Congratulations, sir, on your victory tonight.

MIKE NIFONG, DURHAM COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY: Thank you.

VAN SUSTEREN: Have you gotten the final numbers in terms of what percentage you won, sir?"

although, Nifong was at the vigil.............hopefully he will take an interest in janet's case..

"I felt I was the best candidate all along, and I'm glad that the people of Durham agree with me," Nifong said. He is unopposed in the fall election.

In unofficial results, Nifong got 45% of the vote. Former prosecutor Freda Black received 42% of the vote. Lawyer Keith Bishop received 13%."

Dang! A very close race. I hope that Nifong, now that he's in there for sure, gets Janet's case in the courtroom. No more of this messing around and not wanting to bring a circumstancial case in the courtroom prior to an election.

And that whole quote--"I felt like I was the best candidate all along?" What's that for? I hope he said that laughing, but that's a little pompous if you ask me.

Congratulations District Attorney Nifong. I hope that now that the elections are over, there will be some concentration on Janet's case and when it gets to the nitty gritty you and your staff will put all your efforts into the prosecution of this case.

Congrats and Godspeed Justice DA Nifong!

Does anyone in Utah know for a fact that Raven is still there? Perhaps he did not attend the vigil because he is no longer in the country? The more time that passes, the easier it would be for him to run and hide.

I don't think he'd run. Here are my reasons:
1. He'd have to take care of Kaiden all by himself
2. He'd lose his benefits (Medicaid, Widower's Benefits, child care incentives, help with rent, etc. because as soon as he'd try to apply for them he'd be found)
3. Cushy job at the bike shop
4. He'd lose his benefits (Seriously this is probably the reason why he doesn't run. I think he's easily getting between $700-800+ a month including everything that he's getting. Free money? Where can Raven sign up?)

As far as I know he's still working at Canyon Cycles and enjoying bike outtings and dating and collecting social security and Widowers Benefits and yet has not paid back the money that he owes to Eurosports.

In August it will be a year and he hasn't paid it back, so truthfully he isn't following the procedures set out by Court in North Carolina for probation.

If he runs, he'll be caught and any family member or friend that helped him will be caught aiding and abetting.

Run Raven run, you'll be caught and then you'll have a snowball chance in (where you are going in your afterlife) to crocodile tear your way out of Justice on Earth.

And 5:
He thinks that he's smarter than everyone else and that he's gotten away with murder.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the vigil and for those that attended in person and in spirit.

It was a very long hard weekend for all of us but worth every minute. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support. Sorry it too so long for me to come back, I only just got home yesterday.

I can't wait to see the family again at trial. It will be a happy day to hear those four simple words.... guilty on all charges.

Back to work tomorrow. I left a huge hunk of my heart in that Marriott hotel. I will never forget meeting Janet's family and friends. They made me feel so welcomed and a part of their family.

I'm very happy everything we so smoothly at the vigil.... and the emails are coming right and left with more stories and old photos of Janet.

Thank you WS for your devotion to this case. Watch for updates soon to Tears For Janet..

LL&S, so glad you got to attend and meet Janet's family and friends. I'm also glad the vigil was a success. It sure proved who really cares about Janet and her unsolved crime.....husband...husband's family....no show. IMO, they blatantly and publicly showed they don't care by not showing up to her vigil!

LL & S - thanks for the update, I can't wait to see the pictures. I really wish I could have gone, it would have been nice to meet you. I thought you were at the vigil in Lodi, CA and I was there, but didn't get the chance to meet you there. Take care and thanks for all that you do in helping families in need.
