It happened in public and should have been addressed in public (without the jury) not behind closed doors. Today I'm upset for Juan as well. The DT team is desparate to attack his personal style. I so enjoyed seeing you tonight. Kudos for getting Alyce's aggressive behavior out there too. My favorite part was when you clearly, definitively, unwaveringly stated that the brutality of the crime will not be overshadowed by JA sexual exploits and she will be guilty and get the dp. LOVED IT.

Was there any reaction in court when Juan brought out that when Travis was IM'ing with someone that he indicated that Jodi was probably logged in and monitoring their chat. I assume that meant she was logged in as him on her own computer while Travis was logged in on his computer at home.

Why can't HLN be honest. JM is shredding ALV and making her look like a fool. If they were more honest I would actually watch them, but I can't stomach them saying things that obviously are not true just to be controversial.
This isn't the first trial I have watched, but I have to agree with others that it's a circus. Our justice system is so messed up - it's like they want to use so much smoke and mirrors and try to leave out that a man was brutally slaughtered and hope the jury is too stupid and watches all the tricks and forgets about Travis.
Here is what I would like to ask Pasa and KCL - I know you both feel that the jury is over the DT and their theatrics but do you notice the same thing with the gallery? I mean I know the people who are there for JA and the DT are going to "think" that the DT is proving JA was abused, but does the gallery seem to buy it? Is it as obvious as it seems that JM is proving that JA is a liar, a brutal murderer and this DT is throwing anything and everything at the fan to see what will stick?

I agree! A few hosts & guests seem genuinely interested & informed about the case; but most "act" interested, then say things that show they're either unaware of the facts or deliberately misleading viewers.

Even NG; sticks her finger in her ear.. (really?) Pretending she's talking to a producer as if in real time, when actually ~ court ends 30 minutes before she starts. Pretty insulting, but the carnival side-show barking & growling by JVM is the worst.

She has evolved into a caricature of I'm not sure what. She acts so desperate; like she's holding on to her show & time slot with white knuckles. And ironically, that's what has made her unwatchable, as the desperation is so awkward & insulting.

Does she really believe her audience is that uninformed about the subject matter? Their ratings have to prove that wrong, no? Or that their viewers are just ignorant? Either way, I can't watch her anymore & turn it off for the hour of her show.

(Wish they'd create a True Crime "View" type show with Beth Karas, Wendy Murphy, Katie Wick, and our KCL with a whole hour to discuss & take calls ~ THAT I'd watch!)

Here's the thing. The jury has seen Juan Martinez doing his job day in and day out. Those of us who have watched every single day and every single minute of this trial have also seen Juan Martinez doing his job day in and day out.

We get him. I believe the jury gets him. The only talking head I have any respect for is Beth Karas. And Beth does not give a lot of personal opinions.

So many of the other talking heads are just so obviously "performers". And many of them make obvious mistakes when it comes to the facts.

Anyone who is saying that Alyce is doing a good job during this cross-examination is just plain not speaking truth.

IMO, Beth is the only one actually watching & paying attention to the trial, as it's happening. The others are distracted w/ "HLN" stuff; planning for later shows, etc. but they're not watching it.

Maybe they depend on staff to watch & pull out pieces to air later, but there are important facts that always seem to be either left out completely or misstated. JMO. I get that it's their job, but for us it's something we're truly interested in. Still...
Hate when they're yelling about Juan's too aggressive while he's a day & a half ahead of 'em. The reason it matters is because it drives other more mainstream media's reporting as though it's the truth or objective fact ~ and it's not.
