Okay, got it: haloperidol. That's what is being reported on TMZ.

Haldol is the brand name for Haloperidol. It's the same stuff.

I don't know why the name of the guy who molested Corey is being withheld. I don't know why his mother or Cory F. will not tell us who it is? Why are they protecting this slime? Why didn't they make sure this guy was prosecuted when Corey said he was molested at only 14? I wonder if he is still out there molesting? The host of Access Hollywood asked Coreys' friend if it was Michael Jackson who molested Corey, she said no. The next day the host apologized, but I thought it was kind of rude. Cory F. said he was molested also but I'm not sure if it's the same guy. If it is he should tell, in his friends memory. I believe that was the beginning of Coreys' problems. He should have been getting therapy and maybe he could have been saved.

When my step father commited suicide they had enlarged heart listed as his cause of death until his tox results came in months later. Drug abuse or OD (in my step fathers case Crack, Oxycontin, Klonopin, Risperdol and alcohol) can cause an enlarged heart.. as can many other issues. Ohh the things we do to our bodies! :crazy:

Supposedly there's been a prescription drug ring disbanned related to Haim's death.

They are claiming he had up to 20 different Doctor's? Talk about Doctor shopping. He allegedly had a script for Oxycontin on a fake script pad.

You're right, Butterfly. We'll have to wait for the toxicology tests.

The agent said he had flu like symptoms. If that is true that could be from kicking the drug. Or he could have actually had the flu. The fever could actually be related to a flu, but it could also be related to drug use. I'm not certain if he had ever been a IV user, but you can get sepsis amongst many other infections from IV use. Cotton fever. Abceses are nasty. You can get endocartritis. Not sure I spelled that correctly.

His mom mentioned a fever. I'm wondering if she actually felt his head or took his temperature. Sometimes when you're an addict and have been clean and pick up you want to keep it to yourself. If he was kicking Oxycontin that would be a nightmare. It's a vicious cycle and he'd be sick and then pick back up and that's when it's mighty dangerous. That's the point most people do overdose.

He was so young. It's so sad. My heart hurts for his mom. I'm praying that it is something else and the poor soul can rest in peace. Sorry if all the above was TMI, but with drugs anything can happen.

Maybe I missed it, IDK. We have been in the midst of moving and getting things hooked up, turned on, etc...
I thought the Corey Haim death would have made a HUGE thread. I thought he was the prettiest thing alive when I was younger (License to drive era.)
And although I didn't expect too, I became a fan of "The Two Corey's" when their show debuted. I can't believe there isn't ONE thread here on his death, surely I am just over-looking it.....

Thanks for the update I had a feeling Corey death was from natural causes. Rest in peace Corey.

Oh, he definitely was using - there were drugs in his system - just not enough to contribute significantly to his death. I do not think Corey was clean and I think years of abuse left him physically vulnerable to death. But drugs did not cause the death (in the immediate sense, at least).

It was interesting to me because I had assumed an accidental overdose a la Heath Ledger and DJ AM and Brittany Murphy.

Yes there was drugs in his system, he was seeing an addiction specialist, and he was prescribed many drugs, which was also a controversy. I know there have been reports that a bunch of illegally written prescriptions were found in his name, but it was also reported that HAleigh Cummings bones were showed to Misty.
It didn't make since that everyone was saying he was clean he was really trying to get back on track, and drug overdose does not cause a fever. As I said in the begining.
