Lets do not trust the Ramsey's. They had the MONEY. They had the means to do this crime.Juliet10 said:I don't trust the family.
Who has been helping Karr all these years? with money etc.? The only people that would help a weirdo like Karr, is family. I don't believe the brothers and sister haven't been in contact with him. I think they knew he was in Thailand and everywhere else. How come none of the brothers have answered questions about Karr ever being in colorado, ever? or if he liked to travel out of town a lot, have jobs in other states, go off by himself or been gone for days or weeks? On Karrs resume it says he dabbled in real estate during this time.
Everytime a person skips town because they're charged with a crime, the family usually always helps. That is usually how the police find them.
Yes! Any type of photo that the family submits would have to be authenticated that it hasn't been altered. It would also need to be definitively proven to have been taken on December 25, after such time as the latest opportunity for him to have flown to Colorado. Before he needs proof of where he was, the DA in Boulder needs evidence that he was there!aspidistra said:I don't think so unless the photo could be timed and verified in some way. Even then it will not be an air tight alibi. As others have mentioned, Karr could have had Christmas morning with his kids and wife, and still got to Boulder, committed the crime and been back before the next morning.
That's exactly it! He would only have to be missing from his family long enough to catch a plane from Atlanta to Denver, and then go 30 miles to Boulder, commit the murder after 10:00pm and then get home on the first flight in the morning. So, let's say he's gone 12-14 hours. How is a family photo going to prove (in a courtroom) that he couldn't have accomplished this?aspidistra said:I really don't think any photo at all can prove Karr was in Alabama or Georgia between 5 pm and 2 am or thereabouts on Xmas day.

There is only one possibility I can think of as a "time stamp" for a photo: if the photo was taken in front of a television screen which was broadcasting the evening news for 12/25/96, and the network could verify it.

Not sure if you're joking here or not, but if we're going to put our tin foil hats on, I suppose a tv newscast could be videotaped.panthera said:There is only one possibility I can think of as a "time stamp" for a photo: if the photo was taken in front of a television screen which was broadcasting the evening news for 12/25/96, and the network could verify it.

Back then, he could've walked into an airport and paid cash for a ticket. The car rental company may still have a record from 1996, or he could've taken a bus from Denver and returned the same way.Mabel said:If he took a plane, the airline should have a record of him buying a ticket. Likewise, if he rented a car to drive the 30 miles to Boulder there should be a record. I think the burden is on the DA to prove that he was in CO. His word just isn't going to do it.
Yes, someone could've videotaped the news. We're not talking about what year a photo was taken, but rather proving it was taken in the late afternoon/evening/night of December 25, 1996 ~ during the time it would've taken him to fly to Denver, murder JonBenet and return home.kayebee said:Not sure if you're joking here or not, but if we're going to put our tin foil hats on, I suppose a tv newscast could be videotaped.
Regardless, there are all sorts of things that would reveal what year a photo was taken: hairstyles, clothing, objects in the background, the ages of children in the photos. Haven't you ever looked at an undated photo and figured out when it was taken? I have all sorts of photos that I can tell when they were taken: the summer I dyed my hair red (1998), the semester I spent in London (spring 1992), that Christmas we bought a half-dead, lopsided tree from the guy who set up shop at a gas station (2001), the year my husband wore a goatee (1999), etc., etc., and so on.

I'm wondering about the other brother, Michael. We haven't heard one peep from him since this whole thing started. Maybe he's the one that worked for JR.Juliet10 said:a good question to ask the brother is
have you ever been to boulder or colorado?
ever been to boulder or colorado with john?
ever work for john ramsey?
why did the brother answer "no comment"
no comment we all know means yes.
Perhaps he doesn't want to admit being in colorado because then someone will ask him do you have the years mixed up?
Why all this running around trying to find a picture.
why aren't they answering relevant questions?
It seems they admit any connection to the ramseys, but will deny it was 1996 when they had contanct and claim it was some other year. That is why they are running around trying to scrape up pictures.
Just knowing the ramseys is damning.

Yes, it is up to the Boulder DA to prove he was there, then JMK can work on an alibi.

I'm not sure how long they would keep records of passenger lists. Also, several airlines have gone out of business or merged with other carriers since then. If he flew on one of those carriers, the information is most likely gone.Mabel said:Even paying cash, wouldn't he have had to prove his identity? I admit, I've only flown once in my life and that was many many years ago, but I'm sure that even back then the airlines knew the identity of every passenger on the plane. There's always a passenger list in the event of a crash.
I thought you had a link to a photo of him..........I bit...shoe_horn said:That's all his defense attorney needs for checkmate on the Boulder DA.
I was thinking the same thing.MrsMush99 said:I'm wondering about the other brother, Michael. We haven't heard one peep from him since this whole thing started. Maybe he's the one that worked for JR.
If indeed JMK is involved in JonBenet's death, someone in his family must be connected to the Ramseys.MrsMush99 said:I'm wondering about the other brother, Michael. We haven't heard one peep from him since this whole thing started. Maybe he's the one that worked for JR.
I didn't mean to infer that he used an alias to fly, just that the passenger lists may no longer exist. He could've used cash for everything except a rental car (would've needed a c/c as a guarantee). Yes, it would be nice to find a check written by him to compare handwriting!Jolynna said:I flew from Mississippi to CA in 1997. I had to show a picture I.D. to board. I remember this because my driver's license had expired and another person was called to give me permission to get on the plane.
So, even in 1996, I do not know you could use another name.
How long do banks keep records? Or credit card companies?
This was Christmas time. Karr had to have written checks for something around this time. Or used a credit or debit card.
They didn't have caller I.D. in that area back then so Karr would not have been afraid to call home if he was in Colorado. Even in small towns, there were cell phones.
Ten years ago it was still hard to do much without leaving a paper trail.
What an interesting theory! It's not like he hasn't done it before... As sick as he is, I wouldn't put it past him.EasyGruuvin said:Perhaps John drugged his family so they would sleep for two days like his first wife said he did to her, so they would believe he was with them at Christmas but he wasnt really? Food for thought...
