8.3 Earthquake in Chile and Tsunami Warnings

I keep watching the real-time data list from the USGS and it is scary... many after-shocks are above 4.0... so many are in the 5 range, with quite a few are in the 6 range!

I'm not at all familiar with earthquakes. Are aftershocks normally this active? I'm seeing 50+, just today, with most being around 5. There was even another at 6.1. I can't even imagine...
