ABC producer paid for George, Cindy Anthony to stay at the Ritz

Ok, question...why would they be meeting with an ABC producer immediately after arriving back in Orlando?

The day my aunt was murdered (nine months pregnant, by the way, which is still hard for my family), the press interview my mom and grandma.

Well, I should say questioned. I don't know all the details because I was only four at the time and only know what I read.

How am I supposed to know what their motivations were? How is anyone?

I agree with that 100% - the Ritz does nto matter nor does the dinner, but meeting with an ABC producer during SUCH A DIFFICULT time tells me either this ABC producer was taking advantage of them during a difficult time by giving them a place to go and eat in private and have total access to them, or that this producer and the Anthony's have other business that surely could have waited a while. What is the nature of that business?
That's what we need to find out...the nature of the business. The fact that the As' PR person was the one who arranged everything, I'm sure she is quite aware of the "nature". LE is definitely trying to connect the dots...it was pointed out here in the wee hours of the morning that SHE should be questioned as SHE would not have privilege. I hope LE has done so.

This is a perfect example of the bias that's often found in WFTV's articles. Dinner's "could" cost $100 a person - that has nothing to do with the A's. What did they eat? What did their meals cost? What difference does it really make? Why does WFTV even feel this is newsworthy? Why don't people read what's actually being said or rather, what's not being said, instead of allowing the media to think for them?
Tell me about ABC then...that's the direction they should be going in.

Worthy of finding out.

So sorry for your loss.

I don't allow the media to think for me, I don't even have cable beyond the basic channels. I don't get Nancy Grace, Greta, and all the others. I evaluate for myself.

Somehow, I rather doubt going to a restaurant of this caliber, that all the Anthony's had was chili.

Just because you go to a nice restaurant doesn't mean you order the most expensive thing on the menu. If you are grieving, it doesn't matter where you dine. They may have just pushed food around on their plate.

If you had just been on LK and made a public display of lying flat out to the American public and found out that the remains of your grandaughter were just found would you go to the ritz Hotel with ABC producers and later telling your PI that these two women were now on staff. Reeks of a business meeting to me! Would'nt a loving daughter, (CA) want to be with her own mother & father to comfort them? Thats where my energies would go. To be with my own family members would be my first priority. I would have put those TV people in their place not listen to their false empathetic excuses for being there. The A's seem to pander toward them the evenning of what was to be, "The worst days of their lives." CA Florence Nightingale demeanor didn't fool me! This is Cindy's production!

Why didn't the Anthonys stay with family members?

Well, maybe they didn't want the press hassling their relatives? Maybe they wanted alone time to deal with this? Maybe their relatives didn't want them over?

I also don't see why some people have to accuse those who have a different opinion of being friends of the Anthonys. Is everyone supposed to hate them? Do we all have to agree with you or else there's something wrong with us or we have a hidden agenda? I totally agree with Chilly on most things that get posted. I also don't like to jump on the hatred bandwagon.

Finally, if Sharon Rocha had granted an interview and ABC had put her up at the Ritz, people would be saying, "She deserves it, she just lost her daughter and grandbaby."

Well, so did the Anthonys.

Since none of us were there, we can't speak to what their mindset was. So why be angry at them? They aren't even charged with anything. Why is hatred the preferred response over sympathy, or at least tolerance?

But why did ABC also feed and put up the PIs in a room at the Ritz? Did Michelle B also have a room since she was still there late that first night? Did Lee/Mallory also have a room there. Also the Anthony's have not lost a daughter at all, she's alive and well in jail?

Point is: Sharon Rocha did NOT stay at the Ritz Carlton or any hotel for that matter, paid by ABC or anybody else the day Laci and Conner's remains were found. For that matter, Lee& Jackie Peterson lost a grandchild too- but the Anthony's act far more like them- cover-up mode, so yes people don't like their actions!
Also, Lee couldn't have put them up?????

Sharon Rocha was allowed to go home to her own house after the bodies were found. Her home was not surrounded by news vans and reporters anxious to get her every facial expression on camera. If the A's had gone to Lee's, the media would have been all over them. Besides this is not a competition between the A's and everyone else who has lost a family member. I don't understand the point of all the comparisons, every situation is different.

I assume because they wanted an interview, because they knew a LOT of people would watch/read it.

I would say that realizing that your daughter may go to jail for the rest of her life for killing your grandchild can be thought of as a loss.

Here's the thing I don't understand.

People are upset when the A's are in front of the cameras
People are upset when the A's go in hiding
People are upset when the A's accept interviews
People are upset when the A's don't give interviews
People are upset that the A's are staying in the same house where it is believed Caylee was killed
People are upset that the A's stay at a hotel
People are upset that George stayed at a different hotel when contemplating suicide
People are upset that they do anything.

Yes, I get that people are upset because of the ENTIRE case....I am too. But rather than scrutinizing every little tiny thing this family does or does not do....shouldn't we be caring for our own families?

Evidence of what? I don't see the proof of anything.

In this case, I think it could be evidence that the discovery that day of a little female child's remains in a location they had previously sent an associate to search may not have been a heart-breaking shock to them. A horrible sadness, absolutely, but a knock you back on your knees shock ? Maybe not.

That heart-breaking shock may have occured much sooner and if so, there may have been a coverup of the crime following it. That's what I'm trying to figure out - when did they learn what I'm sure was the worst possible news they had ever received. I keep seeing Cindy's devastation at that one press conference where she could not even keep her head up.

After all, if they knew that the worst had already occured to their precious granddaughter, the natural instinct would be to protect the next most vulnerable member of their family, Casey. Crimes are sometimes committed without malice. IMO

I'd like to know if there was a cover up, too. But I don't think where they stayed at and what they ate is evidence. I think other information may be evidence, though.

I don't think they had anything to do with Caylee's death, and I do think they loved her very much.

Casey, on the other hand, is guilty in my opinion. But that's only based on what I've seen so far, which isn't everything. I'm sure more will come out as the trial comes up.

I love violin!

Unless you're doing something other than playing violin for me.

It was all for you - I returned the shovel to the neighbors.

You really need to check yourself.

She's entitled to her opinion, just like you are whether you like her opinion or not. She doesn't need to check herself.

Many of us have had murdered relatives. They didn't start interviewing my family until 5 days later - after the body, which was on tv for a while, was identified. To quote George, "we belong to an exclusive club".

Any normal family would have said, "We can't meet with you, we have just learned our beloved Grand baby is dead, we can't even think straight, we are heart broken". "This meeting will have to wait!"
It's all about priorities with these people.

Respectfully, remember, TOS...challenge the post, not the poster.
