Don't be confused :) I'm going to start inserting another religion for any article I read from now on. As a litmus test to see if I'm secretly biased against any particular religion.

It was just a test. It was only a test.

Now, I return you back to your regularly scheduled programming.
You need to be careful when quoting articles though...You can't just go around changing the title around or the moderator will whip that sucker right outta here.....:snooty:
So, how did your test work out?? Are you secretly bias?? Do tell...:D

Nope! So far, while I'm all for free speech regardless of affiliation, and unfortunately this includes Fred Phelps' evil organization, I'm still afraid of ALL religions who want others to kowtow to their beliefs.

It's still ongoing though, so I'll definitely keep you posted

;)

Fred Phelps scares me. I honestly think he is a closet homosexual.

I should have known you and I would order the same drink. Now why don't you just give in and agree with all my other opinions?

Sure. Why not. :innocent:

Is the fact that he may be a homosexual the thing that scares you? If so, you're starting to scare me. If he is a homosexual and chooses to be in the closet, that's his decision to make.

I'm sure 2sisters just meant that Phelps "protests too much," so much so it's hard not to wonder what his real issues area.

But the problem with attributing all homophobia to closeted homosexual desires is that we end up blaming the victims (though in a round-about way). Nonetheless, it is true that some of the loudest homophobes have turned out to be gay themselves.

I hope you're right.

anyone who belongs (or founds, for God's sake) a church whose mantra is "God hates 🤬🤬🤬🤬" deserves to die in a fire.

And, I also think he's a closeted gay man (not that there's anything wrong with that ;-) ).

I really wish a group of queens would start following HIS group around. They might be able to help him face his "fears".

Let me introduce you to the lovely Reverand Phelps:

http://www.godhatesfags.com/ (deliberately didn't hyperlink so you could see his URL)

This lovely man of God protested the children's funerals in Alabama (bus crash) because Alabama (in his opinion) is too "friendly to gays".

We don't have to follow him, Karole, because he follows us. We face off with Phelps and his followers all the time.

(Although this year they were a no show at the Palm Springs Gay Pride Parade. Maybe they know a lost cause when they see one.)

Don't miss my point. You guys should be following HIM. Every time he applies for a permit, a couple of hundred of the best looking queens should be as minimally dressed as possible (*ssless chaps, etc) and follow HIS group around. Have some t-shirts made up as well. His say "God hates 🤬🤬🤬🤬", theirs could say "Gimme more Fred" or something.

Drag him out of the closet before he does more damage!

Nothing scarier than a self hater.

I really am amazed that someone hasn't gone "temporarily insane" yet and offed him. There isn't a jury who would convict em!

The sight of me in @ssless chaps might well put Mr. Phelps out of commission for awhile. But think of the collateral damage! Oh, the humanity!

Hey. Collateral damage could serve as a warning to his offspring!

I say go forth and be *ssless for the good of America!!

There is no corp out there that is perfect. I just want to touch base on something though. Are you calling every person that works at wally world dumb and they have a lousy work ethic?

And it's not that they are the only ones that will hire someone. Sometimes it's the only game in town and sometimes, working at walmart beats working another job that won't give you insurance.

I'm not a huge fan, but I have a child that works there. A child that also is joining the service and is a good kid that understands the value of money and has a wonderful work ethic. His job that he's had since he was 16 laid him off. Going to school too so the hours were good. Money is money, and if you need it, walmart is better than starving.

I do like their stance on gay marriage, I'm not happy with the way they seem to treat others sometimes, I'm also not too keen on the whole moving in and taking over aspect they have. But other than using all their money for gas to find work further out, wal mart is it in that little town.
Easy there - of course I'm not saying all their employees are dumb and lazy.

Just that as much as we'd like to see all jobs paying a good healthy wage, there are purposes for those that don't. A student, someone's first jobs, a stopgap job between situations - that's a classic one. And he'll probably do quite well in the job, if WalMart knows it's stuff. You can start out there, be a good employee, get promoted, and make a good job there. But a place that pays peanuts works also for people whose work, really, isn't worth more, who never progress.

I can see worrying just because if he's a homosexual, those types do seem the worst, the most violent - they can't stand what is in themselves, so they figure if they destroy it in the rest of the world, they can destroy what is in themselves.

Unfortunately, such peanut-paying jobs replace better jobs without considering the qualifications of workers. Other economic factors dominate.

You're right. If he hates that aspect of himself, he could very well be quite dangerous.
