a view from the inside: observations from our own court observers #3

KCL, you said a few days ago you heard or knew that Juan had some "bomshells" coming in. Maybe bombshell wasn't the word but...without giving to much info do you think they will be brought in during rebuttal and do you think they are going to have a big affect on the jury?. I am certainly not trying to be Ye of little faith, but I am disappointed that the judge let in the power point and the magazine articles in. I really did not think Samuels was anything special up on the stand. I am not sure of what the evidentiary hearing is about today either. I just don't want a trial by ambush. Nurmi and Wilmont must be taking lessons from Baez.

On another note, I hope you got some rest last night. Prayers for you and your brother...big cyber hug on the way to you.

I just meant that when the info about the third gas can and the Wamu statement "there's more where that came from" meaning info we aren't aware of yet. I have no idea what it may be but I do believe based on a credible source that to be true. I didn't see any of yesterday's witness so am watching him now and I find him not a very commanding witness. And what I'm picking up is that he seems to be someone who primarily gave JA a roadmap of how to behave in front of the jury in order to pull off this charade. That's right up her alley as all she does is mimic how she believes she's to,behave anyway. He's offering up a list of descriptions of behavior and she's taking notes. Of,course once the jury leaves I've seen her brighten up and show animation and her mask of flat affect lifts.

I will name this witness Acting Coach in my observation.

He also doesn't come across that commanding to me other than in his own mind. Juan will make mincemeat out of him.

This case will be decided toward guilt, IMO, primarily on one thing: the brutality and forensics in this crime...9 stab wounds to the back. That and a third gas can.

Wow! I never knew this. I am so glad you shared this! What a great article about your involvement in the case! So where is Jordy now?

Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk 2

Jordy is living a small town life in rural Mississippi and loving it. She said she gave up trial watching...but made friends with the town prosecutor who she's doing a little research for on a homicide. ;)

Can someone tell me who the judge was P.O.'d with yesterday regarding Juan's objection to the "expert's" Power Point presentation?

She says something to the effect that she 'wished' they could have brought this issue up in limine before court. Was that aimed at Juan?

I wondered what happened to Jordy! I am so glad to hear that she is happy. You two were the dynamic duo way back when! LOL! Say hi to her from all her ol' friends on WS.

I did see Beth reporting on that last night and she said the Judge was pissed at the defense over this.

I have recovered from PTSD and I treat vets with it for free. So arias insulting a whole new group of truly vulnerable people along with her attorneys just adds a whole new level of thinking this jury will sentence her to death. I write this sitting for 6 hrs in a psych ER getting my brother admitted surrounded by true mental illness. Shame on them all wrapping this evil in illness.

I nearly vomited when this :censored: said JA was a pacifist. More like pass a fist.

I'm sure by now you've heard Samuels had ethics issue that bordered illegal & showed bias than independent observation in a custody case.. but goes to show no credible self respecting expert would work for DT IMHO

Can someone point me to an article about that? TIA

Hey I dig your censored smilie....can I borrow it sometime? As in all the time? Mornin Sir Steelage. Mr. :seeya:

Ok, katiecoolady and PASA, I'm going to go to the courthouse on Monday. :great:

From what PASA has told me, if you go to morning session, you lose your seat for afternoon, so I will probably go to afternoon session. PASA, I would love to sit with you on public side if you go!! :blushing: I suppose I'm gonna get there really early, since I'm coming quite a distance (Indiana), LOL. Hey, had to Spring Break somewhere, right?!?! :floorlaugh:

I would love to attend happy hour any night that week, and the first round of drinks are ON ME! (prob more, as I am a generous drunk, lol.) I can't wait for the beautiful weather, and company as well. And, I can't wait to see this jury! Oh, I hope I get in, if only to see them and see if they match the faces that my mind has created with all of the descriptions here. hahaha. And, I have a couple of true crime books to read by the pool as well. I've never read one true crime book ever, shocking! (these are Ann Rule?)

BTW, last time I was in a courtroom was as a victim, and I was so so frightened. I hope this experience dims that memory. I am ready to move forward in my life, from that nightmare. Everyone here has really helped with that. :grouphug:

ETA: pass a fist, Steely? lmao! fabulous! :floorlaugh:

That's great! I will be there Monday as well. Right now I have a 5:30 client but will see if I can reschedule her. Janine is back on Monday too! She's pregnant so may not go for HH and I'm sure will be on some shows and need to,get to the trucks but you can meet her if ya want. PASA can fill you in more on the seating situation . I prefer always the afternoon session as it's twice as long. See you there! :seeya:

Ps I,do,think going although it will be intense will be a good way to help clear that trauma. Desensitization by exposing yourself to the trigger of the trauma does work. And you will be so riveted by Juan Martinez command of that courtroom that's good medicine too. IMO ;)

First, I want to thank you for your time, your patience, and your concern for everyone around you!

Since the jurors, based on the questions they have asked, seem to be scrutinizing every detail, I'm curious what you would guess their reactions would be to the following:

1) Samuels testified that JA kept telling him the Ninja story for several visits, until her defense atty (I'm guessing Nurmi?) went with him and basically told JA what to change her story. I took that as her atty making up the story he wanted her to say, based on the way Samuels worded that. Do you think the jury might believe that, too?

2) JA testified several times that she had "lied to everyone", but has finally told the truth on the stand. So doesn't that mean that she lied to Samuels and Laviolette as well, if she, by her own testimony, has only begun to tell the truth 5 weeks ago? Which would mean, the PTSD and DV is all a bunch of horse puckies? :waitasec:

Take a look at this and it may answer your question ;)

I feel quite sure it was us! Pm me so I can remember who you are.

That article is awesome!

However, I didn't know I've been flirting with a member of the Asian Mafia

The censored smiley is part of the list of smileys for here.

BTW, what happened to your friend Jordy? Is she here posting under a different name? :waitasec:

I'm just catching up now on yesterday and caught where Wilmott cut him off as he was about to display their manipulation strategy. JM will make mincemeat out of him imo.

I think the jury will believe Juan but that's just me. ;)

And number two is a great observation! I hope JM goes with that in his cross of this guy! Good thinking!

I didn't realize there's trial coverage today. Evidently they're gonna argue about the GS lookalike.
