Prayers to everyone there, an din the path of the waves. I heard that the waves could last as long as six hours once they start. SieSie, I hope you hear of your dad's safety soon.

This is just horrible. :(

My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone in Chile. And prayers for everyone to stay safe in the tsunami warning areas.

CNN just reported that a 8 foot wave is expected to hit Hilo, Hawaii at 4:19pm eastern time.

Well, I talked to my Mom and I won't hear from my Dad today, for sure. I guess the 17 hour train (antique) ride only started last night, so I'm pretty sure, looking at maps, that he is fine and wouldn't have been affected. Can't wait till tomorrow, I'm anxious to hear from him. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! :blowkiss:

Prayers and thoughts going out to the people of Chile and those in the Hawaii/Guam area. We are retired military and did tours in Guam and Hawaii (back to back). Many friends left in both places. Stay safe !

OMG there's a guy out trying to surf! This isn't like a big wave that is surfable. I guess he didn't get the message. :eek:
