As for the media being at the mass, it wouldn't be that hard to find out the mass times & stake them out. I do think they're overeager for publicity, but even if they had told the media they were going at a different time, it wouldn't have been hard for the media to stake out the church for a day and a half (to include the possibility of a Saturday evening mass).

Actually going to mass makes sense either way. If they're innocent, while they could have Communion brought to them, maybe they wanted to get back into their routine & see the people in their parish. Parishioners (sp?) can be very supportive of each other. If they had something to do with it, then it's part of the act they've been putting on.

Being Catholic they can also request having the service and Communion brought to them in time of need.
exactly! i work at a hospital too, and the priest will bring the eucarist (sp?) to the nurses and patients in the hospital as well on sundays since they are stuck their and unable to leave for mass! i'm not catholic... but i know MANY times i have seen the priest come up for patients and some of our nurses on sundays

At our Masses, the two-year-olds usually end up in the cry room halfway through the service.

Unless their parents have doped them. ;(
