Accused DC Madam Commited Suicide *merged threads*

JanetElaine,

I can see you probably have not see/read my posts re: Palfrey's case.

To be honest, no I haven't. I find the font you use very hard to read, almost like trying to read caps. No offense or anything personal, I don't know much about you since I skip your posts because of that reason. :o

I saw Fox the other night, I believe with Geraldo. He was interviewing Jeanine Pirro and Kimberly Gilfoyle and a radio announcer who had interviewed Palfrey. All three think that she was murdered.

mister happy,
Thank you for posting the link.
The letter to her sister made me cry. She had a tormented soul. :(

I absolutely agree. Those weren't the kind of notes one would write under duress.

JanetElaine,

Hello! It was nice of you to respond to my posts!

Regarding the font I use -- I've been trying out several different fonts on our IMAC because the font that is set up on our computer is so dang small, I can hardly read what I'm typing (and I'm not losing my eyesight, thank you very much). I've tried to use a smaller size with the font so it's not so big.

As far as all caps - I don't do that very often -- at least I don't mean to. Only when I'm trying to emphasize a point. When another person is reading what you've typed, sometimes the meaning gets lost...so i do try to emphasize certain words or phrases to get the point across I'm trying to make (usually by italicizing).

Anyway...please do read what I've taken the time to post. The links are great links to read if you're at all interested in this subject. Plus, all the answers to your questions were already answered in the links I had provided. Wayne Madsen is an excellent investigative journalist -- I've provided numerous links to his articles, as well as a couple of really great links to articles written on the ABC news site (the video with Brian Ross is really good).

:):)

Have 'they' verified that these notes were really written by Palfrey? Where's the proof on the I.D.? I know I sound like some sort of conspiracy theorist, but what do you think they do when they suicide someone? They'll go to great lengths to try to prove suicide -- including, at times, having someone else write notes which purport to be written by the 'suicided' person. Happens more than you would like to think.

Oh...one other thing Alex Jones pointed out on Geraldo's show. Criminologists know that most women do 'not' hang themselves when committing suicide -- women tend to take pills. Men, on the other hand, are more likely to commit suicide by gunshot and/or by hanging themselves. When Alex pointed this out to Geraldo, Geraldo agreed.

Kim, I thought your font was pretty and easy to read. It's nice to have a change once in a while.

Philamana, that letter to the sister was so sad. I never saw handwriting like that either. They sure would know if it was hers.

Well I guess I am from the "logical" school of thought.

1) She had commented that she would not go to prison for running the girl ring. But she was going to spend the next four to 8 years doing just that. Please note: She said that she was never going back to prison

2) She commented that she would kill herself before going back to prison

3) Not one but two suicide notes were found, also "writings" in a notebook.

I believe that she never thought that she would get convicted. When she was convicted and knew she was going to serve yo ti 2016 in prison, she became depressed and rather then go to prison, she killed herself.

Not the first time something like this has happened and unfortunately not the last.

Her mother and sister identified the handwriting as her own. I, without a doubt, believe it was suicide. The method used is a personal choice...don't read too much into it. I also believe all of her other talk was simply to stir trouble for others...payback. She's not the type of person I'd call trustworthy, at least.

A large percentage of women do commit suicide by hanging. And they're nearly equal to the number of men (women ~20%, men ~22%). I had an aunt who hung herself because she had an incurable, crippling disease that was robbing her of her dignity. It's really not that unusual. I would chalk most of the hype up to it being discussed on Geraldo's show. He's a well known sensationalist.

ETA - Sorry, I meant to provide you with a link. Here it is: 2005 Suicide Statistics

CarpeDiem,
Yes, surely they'd know if it was her handwriting or not.

Maybe this was a set up by Palfrey to get the last laugh from the grave. She knew if committed suicide people might think she was murdered.
I continue to think this was an unfortunate suicide. I think she made it pretty clear she wasn't going to jail and she isn't.

You know what would really tell the tale? if we knew when she made the B of A deposit.

I don't really think the general public will ever really know what happened with this case, sadly.

My hinky meter went off as soon as I read that Palfrey was found dead of apparent suicide. I hadn't even read about this case much at that point, but I knew something was off with that on.

Could Palfrey have committed suicide? Of course. But DID she...I don't think so. And I know that opinion stands in a far more astute circle of those in the know than I...

By that same token there are many in the know that have no doubt that she committed suicide. These are also people that knew her and knew of her intentions.
What are your thoughts on her suicide notes and the B of A deposit? I appreciate your insight.

I agree - it was very distinctive - handwriting a family member would know.
