Since you've asked my sister's murder or method of murder was very similar to Travis. SHe was stabbed nearly 30 times (I think I don't remember the number) and nearly decapitated.

This is a comprehensive story on it and one of the reasons I"m going on Ricki Lake:

http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1994...policy-and-gave-two-con-men-a-reason-to-kill/

I'm very sorry.. I saw the link a few posts up all I can say is hugs & love to you! There's not anything else I can say I know..

it's on Fox. not Fox News but Fox network. ;)

What's weird is they contacted me about my sister's homicide while I was walking in to the courthouse for THIS trial having zero idea I was even having anything to do with this trial. Do do do do.........right?

Sounds like Divine Intervention to me. I am sure your sis is very proud of you for keeping her story out there,And sharing yourself with other families who suffer the same pain and heartbreak as your family endured. I lost my cousin Danny in 1977 to a horrible murder also. There really is no such thing as closure, we just learn a new normal.

So true. So so true.

It's ok...nothing to apologize for. I AM excited about this for many reasons and I'm sure it will break my heart on some levels. But my sister would love the fact I'm being flown to LA, picked up by a car service, put up in a 5 star hotel and getting to see one of my good friends who lives there now (who wrote THIS story: http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2005-01-13/news/katie-jordy-s-excellent-adventure/ -- we became friends after this project).

No worries....

OMG Katie. :( I read part of the article and bookmarked it to read later because I wanted to get back here and post to you (with tears) that you are the bravest person I have ever met, although only online. You are so courageous for what you and your family have had to endure. May God Bless you Sweetie. :please:

I find it interesting that just yesterday, some were worried about the jury per some of their line of questioning. My how the tables have turned, especially with the media commentary! Even Vinnie is admitting his boredom with Nurmi.

Anyone get to talk to Shanna Hogan in the courtroom - who is writing a book?

I've talked to Shana many many times. She's even come to rooftop Happy Hour with us.

KLC Next time you talk to the family, could you please tell them that so many of us are hoping for justice for Travis....even from Canada. Maybe it will ease their pain a tiny bit.

Thank you kindly for all you do. You are appreciated!

From Florida too... Katie, when you're able, will you please tell them there are thousands of unseen arms lifting them up through this? Our hearts are aligned & we ALL demand justice for their precious brother.
I have no doubt Juan Martinez intends not only to secure justice for his death, but to confirm his good name once and for all ~ "Travis Victor Alexander" will not be tarnished by this beast when all is said and done. I'm absolutely certain of that.

I've been lurking for quite awhile, but felt I had to register when I read katiecoollady's remarks about JM seating his friend next to her yesterday. I've been on MyDeathSpace for the last couple of months and I have been suspecting that Mr. Martinez either reads the forums or has someone else reading them for him. So, katiecoolady, I'm saying I think he knows what you've been writing about him.

Careful now, don't distract him while he's working on this important case!

LOL...thanks for coming over! And you can take my posts over there..it's a victim friendly forum right? I give my permission! ;)

Stacey and the other Dr.Drew juror are so adorable! They were electrified from today's court! I have not seen Dr.Drew since FCA, but his show has been really good these past few nights!

I told them that today...even used the word "thousands". I didn't say WS per se but I just said "court watchers". Tanisha smiled and said thank you.

PASA when you make your way down there I am forever hoping you get. You always pay such close attention and here you have answered one of my biggest questions. Thank you so much. You have taken much of my worry about our dear Martinez away.

:tyou: :tyou:

You're very welcome.

Thanks for your good "get in" vibes. They worked today. :-)

My brother was stabbed one night with his own knife. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He left the hospital saying the nurses were laughing at his tattoos. He tried to walk home but was picked up by police thinking he was drunk. They took him to my mom's and she tried to let him sleep it off. When she was unable to wake him we realized he was in a coma. Fast forward six weeks later: we find out he was killed by antifreeze poisoning.

It never even made the newspapers.

I guess that started my interest in crimes. We still don't know whether he was murdered or committed suicide.

I'm so sorry.. I can only imagine how hard that must be... hugs & love!

One final note for tonite (maybe lol). It was kind of a mystery to all of us why Nurmi passed the ball for the last few remaining minutes to Martinez at the end of the day. It was odd, not expected. Almost like he was doing an intentional fumble. Did it read like that to the rest of you?

With his slow motion Nurmambic Pentameter he surely could have nurmed up a few more slow drawn out questions but he kind of quickly ended up and tossed it to Juan. WHy I wonder?

Beth thought it was maybe cuz he wants all his experts together for a 4 day stretch. But that means 2 full days next week of....Juan crossing these jury questions? (ok that would send me in to some kind of pop rock heaven if you get my drift) But...anyway, kind of an unsolved mystery.

I thought about this and I think Nurmi passed the ball to Martinez so he could get a preview of what to expect from the prosecution. He's got several days to try to fill all the holes in Jodi's story - and after the jury questions it's become more concrete - there are so many holes in her story. I think he proceeded so slow after the jury questions because I don't think he knows what the heck to ask her to help herself at this point. I mean, the most far fetched question Nurmi put to her was asking her whether she thought about "destressing" Travis when she was supposedly in fear of her life! What an unbelievably, outrageous question to ask?!! What was he thinking? :banghead:
Makes me think he doesn't know what to do or how to defend her at this point. The guy needs to regroup. No doubt.

And thanks for all your indepth reports and descriptions of what goes on in and out of the courtroom, K!
Zaza :rollercoaster:

Sorry, didn't mean to de edify this post. ;) WIll embed my answers:

Let me think for a minute as my head is so full of so many things right now and I'm hypnotized watching BK right now with our earrings on on my TV so let me remember....God I love her,she always gives me a big hug. I'll post more when my brain opens up again. I'm not shaking like a chihuahua though..anymore. ;)

2. Posted this when it happened this am, so you probably didn't see it: was there a reaction in the courtroom/jury at all when Arias said Travis had told her he'd seen signs from God he was supposed to marry Mimi? To me, it was BOMBSHELL TONIGHT--there's the motive. He was really going to move on and she couldn't take it. What do you think?

I DID NOT SEE THIS!!! Maybe I was taking a shower!

PS-Totally intrigued by you saying you know something you can't share about MM...Juan keeps dropping little breadcrumbs about it...he's going somewhere, I just know it! :rocker:

I don't exactly know where...or IF really. I am also intrigued by this. I wonder about rebuttal..maybe? Not meaning to be coy I really don't know.

No? I swear it was in the afternoon...during the line of questioning about Cancun, was she jealous, did she know he was taking Mimi...solicited by Nurmi. God help me--I'm actually considering re-watching Nurmi's questioning to try to find it. Maybe in the morning!

It must not have been as big of a moment in court as it was to me. It just hit me like a ton of bricks--motive. She could not let anyone else have him, and he was in hot pursuit of a wife.

:floorlaugh:De-edify my post! LOVE in the clip News Junkie provided how Beth nails Jodi on that not being a word. Love Beth! Love love love!

Anyway, thanks so much for your answers and your insight. Much appreciated!

OMG - huge hugs to you! And huge hugs to Katiecoolady as she faces the photo task.

HUGE HUGS TO US ALL - I think 99%+ of us are here for a 'reason' and being here we all give purpose to justice and key hit on the keyboard tells those in heaven we will never forget.

See Beth is wearing her gift... looks so lovely on her with outfit she is wearing.
Turquoise seems to be Beth's color! Her outfit really complimented those gorgeous earrings and necklace. K, you have wonderful taste in choosing jewelery.

When Mr Martinez began today it was such perfect timing. Katie PASA and entire group of lovely ladies and gentlemen....I jumped up and down like I had won the big lottery. I was at BFF's home and she had other company. She was teaching her company how to play a card game so I was not super noisy...ooy I got fussed at for not telling her that Mr Martinez was doing recross.

When I told her his questions she was jumpin up and down also.

So for all of you that had to behave in court..we did the wave...the screams and the jumps for you. Thanks to all of you.

Girl, I had just put gas in my car and started driving; when I realized what was going on I started screaming "whooohooo!" And Junior Richkid said, "Mama, you're scaring me again!" I said, "Honey, our team just got another GOAL!" WHOOOOOHOOOOO! (I was mad screaming just because he was back at bat and I knew that would energize all of us, the family and the jury.) Little did I know that he eventually did hit another homerun/goal/knockout/touchdown!!:great:

Hmmmm...good question. As I think he has all the males in his pocket..well let's say who I'd keep. My Fabulous 4 on the back row--CPA, Wrestler, Neil, Poquito. Then on the front CEO and Paul Rudd..that is 6.

Then I'll go with The ARtist. that's 7

Oh and Donald Trump. that's 8

For the ladies I"ll pick Juror 1, Barb, Nancy and Ponytail.

There's my fantasy jury for today. And CEO is my foreperson.

I became a Nancy fan when she was enjoying her Starbuck's iced latte. During sidebar I swear I saw her slowly enjoying it and ja was looking right at her. :-)
I saw it as an F U to ja... could be wishful thinking on my part, but it made my day. :)

I totally caught that about Mimi.. I even thought maybe posted too that Nurmi must be done/mad at JA to give Jury yet another motive or object of her jealousy motive!!
