I feel DT is simply taking the judge up on the portion of her order allowing for them to try to offer proof of those individuals relevance by having the inmates they've asked to testify offer evidence that DT's other dude did it theory should be allowed. She gave them that opportunity. Did anyone really think they weren't going to attempt to take it?

I don't think these attempts will be successful. But I expected them to make them.

This trial is open to the public after the remaining seats for Defense/State/Families and 12 members of the media. It is quite a small courtroom so the rest of the seats are open to the public.

In the long run, I think it's a nothing burger, smoke and mirrors and I'm not worried.

The State knows how this Defense works, they're coming in prepared for anything.

4 days until jury selection. I hope there are no more sideshows, flashy revelations, sidetracks. Only the trial, and what happens in that courthouse in front of the eyes of the families, the public, and the stenographer.

Filing motions right up until trial isn’t unusual. And a motion for transport is even less unusual. It’s procedure.

If I was the Defence Team, I'd have used the 3 day pretrial hearing to fight tooth and nail to include the KAK SODDI.

It's simply the one theory that while still faulty, requires the less amount of logical leaps to get even a single juror to believe. However, according to the transcripts, they spent the least amount of time on that theory so I can't but side with JG in her decision. IMO the ship has sailed and it should only be addressed in post conviction appeals, but I guess here we are on the 11th hour trying to fight battles that the defence team practically conceded when it was the right time and place to fight them.

If it was a fauxpas to put RA in prison instead of jail, why did authorities decide for it in a big double murder case, which shocked the whole nation??

And two different Judges at that. The original Judge who put him there and Judge Gull who continued it.

"Just because ...." apparenty. They obviously felt need to keep him there for his own safety and access to the mental health care that he required.

That's exactly why MS is a great couple, an attorney, a journalist and they're honest and unbiased. They report what they hear and see accurately. I sure hope they get in every day!

In my opinion, MS is not at all unbiased. But they are not so much pro-prosecution as they are anti-defense. IMO

I think RA went there that day looking for an opportunity to play out a sick fantasy.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he had been there multiple times before looking for the same opportunity.
Nothing I’ve read about the girls’ day indicates to me that the trip to the trails was anything other than a spontaneous idea spawned from teen boredom. They did not appear driven and desperate to go there to meet anybody. I also don’t think RA was monitoring or tipped off that they were going to the trails that day.
RA is a predator. I’m thinking for years he visited different places armed and ready but with no real intent. Playing out part of the fantasy was good enough to give him a thrill. Until it wasn’t enough, on February 13, 2017.

My theory involves a lack of self control caused by excess alcohol (or drugs) while taking prescribed medication for MDD, especially if it’s revealed he was home alone during that time. He may not even have a clear memory of all the details.

Agree with you here.
I think this was in his mind for a long while. Premeditated to the crime but not to the victims.
I think he chose this specific period of time because he was left alone.

Also the latest filings by defense just shows a lack of focus on a truly concrete defense strategy-it’s all spaghetti throwing at walls, ceilings and floors. JMO
The intern/witness business shows a real lack of planning. How does one make this type of snafu?

I have been on the run all day but OMG I am DYING to dig into the latest developments. Even though I live nearby, I intentionally didn't pay attention to this case (it was TOO close) until Chadwell was arrested. I was so convinced it was him when I combed through his social media. When the Klines were later identified as having been questioned, my resolve was only strengthened because they all had lived in Peru. I'm not saying this is the explanation for the crime (though most of you know I have doubted that RA is much more than a patsy since he was arrested), but I am very interested to see where the defense takes this. And it's also probably way more palatable as a third-party defense than Odinists.
