox et al distributing flyers to help locate missing Susan, and he's toooooo busy to attend court with his son.

I hope the court order includes the rest of the Powell clan from Washington. If not, Mr. Cox might want to take care of that.

I HOPE someone got a picture of Josh at court. I wanna see if he's as whiney as he was in front of the cameras in Utah. ~~squinched eyes~~ puckering mouth~~ then hiding behind his boys.

Oh, yeah, he did that this weekend too, didn't he? Hide behind his kids. Guess they're never too young or too old to use as a shield.

Looks like he has put on a few pounds. A little thicker through the middle than he was when Susan disappeared.

Emotional eater to pacify or one too many smores?
